I dunno I think BB is fine as is. Unlike Vanilla Isaac in Rebirth and onward there are a ton more soul heart friendly items to make BB not bad. Not to mention Polaroid makes him amazing.

My reasoning in this is that while the lost is tense even with his recent buffs, BB is still an absolute slog to play. He's not even entertaining in a rage-fueled gaming sense, he's just tedious as all hell to use. At least give him something unique that's positive. Everyone else has something, like the lost starting with spectral. BB has nerfs and that's it.

??? is the hard mode of the game, with Lost being the insane mode of the game. No character needs a buff or nerf, except maybe Lost to avoid plain unfun conditions like unavoidable super troll bombs and constant HP buffs.

Obviously Isaac is better because the D6 is one of the best items in the game but it's not like his stats are trash or anything.

Even the Lost starts with some of the best things to have in any given run (spectral, flight, build re-roll, free devil deals), at least give ??? [I]something.[/I]

Then Halloween added Whore of Babylon which is always useful for him, then people discovered that you could abuse i-frames to steal devil deal items in Flash. Then Wrath of the Lamb added a plethora of items that synergize with his unique health status. Rebirth comes along and adds even more of these things, then guarantees that the Polaroid is provided so he effectively always has 5 seconds of i-frames from then onward. He's not exactly hard anymore. He hasn't even been changed since Flash Isaac, instead he just has more things to interact with that take advantage of that special health status. The excessive reliance on special drops could be better. While blue fly drops would help his damage, it'd hurt in the long run to be incapable of [i]using[/i] those red hearts as D20 fuel or food for Dark Bum. Lil Larva would work well with The Poop, as it'd allow ??? to generate helpers without it interfering with health drops. Your suggestion to drop deal costs down is overkill, soul hearts are more plentiful than heart containers are, that's why they cost more.

Any statement in favor of the polaroid working well with him is effectively null when you remember there is a path where you are not allowed to pick it up, and it's the most difficult one in vanilla rebirth. Also I don't see why attack flies from heart pickups would hurt him if he has something that uses heart pickups. Just don't pick them up. You're significantly more likely to wind up with a floor of drops you can't use than you are to have either dark bum or the D20 (or the daemon's tail) to make any use of them anyway. [editline]t[/editline] He needs at least one unique benefit IMO, to offset his crippling nerf. Other characters can very easily get the boon of always-on babylon and polaroid, those aren't exclusive to him.

That blue baby bomber challenge is nice. If you get judas shadow and then come back, pick up magic mushroom and a bloodbag. Easy win. Along with a ball of bandages. accidently did satan but I was unkillable with 6 red heart containers.

There's something wrong if I can't beat Ultra Greed with Abaddon + Sacred Heart or Ipecac + Mom's Knife. This scaled health thing needs to be toned down. I'd be better off going full on tank like it was Vanilla Isaac or scumming the game with Gnawed Leaf and Daddy Long Legs.

God damn I hate The Haunt so much when he's the first boss. Fucking little ghosts are so god damn fast.

oh my god... get far into greed mode with the lost with epic fetus, go to progress to the next floor and the trapdoor room is filled with tiny spiders and I die i'm never going to beat this shit

Ascension isn't as "epic" as My Innermost Apocalypse (which sadly it's a track that is abused for comparing to Rebirth's tracks) because ??? isn't considered the truest final boss in Rebirth.

Today's daily run gives a chance to skip past the tropyhy thanks to a bedroom on depths 2 having a hole in it to womb. What happens if you skip the trophy? If you beat the entire game do you still get to submit your score or is it forfeit?

beat the guardian challenge with 1 and a half soul hearts left, and when it lives exploded, the ring of tears hit the punching bag, leaving me with half a heart they really need to improve the AI on that thing
