Is there any reason this game doesn't have a death recap? I've not played every champion yet and it'd be good to know what things are big hitters and what aren't. Sometimes if I face someone new I get blown up immediately and I don't know what what did me in.
Because Blizzard loves to keep statistics away from people for the sake of some "everyone is a winner" mumbo jumbo.

They are working on that. But it's supposedly not coming before 2016.
Can we no longer disable Replays? I keep autosaving every game I play and it's really annoying.
Finally saved 7k gold and now I have Arthas!
Arthas or Sylvanas are my next purchases, decisions decisions...

Anyone who doesn't have Cho'Gall wanna do a Cho'Gall thing in America?
Skeleton King is the man when it comes to cho'gall.
Just drain fucking everything and watch him die, as you wander slowly around behind him.
%-Damage really kills him good.

leoric is such a fucking troll, especially at games where you have to hold a point, because you kill him and 5 seconds later he's back, then you kill him again and he comes back again

You gotta take serious advantage of that time when he's dead. You've just eliminated one of the strongest, bruisiest tanks out there and their team is probably now super vulnerable. He comes back particularly quickly in the early game, but your team just really has to recognize when you have that advantage and press it.
Plus, it's easy to find a bad Leoric who will just give you free xp by jumping into your team. Which is nice.

ya but its fucking annoying on games like the dragon shrines, where you have to fucking stand there and hold the god damn point, and you can't do anything about leoric who's just gonna pop up in 20 seconds and retake the damn point
[editline]23rd November 2015[/editline]
i hate dragon shrines in general because that map just grinds down into a dota-like back and forth fight instead of any momentum, but leoric on that map is fucking annoying to deal with

I hate Dragon Shrine with fucking Cho'gall. Can we rely on Cho'gall to get bottom? Nope. What about help capture WITH us? Nope. Most Cho'gall's I've played with have a special ability called "Having a shitton of health but not being able to tank any useful damage" which keeps them at only 2-4 deaths even if they're bad. This comes with a secondary ability of thinking they're better than you because they haven't died as much with a hero that has 1.5x the health of a normal tank (?) yet somehow they have the least amount of siege damage AFTER combining both Cho and Gall's siege damage. I love the idea of Cho'Gall, but when each game, every player (except you, of course) has a 1 in 10 chance of actually knowing what the fuck they're doing, your team gets shit on because if Cho or Gall is bad, Cho'Gall is bad. If Gall is bad, it's less severe but a bad Cho makes the Gall about useless.

I wanted to take a second to talk about why I switched from League to this game/like this game more than League. I have never really played a Blizzard game but it's hard not to know about them. I recognized Uther, Stitches, Zeratul and E.T.C. right off the bat but none of the Heroes hold much "Holy shit, he's in here!" power considering I'm not a fan.
Likes (obvious honestly, they're the big differences):
- Mounts
So much more forgiving on one's game sense and makes for faster overall playing. In League, knowing when to go and where is crucial but with Heroes, you can learn where to go, make mistakes (going the wrong way, lane, objective, etc) and it not be this annoying punishment on you AND your team. Not knowing the specifics of the objectives or what to do at them doesn't make you immediately lose, it just puts you at a temporary disadvantage, which gradually turns into a snowball if you don't learn from your mistakes. I don't want my team to lose because it took me an extra 5 seconds to get to the fight, nobody does, has happened plenty of times in League, it can still happen in Heroes, there's just more "room" for error or reaction time. I'll put it like this, my constant thought process for getting around the map in League is "Where do I need to be? Is it worth my time to go over there and help?" and in Heroes, it is "Where do I need to be? Who can I help or what lane can I soak in? What objective is coming up soon and do we need to get into position beforehand?" You can have that same thought process in League, I'm just trying to illustrate the difference in playstyles personally.
- No item shop
This is my main reason. Snowballing is based completely off your TEAM'S performance, the whole team is at the same advantage instead of having games where one person is destroying them and because of how items work, we must nurture/focus this one player instead of everyone being able to participate in the teamfights and objectives equally. I guess this is better if you'd rather a more individual-based MOBA, but I really like how team-orientated Heroes is.
- The talent system + team level-up
I believe the talent system is a very nice replacement for the item shop. Unique additions to your playstyle and that's all you have to focus on. Not if I need "x amount of crit chance" or "y amount of armor penetration", makes tanks less ball-bustingly annoying while still preserving their uses (League was still bruiser meta when I left... Ugh), lack of actual resistances and instead, "tactical" resistances like Block, Dampen Magic, etc. Still allows for slight carrying such as that Ability Damage gets increased to 30% based off of takedowns talent.
Neutral:
- Lack of vision that doesn't require you to sacrifice power or utility. Healing Ward works good, most maps have a vision area, pretty sure a few Heroes have some type of vision as their passive or ability, so it's hard to really complain about this. It really ties into my first dislike.
Dislikes:
- The "Select a Hero" before the match even starts, leading to so many games with no tanks or no assassins or 2 healers and a Cho'Gall (;c). I have yet to play Hero League, are you able to select champions ala Draft Pick from League, or? Being able to pick a Hero that complements your team is so important, let alone being able to counterpick.
- I hate to say it because I do enjoy the current roster but it still leaves me wanting more Heroes. This one isn't really a big dislike considering I know they're adding more.

