POSTAL Megathread: Let's piss on everything and blow their heads off v1 - Games

If Postal had its on subforum it would make it harder for Toploader and co to keep up with everyone's suggestions. At least here it's coherent.

there's no way i could convince garry to do a postal 2 subforum, as much as i would obviously like that. however, garry has been toying with the idea of bringing back user made custom forums on here once the new version of facepunch opens up. if that happens we can obviously set up our own, but that's a ways off and still only a ~maybe~ for now.

Having to trawl through a single thread of multiple discussions VS having a forum with a singular suggestions thread + discussion/random shit threads. I know which I'd pick.

Got the 40 Year Old Virgin (beat the game in 1:30) and the CAN YOU DIG IT?! (shovel only) achievement on the easiest difficulty. They are annoyingly buggy at times because the citation and the book in the library one can get stuck a bit. I think the postal megathread is fine as it is. Since it managed to stay on the front page for a long time, i'm sure it gathered enough recognition for new people to try out the franchise (hoping they start with postal 2 and not 3) Ahh, the most memorable and fun game of my childhood... though i really hate the shooter segments, seemingly as the A.I has pinpoint accuracy.

Postal 3 was pulled from Steam and the RWS store which means they get to enjoy the pure fun of Postal 2 instead.

I doesn't really accurately represent the games current condition, and the metascore is from when it was released, meaning horrible loading times, release date bugs and no full dismemberment

it's actually pretty funny how postal back then was shunned for being offensive and ultra-violent, playing it now it's not even as bad as other critically acclaimed games in that regard it was indeed ahead of it's time

I bought and played this a long time ago (before it was on Steam) and can't really remember much of it. It's installing on Steam now. Also the achievements are terrible. How the fuck are you going to make an achievement for killing [b]over[/b] 1,000 people, but have it unlock at 1,000 kills? Shouldn't it be 1,001? This game is a 2/10 just for being one number off in the achievements.
