fyi the brawl reward is changing from 1,000 gold to a lootbox, play your 3 games before tuesday or else you won't get the grand of gold.
The new Hero is fucking D.Va. The teaser with the raw and the claw marks were just showing that Diablo is the bad guy in the trailer. Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
im in a group of 3 people and i got a bunch of lvl 1 heroes because of the 20 pack thing i got a free stimpack in a box and now im getting one player level every time i play a lvl 1 hero in ai because of the 100% boost with stims + the 33% boost from 3 player groups.
A shame you can't just replace a certain announcer of a map. I got Brightwing announcer out of my veteran loot crate and I don't know what to do with it. The only announcer I would use is E.T.C.
i really wish you could just attach announcers to maps instead of heroes

Did they optimize Heroes of the Storm in a major way? I played a few matches while downloading the rest of the assests (behind the optimal level) and even then the match went much, much smoother than it previously did when I had lower graphical settings. Or is it just my firewall/router finally not messing with me?

IIRC they had some performance increase a while ago, but not with 2.0, as far as I'm aware.
picked up heroes again for the first time in a while for the event, and my levels got converted from around level 4 to level 12. I unlocked a pet for WoW, but i don't have that game. Do those Diablo 3 rewards of the Pennant and Portrait borders still unlock? because i didn't receive an notification about it via in-game like i did for the pet. Are they potentially bugged due to the new level system?
the change from direct purchases to gems on top of now having 3 currencies is pretty disappointing, I know gems ultimately make companies more money (control over how much you pay at a time, arbitrary pricing with diluted connection to a real world value) but I was hoping hots wouldn't go down that path.

Oh, but your internet is a big part in making the game run smooth. And it's also dependent on the other player's performance AND their internet, so you could have also gotten lucky as well. You have to imagine that overwatch is making plenty of money with that lootbox system, especially during holiday events from VAIN LITTLE FUCKS like me.

Mind you, I'm not discussing lootcrates themselves, I think the addition of those were inevitable considering the trend games are going towards and ultimately fine as an option.
For the record, with the new currency heroes have become cheaper. Newer heroes used to be $15 up front, and legendary skins usually ranged from $15-$20. Now, new heroes are 750 gems which is just over $5 and just under $10, and legendary skins are now 500 gems at $5 for each separate tint, totaling to 1500 if you want all 3 tints for roughly the same price as before, but way cheaper if you only care for one or two tints. And yes, I do know that gems are in set numbers, but things are still cheaper regardless.
anyone wanna party up? i'm shortyish#1500

It was only gold that became 15000, and $15 to bundle them with their skin. While I agree things are cheaper, it doesn't matter for the consumer if their option is still to pay $10 for the bare minimum of gems to purchase those heroes, since there is no $7.50 option. So while yes I agree things have a cheaper price tag directly attatched to them, the only way to get the exact gems you want is to buy low and wait for free ones to fill in the gap (which is antithetical to the idea of real-money purchases to begin with, the point of them is I get the content now), so you're still dropping $10 if all you want is a 750 gem hero. The skin point I'll concede on, but that's more the effect of splitting up the tones into individual pricing than the switch to gems.

Gems just act as a "wallet" which wasn't present before. Really the difference is that this abstraction means they'll probably do things like events that get you some gems for free occasionally, along with the bonuses of buying a lot.
How fun is ragnaros? Got the lil rag skin for him.
How fun is ragnaros? Got the lil rag skin for him.
Pretty fun. His main damage also heals him, his meteor can be used to punish or damage buildings, his e helps escapes and set ups, both his ults are good though his lava wave should be timed with stuns to maximize hero damage, and his trait lets you take over forts even if they're destroyed.
How fun is ragnaros? Got the lil rag skin for him.
Downright one of my favourites to be honest His meteor is so juicy also incredibly broken on one-lane brawls/aram
Ragnaros is insanely fun, I can't think of a Bruiser/Assassin I'd rather play than him. I'm also mildly ashamed at how much I'm enjoying the emotes ingame.
Been cycling through heroes as a newbie to find something I like. And holy fuck why is Arthas so broken? Insane self heal ability, long ranged attack that also heals you and deals a lot of damage, and the root earned me 13 assists in one match when rolling as a duo with a friend. I'm fucking awful at MOBA's and I'm nuking people like they're nothing.
Arthas is godlike right now, milk him before he's needed.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/Dp4KhI2.jpg[/t] I like Li-Ming.
Arthas is godlike right now, milk him before he's needed.
nerfed?
man, Sgt. Hammer is hilariously bad right now. like so much of the roster just outright counter her
nerfed?
I sure love phone-posting. Yeah, Arthas is a godlike tank right now, far better than he used to be. I can't imagine Blizz will let him keep stomping about and rooting everyone at his current pace for much longer.
man, Sgt. Hammer is hilariously bad right now. like so much of the roster just outright counter her
Unless it's changed a lot, back when I played hammer(like over a year ago at least), using the mobile form in fights was actually better, since you didn't get any extra damage from going immobile anyway.
I think she does get bonus damage off of her trait. 20-30% more auto damage depending on if you take the level 1 talent for it or not.
The only vs heroes damage hammer ever gets out of siege mode is the longer range combined with her trait. Siege mode itself does nothing to directly buff damage against heroes, but does increase her damage to minions/structures by 30% regardless of range. Her trait and the first tier talent increase her damage to everything at longer ranges (interestingly enough, the bonus is a flat percentage buff past 4 range, doesn't scale at all past that percentage wise) In fights it's definitely better to stay mobile, siege mode is just way too big a risk especially with how mobile everyone's getting and you have few ways to protect yourself if someone gets close aside from knocking them back a bit, running away (if they dont cc you) or hoping you out-damage them (good luck if they're in your face). There are still a couple talents you can take to basically build hammer as an assasin
