Question for the developers, how many angry letters have you recieved from angry parents?

Vince has had so many in the past 15 years from all kinds of people.
He responds to every single one, positive or negative, and has since the first POSTAL game came out. Say what you will about him but he genuinely cares about the fanbase and community, which is largely why many of the devs stuck by him even when it was looking like the next paycheck would be some way off (before Greenlight came and saved the day).

well that's what happens when you get a reputation for firing people after their first day on the job
I wonder if we'll ever see Vince post here
It'd make for another round of fun :v:

Any interesting ones? Makes me curious if he managed to sway the opinions of a few of them.

>implying it is possible to change a soccer moms opinion
I'm sure he has some stories, I'll see if he'll come and share some when he's got some downtime.
Man, I figured I'd try to model a prop or something, but then I realized... I have no fuckin idea how the Unreal 1 engine works. :v:
Unreal 1's easy.
Just don't forget to periodically scream and hail satan, or the entire thing crashes.

aren't we talking about Unreal 2 though
Just got this crash.

Make sure you submit them, we do collect this data.

Postal 2 runs on Unreal 2.0, which like Unreal 1, still required the appeasement of Satan, just not as much.
Why was Postal 3 on source, anyway?
Why was Postal 3 on source, anyway?
At the time it was half the price of Unreal 3.0.
And then it was outsourced

I regret nothing

Dont lie, you wanted an excuse to play HL2 as the Postal Dude.
Pissin' on Breen through interdimensional teleportation.
[editline]15th January 2014[/editline]
Interdimensional piss.
That should be a weapon in the next Postal.
Alt fire fires portals, you can piss out of said portals.
I Don't think it's been reported, but there's a bug with a mirror in the Bate's hotel in the Ghetto map

Posted about that ages ago.

Corner on the right when you enter the back room.
Also when I went up against this one of the walls in the Bates Hotel I got this weird bug in the mirror.

Someone actually has to make a mod for that.

Mike?
Mike your toilet won't flush.

I can't even begin to comprehend what happened. There was a terrorist back here, and all I heard was a kaboom and people on fire.
Then while I was in Vince's office battling RWS protestors and Mike, another explosion happened and everything was decimated.

This dude was talking to the corpses as if somebody bumped into him and is currently standing on air.
There's a gas pipe (The green, now-broken pipe) that causes a massive explosion.
I know. It's saved my ass several times.
And speaking of saved:

"My finger slipped, i swear officer!"
"hair trigger on this thing!"
I saw the Postal movie recently, and i had an odd thought after the little germany scene, where i just imagine that every tuesday, Vince Desi sneaks out of the RWS offices wearing a random video game mascot outfit, and shoots someone for doing something to the related franchise.
Also, small bug, it's possible to get into the Mall and the rest of the map on Monday by kicking over one of the tables and jumping over this fence.

Not much happens in the areas you shouldn't be in, items don't normally spawn, special npcs (Parents, rednecks etc) don't seem to spawn and Mike & RWS employees seem to pop up in random places. On top of that, the whole police & Uncle Dave sequence seems to work, but you can only say hi to Uncle Dave.
Awhile ago i found out a method that requires even less work. All you do is jump on the loading sign and walk across.
My freakin' game crashed on me a few hours ago. I was at Queers destroying the merchandise, when everything locked up on me kicking a lava lamp. Couldn't sent a bug report as I had to end the game through Task Manager.
Still don't know how that happened.

Remember how somebody in this thread suggested a free-roam mode? I had a good idea for it.
In free-roam, the taxi by the Book Repository in now usable and functions as a teleporter to different Apocalypse Weekend locations like Lower Paradise, the Bridge, or Vince's home, and so on without objectives or linearity. And when you want to go back to main Paradise, just find a nearby taxi and take that back home.
That's just a general idea I had, and maybe RWS can expand on it.
