Heroes of the Storm - It's like if Blizzard made Smash Bros. but not! - Games

God damn man. I got into this game like 6 months ago and have been too distracted with WoW to play it much. I remember buying a $5 thing that had a few characters and a mount, I gotta get in on this game already. Anyone want to play with me and show me the ropes? I'm Linkuya#1965 if that suits your fancy. Orcs and Pandaren are my main squeeze so I wanna try them out. And good ol' Goblins, can't forget them.

Is it bad that i enjoy playing Raynor?

Just won a match by firing all three sun lasers at the same time, as the boss marched on their core. What's overkill?

Block is awful and Rewind is practically broken at 20 and way better than either ultimate upgrade but besides that your build is fine. I fucking hate free week Nova. Triple Tap everywhere, missed skillshots, they stand there for an hour and a half inspecting the enemy Zagara's butthole before doing their combo. Free week Tass' with Force Wall blow my mind too because that ability is pathetic in comparison to Archon (and doesn't get your teammates killed).

Block is great what are you talking about?

The movement speed increase on Safety Bubble is amazing for both catching and getting away. I'd never play without it because it's gotten me so many kills. Bribe is probably better than it too considering your pushing power. I just don't see the point in blocking two auto attacks when it's only 50% of the damage and only on an auto attack when you can get killed instantly by a late game Nova combo, or get combo'd by a Zagara. I can live just as long with smart use of Safety Bubble.

I feel like you haven't even tried it on murky because it's way better than you think. I used to use bubble build but I went dmg build + block and never went back. I feel like I was spending too much time in my bubble instead of doing damage. Block allows me to get away with doing more damage while I chase, trick enemies into overextending, make even trades, and turn around many situations where I should have lost. You'll have another block just around the time you get out of bubble. You know what will save you from nova killing you instantly? Block. In fact Murky should always get block against nova or hammer. It's not the top picked talent at tier 1 for nothing. I would argue bribe is the worst talent at tier 1 since you can solo giants at 7 and bruisers at 13 (with my build) and then just regen all the hp back in a 10 seconds. Now I'm not saying bubble breeze is bad (it's pretty good), I'm just saying block is way better than you give it credit for and saying it's awful is just plain wrong.

[I]Might.[/I] Assume Murky and Nova are both level 16. Not an insane assumption. Her combo is going to do 933.2 damage (amped because of Ambush Snipe) and none of that is blocked by Block. You also now have 25% vulnerability because of Crippling Shot and she has 50% increased damage on the next auto attack because of One In The Chamber. Block is not going to save you from that. It might save you early game, but who cares if you die early? After Nova gets One In The Chamber at 7, even without Crippling Shot there is going to be more damage coming out of that killing auto attack than will save you with Block. I don't think saying it's the most picked talent at level one is a great thing either because Bribe has almost as high a win rate as Block does but I don't think it's a good choice either. Most people pick Purge Evil on Tyrael as tier 1 but Regeneration Master is fucking insane on him because it stacks with Amplified Healing and is barely his second most picked tier 1 talent. [B]E:[/B] And I assumed Anti-Armor Shells wasn't popular anymore, but that is picked 66.5% of the time which would still kill you through Block.

They're obviously using that sniper scope to their fullest advantage. During invis hero free weeks I just play Tass and give them the D. They all love the D. Plus it gives me a reason to get better with him anyway.

Here's the ones I'm thinking of currently: Lost Vikings: Insane head start in exp due to being able to get x3 exp if spacing them out, nice boat ultimate, surprisingly more durable than I first thought. Bonus for them pmuch representing the three scandinavian countries in size and accent Stitches: Mained pudge in allstars, mained singed/blitzcrank in lol, still play a lot of pudge in dota 2, from the little I've seen of him he seems really fun. Anub'arak: ability set based on my favourite hero unit in wc3, only seen this dude like twice, still seemed like he'd be fun. I know he's not a tank, but more of a pushing initiator. Sylvanas: Her moveset looks fun, the sheer amount of dakka that her withering fire shoots out seems hilarious. Azmodan: Two shiteating grins for the price of one, seems like a good fun pusher, haven't seen him played yet. Any thoughts of which one I should go for?

Anub is getting tweaked so I'd say him or vikings.

Just went with vikings, utterly stomped my way through my first game(If at the sacrifice of erik at least three times due to me forgetting about him :v: )

I'd wait to see what happens to Anub before buying him.

What changes is he getting? He's really cool, a shame they fucked up his voice though
