Heroes of the Storm - It's like if Blizzard made Smash Bros. but not!

I really thought Belial would get the ability to be turned into a fort like suggested a few times now. Since he's one of the few characters who turn into a massive, stationary being with new powers in his illusion.

I was really glad to see the ability be added but sad that Ragnaros out of everyone to be the one getting it.
I just turn off chat because if we're getting our assed kicked by a obviously superior team and I voice frustration, everyone blames me and calls me a fuck up.
You guys have any tips for taking care of Johanna? This free week rotation is murder in QM since she's free. She seems nearly invincible and all of her CC/disable abilities feel unavoidable during the chaos of team fights, she seems so good at peeling for her teammates how can you peel her off of someone?

She does absolutely zero damage, focus on the assassins she enables and then deal with her. Try not to stand in her cc of course, but it's danger is letting their damage dealers catch you.

Tbf you can just pick brightwing and wreck her with poly when she moves in.
Or be a scum and play Cassia for that sweet physical armor piercing in lategame.

Who?
Varian's Lv13 shield break also takes away quite a bit of value from her trait.
Who?
Probably Cassia
Or use lunara against Johanna.

Doesn't unstoppable block poly? I figured it would.

Actually now that you mention it, it does stop polymorph. I guess the johanna i played against almost never used it then.
greymane cursed bullet to blow her up? he's also pretty good to hunt down squishies in the backline.
Greymane is the hero I wish to be good with, but my brains can't just follow the flow of skills he has. I never know what to do when and play sub-optimally at best.
I feel the most at home with supports that have cc, tanks and now probius. I love playing probius.
Artanis best hero tbh.
Any of you try the ptr? Alarak n Tyrande reworks are so ridiculously strong I wonder if they will make it to live without being nerfed in any way first.
You could also try to use tychus against her but honestly her goal is to get you to try to dump your abilities/attacks into killing her and not her teammates.
Just been playing some of this HotS thing for the Oni Genji Skin, the D.Va cop skin and then the loot boxes. I've been playing that Sgt Hammer chick against AI and my friend says I should get the specialist hero bundle for a skin for her. I don't know if it's worth it for that or would I be better off getting a different bundle for other class types, like tanks or some shit.

It's really up to what you enjoy playing the most. Like I've personally found that I enjoy tanks more so I bought the tank bundle.
I just got the bundle with the most gold value for me so i get all the heroes faster.
also, people on solo q ranked are fucking tools. Who double drafts 2 melee stealthers as last picks and then act surprised when we lost hard.

So far I only have experience with like some default dwarf feen from the tutorial levels and mostly been fucking around with Sgt Hammer since. My experience is extremely limited.
I think I finally get how HotS' netcode works. See, HotS actually simulates a whole fictional universe in its entirety, but due to the Uncertainty Principle, it is impossible to accurately determine the exact current state of the universe if you rejoin a game, and must replay the same deterministic chain of events from the same initial conditions at the beginning.
i always thought murky was a really stupid character and i hated everyone who played him
but then i bought him and now he's my highest level character with my best win rate
this stupid fuck shouldn't be so fun

I really hope the Alarak changes go through, I love my Highlord so much.

Did they back out of any reworks yet so far? Odds are the changes will go through, they will dominate for a while then be put into more fair playing ground.
I can't wait though, Alarak is currently my highest level hero in the game and the new talents look so fun to play with too.

They all look really cool, but apparently the...Rite of Rak'Shir talent lets him stack his Sadism up to a cap of 730%, which I can't see making it through to live.

I do feel like that talent getting out of hand is a bit overblown to be honest, all the Sadism is lost upon death and as long as the marked target isn't caught out with Alarak nearby or Alarak fucks up with his call he ends up with a 300 second cooldown and more or less at that point it's a wasted talent tier.
Or atleast that's the way I see it right now despite the bizarre potential it has :v:
It's a shame that they had kept Pure Malice as it currently is though leaving Blade of the Highlord as the most consistent talent at that tier
That is true, I was rather alarmed at seeing it though. For now Alarak is all about balancing losses to his Sadism trait while gaining negligible benefits from Pure Malice if he takes it, so seeing him be able to scale said Sadism up to such an extent was a bit concerning. I hope his Sadism trait as it will be will make Blizzard take a look at Diablo, it sucks that his passive makes him tanky and then punishes him for using that tankiness and dying.
I also just placed in Diamond 3.Yeah baby

Depending on how you played her, Tyrande might have gotten weaker than before.
Half-support/ranged damage:
Her kit is more streamlined now, and you can build Owl Tyrande from level 1, but you have to land 42 owl hits before you hit level 16, for it to be as good as before (damage wise).
On the other hand it gets better from there and has no max bonus afaik. So she is even more of an endgame hero damage wise.
You also only get cooldown reduction for heal now, when before you had 2s cooldown reduction to all basic abilities on owl hit, and 0.75s(iirc) reduction on every basic attack to all basic abilities.
You also don't have global range on starfall anymore and it's aoe is smaller.
Pure healer and cc:
On the other hand, tyrande might now be a better at actually being a healer support now with all the talents for Q and again improved shadowstalk which now (again like before) reveals enemies.
She is fun to play as aggressive support similar to how you can play Auriel, by being on frontlines and using cc to keep yourself alive and staying next to teammates for aoe heals to heal yourself aswell.
(Now probably more viable) Assassin dps build:
I did not try this due to how difficult it was to find a game since everyone wanted to try tyrande, but i looked through talents and it looks like theres a lot of potential for building a strong dps presense with autoattacks now. There was even a talent that turns autoattacks into aoe splashes for marked targets? That combined with starfall (which marks everyone it hits now) sounds like a really strong teamfight presence. What's best, tyrande can still heal and sustain herself and has a stun that can save her ass unlike many team reliant assassins.
I will see how this all plays out on live server, but i really like that Tyrande is now even more flexible than before and these three different builds are now actually viable. Tyrande is the first hero i maxed to lvl 20, and now i can continue leveling her since hots 2.0 came around.
How the fuck does Hanamura work? Not a single win on that map with my friends. Last time we made a plan that was supposed to be a certain victory, as it was 2-2 situation and we had pushed the cart and just captured the middle boss and bam, our core explodes. The enemy team somehow instantly made 2 scores of damage to it.

A destroyed fort = +1 core damage to the next payload shot
A destroyed keep = +1 core damage to the next payload shot and catapult minions will deal damage to core if they reach it.
Boss = 1 core shot
Mercenary camps give almost as much xp as a fort when you capture them and a useable item.
In this case sometime before their payload, probably while you were doing boss they killed one of your forts and went for the payload which I suppose you ignored due to believing the boss will win it.

Really? I have never seen it happen since Hanamura is more of constant teamfight map (at least when iIplay with my mates).
Hanamura is quite nice when it comes to concept but it's too fast to make use of most heroes for me.

It needs 10hp per core. That would fix so much, make the matches last a little longer and give teams a chance to do things other than deathball on their payload.
