It would be better if it actively ran away from anything in the room that could damage it
expect an update early next week that should fix more bugs, address the difficulty spike in ultra greed and re-balance azazel :)
Wow surprised we got a tweet that said exactly what was meant and not some cryptic message like "13:09 10001010100101010010100100001 24.787 asdfghjkl;"
I wonder if "address the difficulty spike" refers to them toning it down or just saying why exactly they did it.

Double Forsaken out bullshits double Adversary for most bullshit attack mechanic.
Both Forsaken doing their spinning Brimstone shots but in opposite directions.
Literally impossible to dodge.
as if the scaling wasn't lame enough, why did they feel the need to make greed more aggressive
To be fair, [sp]Ultra Greed[/sp] became really easy after the first time you fought him imo.
It would be better if it actively ran away from anything in the room that could damage it
yeah
he just walks into bombs you drop, doesn't seem to care about spikes, so many little things that add up to a really frustrating challenge
Random Questiom: Does anybody knows what happened to Killburn?
I remember his custom boss The Pile based on Notyoursagittarius's artwork and the rebirth version of some community remix items like "Mucormycosis".

The boss is a posthumous version of Polycephalus, just like The Stain.
Any tips for the braaiiins challenge? This one is going to suck...
God fucking dammit I keep getting all the way to the dark room with ??? and getting my shit pushed in by double and triple bosses with gimmicks my build can't handle.
I stand by my water torture comparison from earlier. My god, even the lost is more fun than this. At least with him most runs end in under five minutes, rather than wasting over 40 and ultimately yielding the same result.

Always wait a few seconds to shoot. Also use the poison effect as an indicator when to shoot again, cause after you shoot all 3 you're a sitting duck for a few moments.
Ed put up a reddit thread talking about the current concerns about the game's difficulty

"Guaranteed Damage Rooms: im not aware of these but if they exist please make a thread about them so the guys can see it and address the issues"

lol
Azazel: sadly this was a typo on my part when i sent a message to the guys that i wanted to re-balance az by raising his charge time slightly OR lowering his damage.. i accidentally typed AND and we got the ultra nerfed az we know today.
this will be addressed in next weeks update

Tiny Rooms: i hear you here, but i still love the extra challenge small boss rooms give, but im going to make these rooms more rare in the next update.
Phew
I hope they go with the increased charge time, I can deal with that but not the damage nerf.
So, question. If you had to give every character without a starting spacebar item (Eve, Lazarus, Azazel, Cain, Samson) one, what would they be?
So, question. If you had to give every character without a starting spacebar item (Eve, Lazarus, Azazel, Cain, Samson) one, what would they be?
Razor Blade, Bottle of Pills, Satanic Bible, Portable Slot, and Blood Rights, in that order.
Eden: D8
Well, it kinda has the chance of getting any spacebar item anyway
The only fixed starting item I think would be appropriate for Eden is chaos. Random starting items, random stats, and then thoroughly random item pools. Now THAT would be fun.
yeah i originally put d100 just for maximum craziness, having a character dedicated to just pure random madness could be fun

Is there any way to re enable using the mouse to target with epic fetus? That's literally the only thing I miss from flash isaac (bar the music)

also I just realized you can just resize the window to see the entirety of tall rooms, this makes greed so much more fun for me
Can Angel shit get some damn buffs? How about
Blessed Floors
Blessing of Knowledge
Floor size is decreased by one tier
Blessing of Light
The floor has the effects of the treasure map and compass from the start
Blessing of Singularity
Entire floor is just one path only diverging for special rooms

Blessing of Health
Regen for the entire floor, which is much faster than standard regen effect
Blessing of Wealth
All coin drops are increased in value, 1 > 5, 5 > 10 (does not apply to coins generated manually)
Blessing of Passage
All doors can be opened with a key, even if they are sealed because monsters are in the room
Blessing of Flight
Flight for the entire floor. If already flying, large boost to speed instead
Blessing of Prosperity
Floor has an extra item room which doesn't require a key. Floors without an item room are given one anyway
Taking an angel room item qualifies you for blessings as well as curses, and the more you take, the more likely you are to be blessed, rewarding the pure and faithful who shun his dark temptations.
I hope they go with the increased charge time, I can deal with that but not the damage nerf.
The charge time is what makes playing as him so excruciating now IMO. I really don't think he needs either still but if I had to pick one I'd rather he keeps the damage nerf. At least damage boosting items tend to be a bit more common than items that decrease charge time (at least in my experience playing as Azazel).

I think the damage is more important, having to wait a few more seconds really isn't a big deal once you get the hang of it.
yeah onan's streak was soooo hard wowwww zzz

No offense but those are way too good. For example five cents from one cent is a huge boost and would make money trivial after just one floor.
No offense but those are way too good. For example five cents from one cent is a huge boost and would make money trivial after just one floor.
It only ups coins generated by the floor, and not coins from gambling machines, on-hit effects, bombing the donation machine etc. Only ones already on the ground, dropped when the room is cleared, or obtained from champions are scaled up.
And considering they would be impossible to get prior to taking an angel offering - and rarer than curses even after that until you've taken three or so - they're good for a reason. Angel rooms kinda suck compared to their dark counterpart, this would make them more worthwhile to hold out for; either go for raw power and side with the devil, or stay with the light and pray for a divine blessing that could help you when you need it most. The latter would literally have you praying for miracles, which you can't say doesn't fit the theme.
Angel rooms kinda suck
Are you talking about the room that can give you either Dead Dove, Holy Grail, Holy Mantle, Sacred Heart, The Halo, The Relic, The Wafer or Trinity Shield for free?
Objectively the best combo: Steam Sale, Steam Sale, and Restock. You get an infinite number of items, pills, keys, cards, w/e they have in the room. Eventually you get chaos and then the whole game goes to hell in the best way imaginable. The hardest part of the game becomes navigating through all the unused spacebar items that surround the one for "sale".
I'm gonna live update what happens for a while. I found dead cat but the health reduction doesn't matter because I have infinite health up and hematemesis pills.
I don't... I don't take damage any more.
Are you talking about the room that can give you either Dead Dove, Holy Grail, Holy Mantle, Sacred Heart, The Halo, The Relic, The Wafer or Trinity Shield for free?
And yet more often than not it will instead give you soul hearts, eternal hearts or holy water?
Like seriously the past SIX angel rooms I've found with pedestal items have all been holy water. And I've actually never found holy mantle, the wafer or the relic in one of those rooms, nor have I ever found the sacred heart at all. Maybe it's the shitty odds that need fixing.

I'll be honest, I can't remember the last time I found any of the really good items in an angel room.
I do remember the last time I found Dead Sea Scrolls, Holy Water, Rosary, and Celtic Cross, however. Angel Rooms just don't consistently provide useful stuff and consistently spawn enough for me to try and avoid every Devil deal I see.