Dragon Shrine is my most played map since the patch. I absolutely hate it anymore because of bad Cho'gall players. If you want to go mid before shrine pop up, sure whatever, but as Cho'gall you NEED to be at a shrine once they activate or a little before.
I saw a Cho that kept standing in bushes, waiting for people to help him with mercs.
Gall was actually good, but Cho doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING repeatedly, just standing still for 2 - 4 minutes over and over ruined it for everyone.

Seriously, what is it with Cho and Merc camps, every game I've had them in my team, they're never in lane

They can solo them really fast so it's not bad that they get them, it's just that a lot of Cho players seem really shy about attacking anything without 2 other characters engaging for them despite being the tank of the team.
It's almost as if the game is full of cowardly nova players who don't actually know how other characters work and will only play them if there's a cash reward.
Seriously Cho'Gall is a beefy mother fucker, me and Link went balls deep when we played him no issues whatsoever.

Also, as kind of a result of these things. I've found it incredibly easy to bring people into heroes of the storm to play with me. I feel like most people I know with a modicum of interest in playing a moba are already playing LoL or dota 2, but when I tell them about the lack of item shop and things like last-hitting becoming non-existent it's usually enough to coax them into trying out at least versus AI games. When i played LoL and dota 2 more people just assumed that they would be hard as fuck and didn't wanna try.
They honestly could fix the select a hero quite easily if they wanted to by letting you talk with your team quickly beforehand, with your selected hero reserved, but allowing you to change if needed.

That's how I got the dude I played League with to play. League skills carry over very well to this game, if our team has so much as the smallest hint of coordination, we usually win. The best games are obviously when both teams are like this.
Is Leoric now as bad as people are saying he is?
I think he's "bad" because he currently has a pretty massive bug on his W where it either doesn't register hits half the time, or it just randomly breaks off of people.
Is Leoric now as bad as people are saying he is?
more annoying, staying away from his big swing is pretty easy because he's very slow and doesn't really have any way to slow you, his revive is just annoying as stated above

I'm confused.
Do you mean his Q swings slowly? Also his Q is his way to slow enemies.
Just won a game where we team wiped the other team like 6 times. It was so satisfying
It really feels like too many Heroes in this are too expensive. I can understand Specialists being expensive, since they're not for beginners and noobs like me, but so many heroes are locked behind 10k gold prices and it's meant that I'm level 28 and I have three Heroes unlocked that I want to play. Johanna, Jaina and Arthas. I want to play people like Diablo, Leoric and Sylvanas but the grind is too real. It feels like I'll have to start buying cheaper Heroes so I can get the 500g for Level 5 and then I have a pool to deal with quests, and it's a shame that it's that way.

I'm certain heroes gold prices are reduced over time.
Guys do you have any tips/tweaks to improve FPS in the game? I already have it at 800x600 at lowest settings with shadows disabled. It's really smooth at the start of the game but when the minions/creeps clash in the middle it starts dropping and really really goes down when the 5v5 hero clashes happen.
If you have Nvidia then set it to cap at 30fps so it doesn't try to push for 60. Try closing every program in the background in task manager and set your computer to high performance mode. Other than set everything on low, that's about it
