After spending some time with Origins, I really appreciate it but my god the AI is absolutely confusing at times.
As soon as I get attacked by mounted guards, the entire combat turns into a massive clusterfuck. Furthermore I feel like there are way to many archers and it kind of destroys the flow of the combat. Also at times the AI just goes apeshit and runs around like crazy climbing all sorts of stuff. Yesterday I attacked a hippo and it just sprinted into some random direction and went totally bonkers without defending itself.

I agree with the archer problem. I hate how literally 95% of all characters in the game carry a bow around. Hell, even [sp]Caesar[/sp] has one on his back at one time, despite it being absent in every cutscene.

I would rather prefer the archers to actually stand still while shooting instead of weirdly hovering around you, it just feels way to chaotic and frustrating. I died quite often due to soldiers strafing around like in Quake while pelting me with arrows.
Also is the enemy scaling option recommended? I always like when games kind of increase the challenge.
I kind if like how the enemies are a bit smarter when it comes to assassinations. Now they will actually react is someone directly behind them was stabbed. Makes stealth that much more of a challenge
I miss being able to nonchalantly stab people and just walk away as they fall over behind you. I think I did it once in Origins, but I haven't been able to do it again.
I love the sleep dart + fire combination. Big ol' sleep cloud. It's insanely helpful for quickly assassinating a large group of guards, and if you're quick and can aim, you can throw a torch and then throw a sleeping dart at it to create a sleep cloud wherever you want.

Huh, didn't know I could do that. Cool tip!

I would have never known about it either but at one point a loading screen tip mentioned it. Just makes me wonder how many other hidden interactions your tools have.
My favourite interaction with fire was with a fire bow. I was aiming it at sleeping guards and accidentally set fire to the thatch shelter they were under. They did die but not the way I intended.
I almost exclusively used the Predator bow so I can actually hit my targets without them jittering about randomly and for no reason.
It's also funny as hell to be ancient WANTED and curve your arrows around buildings into people.

Predator and I think Hunter(? Whatever the first bow you get is.) are what I roll with.
Well this was definitely the easiest avenge mission I ever did.

This week-end I launched Origins again to clear up any remaining business I had with the game, which mainly boiled down to clear all the optional boss fights (the war elephants and the gladiators arena encounters).
As of now, after 35 hours of playthrought, I'm sitting at a 81% completition and a full legendary, level 40 and beyond Bayek. Really, the only things left me to do would be fucking around with tools for achievements (althought I didn't unlock any) and exploring everything, which aren't very high priorities in my book.
I think I'm uninstalling the game till the two main DLCs will come out. Still, what a bloody ride this was
ending was pretty good, one of my fav ass cred games
i have to admit i completely overlooked this game because i figured it was another shitty asscreed that has nothing new to the table but i ended up buying it on a whim since i had nothing else to do this weekend.
didn't plan on becoming a shut-in and ignoring the outside world for two days but it happened. the last game to keep me this hooked was witcher 3. definitely the best asscreed game i've played. the main story is tight as fuck. i'm loving it. a lot of the side missions are really well made too, but there's also a lot of them that are really shitty and are a huge waste of time
I really like how Eaglevision isn't bullshit "see through walls with no effort" and you have to work for that now.
I played like 16 hours this weekend alone, it's been a while since a game grabbed me like this. There is just so much content that is actually enjoyable to play through, I'm stumbling from one quest to the next while exploring new areas.
Also exploring the landmarks and environment feels fare more rewarding.
On a side note I discovered a button in the main menu that says "Layla" and I was absolutely baffled what the hell that was supposed to mean until I realized it's the present day character. This only shows that one could not give a single shit about the modern plotline. It always takes me out of the experience when you switch the character.
I actually liked it in the AC1, AC2 and Brotherhood but after that it got just so tedious and boring.

Speaking of landmarks, what's with the [sp]cave under the [/sp] Sphinx?

This is a goodbye I guess

I discovered it yesterday while exploring, took a screenshot. I'm definitely going to check out if it's possible to find something on those weird black rock formations. That said I haven't checked yet.

[sp]i don't know how to get down there but it's common knowledge that there's a giant tomb down there that gives you some dumb sci-fi costume. like the really cool quest that gives you retarded final fantasy gear[/sp]
So, can you still do all the Trials of the Gods? I killed Anubis, but the quest never updated and I can't find any of the other guys. Can I still get the outfit?
hopefully the timer resets once it's done and it isn't a limited time thing. i have like 30 hours left to get to level 40 and do the anubis trial and i'm going to be pissed if it never shows back up. that just sounds like a completely botched mechanic
that's good. some of us only have time on the weekend to play games so that makes up for it.
i've really been itching to get back on. definitely movitavated to attempt to 100% it
I have a little bit too much fun with the camera tool.
