Interesting thing actually. You know how all those guys have their mouths open?
Well they were supposed to have face movement ingame as well. Every head and speech file is fully set up and still in the game files, but they didn't enable it for """"performance"""" reasons.
If only Tripwire could do things.
tripwire should stop tripping on wires

Tripwire keeps falling into their own traps.

This guy was just sliding around stuck in the position.
I swear this game is on par with Sleeping Dogs for interesting/bizarre glitches.

Let's play "Spot the things they cut out for no good reason!"
Just why. At this point I actually wish they had stayed only a mod, then maybe they would have had more time to finish more than 40% of their planned content instead of just dropping it all.
I think you'll find the reason is 'Tripwire are utter hacks'
In a game where new players are so clueless that they have to ask how to banzai charge, I guess they wanted to remove the extra step of teaching them how to attach bayonets.
ProneBlockDmgModifier?
Blocking?
Yup, that's the other thing: melee blocking. Like you could raise your rifle to defend yourself from a katana slash or something similar I assume.
They were also planning to add a feign death option, where you could pretend to be dead.
And nearby explosions were supposed to knock you off your feet instead of just making your screen go all fuzzy.
Imagine if they had the time to finish all the stuff they were planning. Rising Storm would've been a completely different game.

I'd like stuff like turning around your rifle and using it as a bludgeon or even bringing out your entrenchment tool for a melee.

do people actually believe this
Any mods to recomennd?
The only mods for this game are the Immersion Modifier and Heroes of the West. If you're not interested in any of those like me, then you're pretty much out of luck.
But it also depends on what mods you want. If you want texture or sound mods you can easily make them yourself in less then ten minutes.
I also got a ton of WIP mods over on the TW forums. If anyone wants I can share what I have.
That is really the best place for finding mods. Aside from the Steam Workshop which is pretty much only maps.
I saw some of your topics about the tanks and such, I was thinking more in the way of gamemodes, weapons etc
Well for weapons I'm pretty much finished with the Japanese Flamethrower, I'm also planning melee weapons for the US.
For gamemodes, it's either Immersion Modifier and Heroes of the West. Like I said, there's barely any large-scale mods like that for this game, partly because of Unreal Engine's shitty modding system.

What kind of melee weapons? You have my interested. Like a spade?

im hoping for a baseball bat and an american flag
I was thinking something more realistic: the machete and entrenching tool that the Marauders have.

Tell me if you get the machete working.

I hate when this happens :/

Is that a level fifty Katana? Also, if you ask me, although yes it does look awesome; The Colt 1911 shouldn't be like that. It having an American flag on it I can imagine the ivory or some of the other reflective colors helps give it away.
Yes, it's the heirloom katana.
And no, the pearl grip isn't really something that would catch someone's attention, it's not shiny or anything like that, and your hand mostly covers the grip up anyways.
If anything gave you away it would be the stance you're in when you're holding the gun. People are familiar with the figure and can discern you from the map.

I still think it silly and prefer the parkerized/black one with wood grip. Shame I can't get that extra magazine though.
Is there any way to deal with the stupid speed hack detected crap, the game has become unplayable recently due to this
Is there any way to deal with the stupid speed hack detected crap, the game has become unplayable recently due to this
Yes, by playing on servers with a low ping.
That seems like an asshole reply, but it's the truth.
Only time I've experienced the speedhack warning was when I glitched out due to high ping.
Yes, by playing on servers with a low ping.
I'm playing on the lowest ping servers available (literally the few UK servers RO2 has) and I'm still getting issues. It's not like I have slow internet either, I get 60mb broadband

I also play in the UK 40-1 servers, and i have had no problems whatsoever.
I really wish this game had more regular players, and not just "ohh free weekend/75% off everyone play for a night or so"
it's honestly is the most satisfying WWII fps I've ever played

Here there are usually 3-5 servers that are full and good to play on, depending on the time of the day.
