Is there a job opening for postal babes photographers? I'm uhhh studying photography at college and I think I would be very good for this job. It would also help me get a better understanding of the field. This isn't strictly Workshop-related, but I recorded a video of some unique AI behavior that I found to be highly amusing. To give a little background: When you perform a crime, bystanders (assuming they survive the encounter) can report you to the cops. When those cops respond to the eyewitness's report, they must individually assess all of the suspects they discover at the scene as they don't magically know who the criminal is. With this behavior, it is very possible to pin a crime on an innocent bystander if you hide yourself at the right time. Using this knowledge, I decided to see what would happen if a SWAT team member only finds an old man's pet cats at the site of a home invasion: [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeAeyu9mqwY[/media] There's definitely a lot more going on than you might expect when you start delving deep into POSTAL 2's AI code.

Going through Postal 2 code is one of the more fun adventures in code exploration I've had.
For potential P2 modders out there, we've further beefed up the Unreal 2 editor to make it a tad more user friendly. So far you already have (since the 2013/4 updates) * Marquee select now works in the front and side viewports * Space bar will now maximize the viewport you are working in (even if they are fixed) * Added filters for the sound and static mesh browser windows And rolling out in the Workshop update you have: Better editor icons, it's now much easier to read the maps just by looking at them, ie: [img]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1193631/Dev/P2%C2%A3ditorIcons/preview/iconzz.jpg[/img] [img]http://i.imgur.com/kHfHY3L.png[/img] Many actors used to share the same icons so this should help quite a bit. *You can now navigate the viewporst with WADS much like you can in Hammer or UDK *You can now change the drawscale of the actors from the bottom of the main editor window (like in UT03/04 editors) *Added an easier way to reach common actor classes [url=https://www.dropbox.com/s/alvgczv8dpnhmzb/weapondropdown.png]https://www.dropbox.com/s/alvgczv8dpnhmzb/weapondropdown.png[/url] *Some fixes, like for example sometimes a actor would not place due to collision problems, we've fixed that so they should always place where you want. * - and = are now hotkeys to change the grid size, which is way handy.
