Yeah, just didn't know if it would be frowned upon to go in there and try and encourage people to mod for P2 and push our tutorials ;)

From what I can tell, it looks like PL will feature some manner of shrubbery, ground tiles, and what appears to be an egress into an unidentified domicile. The doors and glass appear to be missing, but maybe they just haven't finished the door and window code yet.
Well I tried out that new editor. Seems like it can load old as hell assets from 1337 with ease. I tried going through the russian expansion maps a bit.
The custom weapons have to be adjusted because they are raised a bit. The NPC's are mixed meaning some will speak american while some will use their russian lines. And of course the main menu custom startup will act like a map instead of allowing me to load up the maps through new game. That probably requires a script. That. And the expansion itself uses custom .ini files for launching the game. Which were made aprox. 2005. Though they aren't very different from the current .ini files.

So... is there a tutorial on how to make/edit level transitions? Or do those rely on a UnrealScript? It seems like the intro level of the expansion doesn't transition to a proper level and instead loads the beginning of the Postal 2 campaign.
I really need to look over how to make mods like the A Very Postal Christmas one.
They are really easy to do in the editor. Just check say, Suburbs 3 and Suburbs 1 that link together in a few places, and look at how the Telepads and link pads are set up (linkpads are used to offset the player spawning).
If you're confused by that I can give you some more detailed information, happy to support more P2 modding!
Some guy on Steam asked me to find the original print ads for the original POSTAL (that's the top-down shooter one) for some reason, and lo and behold, they were quite easy to find!

These were printed opposite the page with screenshots and game information and all that fun junk, and they were also sent as postcards to retailers to promote the game. You can see these same ads being used at E3 of 1997 in this video:

well seeing as one of the devs is here, maybe I can ask him this: Who's sick idea was it to give the player a sledgehammer after breaking free from the military prison in Apocalypse weekend? The one melee weapon solider dudes are like 100% immune to?
Also I hope whoever made the machete got an award for that because it's seriously one of my favorite weapons in video games ever.

Heh, that would be me I think. We reworked that level in the patch because it was just way too hard in the original release, and part of that was me haphazardly throwing more weapons in. I guess it didn't occur to me the sledge was useless there and therefore it was a total troll to place it where I did... but lol.
