Especially when you get to wear that one suit
Have a nice christmas
Postal is so incoherent both in gameplay and setting, sometimes you wonder if they knew what they were doing or they just started to cram random stuff into the game without any sort of general idea of what the game is supposed to be :v:
And I don't mean it negatively, far from it! In fact I correct myself, Postal 2 is a coherent game because the gameplay is as crazy and schizofrenic as the place it's set in, and it's so charming and fresh in it's own way, it tried something unique refusing to abide to the industry's standards and years later I'm still having a blast playing it!

that post was pretty incoherent but we love you anyways :D <3<3
My game lags a bit when I pee on cats.
[editline]24th December 2013[/editline]
Is that a feature to simulate real life lag when you pee on cats?

I know! Postal is such a mindfuck it's even confusing to try to describe it properly!
But the point I'm trying to make is that now I played Postal as an adult, I have a deeper understanding in game design and postal does a LOT of things that no game could get away by today's standards, yet it somehow all blends in into this crazy nonsensical world and it's still one of the most unique and fun games I've ever played. It does indeed make you realize the sorry state the game industry is these days
When you play POSTAL as an adult rather than as a kid, you get to understand it's humor better as well.
Woah be careful, I think image macros are still bannable outside of Fast Threads (unless some shit are really changed since my unbanning)
like i'd ever ban the postal devs

as a postal, that'd just feel wrong

Gotta love that classic game design where you are awarded for searching around the map and climbing into difficult places. Instead of as it tends to be today when you get:
"You are leaving the combat zone, return immediately"
Although I did end up with 18 health-pipes on Friday and not having smoked one I decided to amp-up uncle Dave's birthday present by dropping 10 health pipes on his bed. :v:
I just tried saturday on insane-o, the hospital part was quite easy, just had to dodge a few grenades, but then at the asian restaurant everyone went apeshit with dynamite and I didn't last longer than a few seconds.
I don't understand what's going on. I'm walking around town on Tuesday and keep coming back to areas that have corpses all over the place. I found the marching band that was at the beginning in a big pile by the library, and one guy kept kicking one of the corpses. Then I come back a few minutes later and the guy who was kicking the corpse is dead.

Merry Christmas asshole
oh christ, they have gold, now they know all of our deepest, darkest secrets
Edit: Also, can we get electric lines that shock you when you pee on them?
Just finished the game on Insane-O. Doing another playthrough on Insane-O with enhanced mode and cheats. So far I'm loving this mighty foot cheat. :v:
As I said before, I think the voice acting in Postal III is pretty great, so it's a shame that it doesn't do much good in that game. Hence, I am creating a vocal variety pack mod for Postal 2 using the extra voice lines from this ill-fated sequel. For those who have never played Postal III, the bystanders act in much the same manner as Postal 2 and thus have recorded dialog for most of the same situations. In addition to the white male and female bystander voice sets, Postal III added black male and female and Hispanic/Mexican male and female voice sets. This totals in at well over 1,500 new bystander lines in-game.
After a few days work, I now have them all functioning as a mod in Postal 2. Postal 2 already internally assigns designations as to what ethnicity each bystander is (White, Black, Mexican, Asian, Hindu), so in a way, these new lines are just an extension of what RWS has always intended. Here's a short test video demonstrating the new voice sets:

Also, in addition to implementing these Postal III lines, I'm looking through the Postal 2 code to see if I can restore the numerous lines that have been sitting long unused in the sound packages. I've had some trouble in this area, but I've managed to restore a handful of cut lines. Anywho, I hope to get a release out soon.
Holy shit dude, nice! Those lines will definitely help fix the audio repetitiveness I've been hearing.
On the same note, what kind of lines were dummied out? Plus, once you first release, people can help restore more of these lines in their former glory.
Just bought Postal 1, i heard it's alot darker then Postal 2.

I always wonder, do mods get any king of reprimand for not banning people that violate rules?
Off topic question yes but I rarely ever get a chance to talk to mods/

Someone should make a horror mod where npcs get killed off following your wake, almost like you're being stalker by some murderer crazier than yourself.

Or, better yet, where you play as a psychopath serial killer, picking people off one by one. The Postal Dude would make a good one, to be honest.

Get MikeJ to make it official.
I think modding the game is the reason I'm urgent updates and disk write errors.
Anyone else like walking around with their pants zipped down? I make it a point to do it as much as possible. I think it's hilarious causally exposing your dick while doing things like getting milk, confessing your sins, or going to Uncle Dave's compound. I do it less on Thursday and Friday because it pisses off the obnoxious SWAT guys, and the less of them I deal with, the better.

No that idea sucks. What idiot would make a game out of that?
On the same note, what kind of lines were dummied out?
• Fire-specific screams where the burning person yells "Put me out!" and such. (I've restored this.)
• People reacting positively to cats, i.e. "Here, kitty, kitty." (I've restored this.)
• People reacting negatively to cats, i.e. "Get outta here, fur ball!" (I've restored this.)
• Unique lines for fast food-specific cashiers, i.e. "May I Largify that for you?" (I've restored a few of these.)
• "Sleazy" greetings and responses in idle bystander conversations. The person initiating the conversation is supposed to sound like he's hitting on the other person. The other person would respond with "Creep!" or "Don't make me call a cop!" and so forth.
• People reacting to seeing the Dude pissing, i.e. "He must be French."
• People reacting to other people who are on fire, i.e. "Oh, too bad we have no fire department!"
• People going postal, i.e. "God said it's time for me to start the cleansing." There is no "postal" behavior for bystanders in the code, so I have no idea where these lines are supposed to be used.
And this just covers the bystanders. Cops have a number of lines that either aren't used or are exceptionally rare. Basically none of the military lines are used at all except in a few cut scenes.
is postal 3 really that bad in comparison to postal 2? or is it really just the same thing over and over but with 3rd person view and better graphics?
is postal 3 really that bad in comparison to postal 2? or is it really just the same thing over and over but with 3rd person view and better graphics?
I don't personally think it's that bad because of the idea or gameplay or whatever, it's just not finished. I wish somehow it would get "fixed" by the community or something, because it really has a lot of potential.

It's an unfinished product that had some nice little things in there, but they got butchered by an attempt to get the game out the door faster and handing actual, competent work off to more incompetent staff that chopped it up after issues occurred within its Russian developer. Despite all this, they decided to sell it anyway and thus they released a half-broken mess that you can vaguely see the potential in.
It's one of two games in my entire life that I uninstalled and deleted after playing for 15 minutes.
[editline]25th December 2013[/editline]
Speaking of Merry Christmas, how do I install that Christmas mod for P2C?
So what were the differences between the difficulty levels again? and it'd probably be a good idea to put them in the OP along with any other commonly asked questions :v:
