Heroes of the Storm - It's like if Blizzard made Smash Bros. but not!

I think it could be either Hemet Nesingwary or his son. I don't recall any other skins that change a character that much so it probably isn't a Raynor skin.
I have some pretty bad stuttering
Anyone else had this?
I know it's a super long shot, but if they ever release Nazgrim I'm buying him on the spot.
try tassadar, he's fun imo
No CC makes it hard for me to like any champ unless they have a really fun mechanic. The fun parts of Tassadar are psi-stormx2 and his invuln ability.
Are those two abilities fun enough? Not really, but I'm a lore fag so I love playing him.
just my opinion

Nah, look at that badge he's wearing

Same as Raynor's Confederate Marshal badge
Also hi I just got into this game a week or so ago.
Part of me wishes support characters wouldn't go on rotation.
I'm seeing so many brightwings who are soloing trying to do siege and duel assassin/warrior heroes.
I just played with a brightwing who didn't use his shield ability once as far as I could tell, he was just trying to do DPS.
I've gotten a 5 support team once
We never died, and we had cc out the ass
easy game
Im on fire today!

Excellent logic by Illidan:
-you wasted dk (true, I did)
-It's my first time dk
-wow and you picked it
So I should never pick Dragon Knight until I've played it.

I didn't know you could pick dragon knight as a hero
That's why you pick Garden Terror to counter.
it's such a shame about this games community, there are some really awful players
and you cannot really carry them, they basically become dead weight
I've come to actually recognize players like that, and when I see the actions unfold twice, or more, I'll subtly give up. I'll still push lanes back and farm camps, but I know it'll just be frustration to teamfight.
Like a brightwing picking their skills wrong. Doesn't shield the right people, doesn't sheep their healer. Or a naz that locks you in with his grave. Or a Gazlowe that goes siege when we need team fight stuns.
and it's ranked too, who would have thought. I would have thought terribad players didn't play much in that.
Today I had two teammates die to a tower, they didn't even manage to kill it. They just thought that fighting the tower at level 2 was a good idea.
Never fight towers alone unless you got minions with you. That's what I was told.
I was teaching 2 new friends how to play, as they were curious about the game.
4 games of hyper aggressive Brazilians. I had 2 of them tell me in Portuguese "fuck off noob", then ask me to 1v1 them in various games. I actually agreed to a 1v1 in dota but he never added me.
I actually rarely meet toxic people, there must be some sort of mmr right? I know dota has 3 skill levels, does HOTS do the same?
These bad players tend to have no idea of how the game works
One of my first games there was an Illidan who claimed that Illidan was a tank because he "generates a lot of threat but isn't rewarding to kill." Isn't it rewarding to kill almost anyone in a MOBA...? Especially someone with as much damage output and kill power as Illidan?
Also one time somebody on the enemy team was Abathur so someone on our team was like "lol 5v4 we got this" not seeming to understand that Abathur can actually do things. (We lost. The guy who said this contributed very little.)

As far as I know, there isn't any actual restrictions in the game beyond region lock (ex. if you are from southamerican you will be forced into the brazilian servers.). You can be level 15 and be matched with level 50s if the matchmaking feels like it.
After some research, apparently there is some kind of MMR thing going on in the background, just like in Starcraft, where level or rank is completely unrelated to the value that the matchmaking system uses to determine who to put you with.

Who would've thought.
Well, in HOTS exp is how you win the game.
People don't seem to understand that. A kill gives EXP, even if its only a quarter of a kill(murky, tlv, abathur), it's not worth feeding them if possible.
If you don't have someone in each lane before level 10, and they do you simply lose. If they have 4+ people in one lane...then go to the other lanes and soak exp. Have one of the tankier guys sit bottom out of harms range soaking exp.
I see people just feed the deathball lane, not realizing the deathball lane does jack shit if they don't get kills. The exp from creeps is just as important, so you win if they don't get fed.

Ah, figured. I must be pretty high then. Everyone at my skill level is good, pings out what they wanna do, is usually very polite, and knows not to die for the fucking watch tower.

That is so fucking stupid. That means Hero League rank is literally the Viagra of HotS.

Three people to one lane for some early aggro is fine, as long as you have at least one person to a lane. The problem is, doing that can get your teammates killed too because there is zero rhyme or reason as to how to lane in HotS because it doesn't matter where you put anyone.
That is so fucking stupid. That means Hero League rank is literally the Viagra of HotS.
Well, much like Starcraft II, league/rank is a vague indicator of how you stack up against other people, whereas MMR determines who you're actually matched with. It's not totally pointless, although I wish you could see your actual MMR.
Funny, most of the "bad" players I meet are extremely egotistical.
"Wow my team is so bad!!" "Wow I carried this whole game"
Like how small does your penis have to be to act like that?
the only time I'll say something like that is if the team is complaining that my pick was dumb, yet I'm keeping them healed as a support, then we win
it's like, wow you guys just ate your own words
If you disconnect for even a second during a game, you may as well quit the match cause you don't get gold or experience if you disconnect at all.
I'm not sure that's true. I've got rewarded when I disconnect and the server reconnects me.
Also why quit the match if there's 4 other players on my team who also want the reward?
Feel free to quit if you're playing VS AI with only AI teammates but you're just a ponce if you leave otherwise.
EDIT:
I just tested this, killed my connection for 1 minute - I still was rewarded.
Then 5 minutes - I still was rewarded and suprisingly my bot had gotten me 2 kills.
I got both EXP + Gold and the stimpack bonus for both of those, so what you said is just a lie.
The only time I willingly disconnected from a game was last night when I was super sleep deprived and fell asleep during a game.
Then again I was playing Malfurion so that might be why.

I think that's justifiable. So is leaving when your team is hogwash.

Well yeah, obviously if you are unable to play then you are unable to play.
But that's not equal or similar to saying everyone else are bad players and then just leaving - which is what a bad player does.
What? Twice I tested this, and twice I wasn't rewarded. Aftr the game it just bring me straight to the summary screen, not the exp and gold screen. That's really weird. I don't have an incentive to lie about that either, my internet is really shit sometimes and this can affect me a lot.
Maybe there's like a certain time of disconnect where it says "ok you get nothing" because my internet dropped for 5 mins in one of those games. In the other I was lagging really bad and then I dc/d, I figured an AI would be more reliable for my team.
I don't know what to tell you, I got rewarded each time I tried. I disconnect now and then as well but my connection isn't bad so it's not a regular thing but I don't think I've been not rewarded at any point, and I was rewarded when intentionally disconnecting the internet from my computer entirely.
Maybe it's on US servers only? Only thing I can think of to explain it, as I play EU.
I play on Americas and don't recall ever losing xp after reconnecting.
Kinda disappointing that there isn't much else to spend gold on besides heroes
