Since this thread was bumped, does anyone have a fix to get past the Library crash? Returning the book is the only thing I have left on Tuesday, but the area crashes right when it gets to the end of loading. All the other areas work fine except this one so far.

Wasn't that an issue with an old update or am I thinking of something else

I'm pretty sure that was a major issue in an older release. I hope you saved a LOT, it's a sign of an error in the saved game IIRC.

If you art getting problems with the Library still, try finishing the petition errand and going back. Updated the original post to include more update information and of course, Paradise Lost. Can anyone tell me how to resize and align text on these forums?

Probably would be best to get in touch with a moderator, they have more tricks up their sleeve when it comes to making fancy posts than us mortals.
