Heroes of the Storm - It's like if Blizzard made Smash Bros. but not! - Games

Man Anub'arak, Diablo and Zagara so fun to play as.

Being able to get quests that you can't complete nor cancel like playing with X characters that aren't even in the default rotation is very dumb.

There is also no quest to play a specific character, just character type.

Raynor feels really shitty now since the changes, really hope they just end up scrapping his current kit and start over, it's really basic and boring. +20% range in his trait, why? Why is that a fucking trait?

Yes, but why does it need to be his trait? Why isn't an innate thing so that he can actually have something interesting as a trait? In my mind, it'd be like if League gave a champion a passive that increases their attack range. Why do this? It's boring, bland, and comes off as lazy, especially since it could just be a part of the champion's base stats anyway. Surely there's something better they could do with it.

I agree that it doesn't make much sense to have a passive ability that just boosts his base stat. Nova has the same but she also gets passive stealth out of it.

There is also no quest to play a specific character, just character type.[/QUOTE] I don't, I'm still level 9?, which means I'm stuck with a quest I can't complete (in this case, play 3 games with a specialist) until I either hit level 12 or 15, or until they change the free rotation and hopefully throw one from that type in the basic pool, or I grind and spend gold on unlocking one just for the quest. They certaintly did not think this system through. Or maybe they did.

I know that if I force myself to play more than what I want to I'll end up dropping the game again (I got into the alpha, but between the lack of optimization, abysmal gold gain and unavoidable poor matchmaking beause alpha, I didn't play much.), specially since I'm not really too active/adicted to the game either, I just play a few matches every now and then. Still, not having a properly sorted free rotation with atleast one of each role by default shouldn't be a thing and no one can deny it. If they can't do that they should atleast let you cancel quests like in Hearthstone.

It's like three games and you don't have to do the daily, you can just do your other dailies and keep that one until you unlock a specialist

Matches are not that long and you reach that level very very fast.

I don't like assassin-y characters.[/QUOTE] Okay yeah fair point, I completely forgot Tristana was a thing (she's shity right now) but she's also a really old champion design too, kit-wise (except for her new E) and probably one of the most blan League champions. I'd probably argue she needs changing too, if this were the League thread. Hammer is really fun and I think fairly good, too. She also feels fairly versatile (at least in terms of what she can do in a teamfight, pushing, etc). Also Azmodian is fat and smelly.

Anyone ever realize Sgt. Hammer is actually super tiny? It's just her tank that is to scale with everyone else. :v:

Blizzard games have never gave any fucks about scale :v:

It's weird because the inclusion of mounts was supposed to fix most scaling issues, which is nice for someone like Thrall who was depicted as being on a mount before but then you get heroes like Falstad and Hammer that completely negate the reasoning for the mounts

I'm probably the millionth person, but I don't know if keys are abundant at this point. Does anyone have spare keys? [editline]24th February 2015[/editline] saw the kinguin post, I think I'll pick the game up for 8$ not bad. How does FP community feel about the game? I used to play LoL way back when it was in beta and played around ~100 matches in DoTA2. I was looking for a casual Moba, and it has blizzard characters, so that's a bonus.

Good god this game's reconnect system is atrocious.

So I'm trying to choose between Kerrigan and Falstad because I need an assassin. I really like both of their kits, but I can't make up my mind. Anyone want to give me some advice?

Definitely very casual, don't expect much depth from it. One of the reasons I even play it is because I love Blizzard characters to death.
