I have a confession to make: I actually paid 10k gold to unlock Alexstrasza 'cause she's the [I]hottest[/I] [B]MILF [/B]I've ever laid my sorry eyes on. I'd also like to unlock an additional assassin hero worthy of 10k gold, but I'm currently torn between Malthael and Kel'Thuzad. I really like Malthael but feel I should learn how to play him far more effectively

Kel'Thuzad has a high skill ceiling, and if you're not able to land his combos you're probably better off picking Jaina or Kael'Thas for strong AoE damage and CC. Malthael is fun as all hell, I do well when I take Tormented Souls but if I pick Last Rites I turn into a feeding machine in my mad quest to start fights I can't win to possibly get a stack of my Ult. In the end I purchased Malthael. I'd really like Last Rites to be as awesome in practice as it is in theory, but alas.

I've been playing around with Verdant Sphere build Kael'Thas and I think I like it better than the Flamestrike build. Less AoE but it's safer (against divers), less risky, and has overall better singletarget damage.

I swear HotS got so much more toxic after this patch. I have never played with so many toxic and idiotic people in my life before. My friend is uninstalling the game it's so bad.

I also think that this patch brought out all the nova/murky mains from the depths. Was always Dia 1-3, went 5w/5l on placements and landed in plat 1--- along with some master players and some people that actually dont know what they're even doing. It's hell. Disregarding the placement system I have a different question: How is this 'personal matchmaking rating' different than before? I absolutely don't see it. Example: [t]https://i.imgur.com/8W74Yn2.jpg[/t] [t]https://i.imgur.com/DW4G0cb.png[/t] So I do the most damage, in the game, die the least and get MVP even though we lost the game. Game notifies me that I got more assist than average too - cool. And then its just another -200 points, just like always. I don't get it. I think i was expecting something much, much different when they explained the 'matchmaking system not based on win or loss'.

Personal rank adjustment is the same. it increases or decreases your points gained/lost if you're having winstreaks or loss streaks as far as I know, what changed was that performance adjustment got added which cares for your actual ingame performance compared to other players of your rank playing the same hero as you (although it apparently does not seem to look at match length), due to the recent ranking placement issues it got temporarily disabled till that's solved

A warm welcome to MMR hell. Don't talk to the Abathur in the corner. But seriously, I'm thoroughly ENJOYING watching people bitch about their placement matches this season. People who used to say "there's no such thing as MMR hell, it's just where you belong. Bootstraps!" are now saying "OMG, this is HORRIBLE! I'm getting useless golds on my team who are getting less damage as an assassin as my dehaka!" People who were dismissive of people saying "shitty people are making it very hard to work my way up in this game away from toxic players" are now the ones seeing it firsthand. It's so delicious to me. And I know that I don't have nearly enough games in HL to be out of silver, and that's fine. But now the upper eschelon is getting a taste of two players picking specialists because they were last picks and neither wanted to change to better suit team comp.

Signed into my smurf today for the first time in over half a year. I didn't even worry about winning. I just went in, chose someone like valeera, and just went ham on unsuspecting squishies. It's like crack....

Been getting back into this game the last couple days, mostly causes it's a breath of fresh air from other games. I've got 8k gold saved up so far. Is it optimal to use this to unlock Heroes only?
