postal's theme scared the shit out of me when I played it as a kid. RWS's old logo was pretty spooks. I'm so glad postal 2 took a more humorous and satirical approach.
Postal 1 still scares the piss out of me! And i'm also glad it took the humorous approach; but it still makes me curious what would've happened if it was still serious. Would people hate it more? Would People Like It more? Would it be more controversial? Would it still give hard ons?
I know. Pretty much the only weapons I ever want to use in serious situations are dismembering melee weapons like the machete, hedge trimmers, baseball bat, etc., the shotgun, and gasoline for enemies that are clustered together. It felt pathetically weak after I got a hold of dismembering melee weapons. Takes way too goddamn long to kill people with it.

One of the best things in this game is the endless vomit loop. If you manage to get two npcs to vomit on another with a delay between the two they both will just stand there and vomit at each other for eternity or someone decides to end their suffering. The most fun thing is when it happens randomly and you just stumble on it. Had a good long laugh when i first saw that way back.

The vomiting is one of the best things of the npcs in Postal, I love cutting off someone's head while vomiting and watch a stream of it shoot out of the neck instead of blood
itt society of humanitarians in here
As I was walking around with my dog, this cat had an unexpected response to my dog. [t]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/703983936902240582/9765E03F120643465C8C8D1BF763BDE9E8CCCF35/[/t]
Would it still give hard ons?
Uhm, care to elaborate?

The guy in the RWS shirt later kicked that fat man's corpse after this was taken. S/he almost had a conversation with a gimp but ran away. I knocked someone's head off with the baseball bat and it flew across the map to the postal dude's trailer, I got an achievement for playing fetch with Champ :v:

Looks like all the added stuff made the game slightly unstable. Started "A week in Paradise" playthrough and getting random crashes atm.
General protection fault! History: UObject::StaticLoadObject <- UObject::ProcessEvent <- ULevel::SpawnActor <- UObject::ProcessEvent <- BeginPlay <- UGameEngine::LoadMap <- LocalMapURL <- UGameEngine::Browse <- ClientTravel <- UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop

Looks like all the added stuff made the game slightly unstable. Started "A week in Paradise" playthrough and getting random crashes atm.
Yeah those are pretty common, make sure you click the send error report button because RWS actually will look at those.
So I'm still playing around with the blood settings. I got the arterial blood to pump slower and further. It's hard to see, but the cop on the left hit that sign like a bullseye and it dripped down to form that huge blood puddle. Edit: [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/EsPeFKK.png[/thumb] [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ESDr9e8.jpg[/thumb] Christ it's everywhere.
I found this unfortunate Easter egg while playing A Very Postal Christmas earlier today:
Anyone else think the ambient sounds in postal 1 and a few in postal 2 were just plain weird?
Anyone else think the ambient sounds in postal 1 and a few in postal 2 were just plain weird?
Here's some I've noticed: - The ghastly noise emanating from the valley between the Chicken Queen Estates and the Office Complex (also heard in the asylum in Eternal Damnation) - The low-pitched chirping on the oil tank in Greenbelt - The non-stop water plopping noise in Greenbelt's public restrooms - The ominous chanting at the small chapel in the cemetery
just standing around outside listening to the ambiance of the town sounds like I have my head stuck inside of a refrigerator
Anyone else think the ambient sounds in postal 1 and a few in postal 2 were just plain weird?
All of postal 1 seems really fucking creepy if you ask me.
so im leaving the napalm factory on thursday, all objectives done, and when i get out the map says i have none completed. this isnt an issue for the steaks, krotchy doll, and ticket, but how am i supposed to get the napalm a second time?

I was really looking forward to killing those pigeons on Saturday, why must you tease me RWS ;~;
I chopped off a bunch of people's arms and walked to the other side of the map, and when I came back I saw a woman waltzing around with a missing arm, while 3 other people were bleeding out around her.
Since Toploader seems to be checking on this thread, I will drop this here. In the upstairs of the Lucky Ganesh, shit goes weird when looking at the mirror [thumb]http://uppix.net/4LTNhh.jpg[/thumb]
Playing football with grenades has never been so much fun! ( Right Click with a grenade then kick them to the Enemy, Or kick the enemys grenade back at them )
Playing football with grenades has never been so much fun! Are you saving again? Are you saving again? Are you saving again? Are you saving again?
Are you saving again? Are you saving again? Are you saving again? Are you saving again?
"Even my grandmother could beat the game if she saved as much as you." Fuck you Postal Dude.
fighting my way through the talibas caves was a bitch, 1hp almost through the whole thing, saving every inch
Insane-o mode, week in paradise mod, gotta master the kick for grenade enemies. Also despite having played this game a fair few times I've never really noticed just how many rooftops have shit on them.
fighting my way through the talibas caves was a bitch, 1hp almost through the whole thing, saving every inch
Getting in is a bitch, getting out is an even bigger bitch.
fighting my way through the talibas caves was a bitch, 1hp almost through the whole thing, saving every inch
For a fun exercise, try to start on Monday, pick up everything inside the shed, and then go nowhere else but straight for Tora Bora. Don't even go inside the nearby houses for weapons or health pipes.
