Honestly i love how there are people that play their faction right. I remember playing on a campaign with axis and there was this called Führer and everytime we were on the campaign map people asked for his orders and everyone did what he asked. The community in this game is crazy sometimes, but that is just the way i love it.
Should I try being Douglas MacArthur then in Rising Storm? :P If I can get ART_Hanto and ART_Saipan to stop downloading. Maybe I need to re-install RS...

They'd come in with their clan tags, auto choose russians or germans and then get into stupid argument over chat. It was bizarre. [editline]24th April 2015[/editline] and yes they would roleplay
If I can get ART_Hanto and ART_Saipan to stop downloading.

If so, then remove the Hanto folder from Published.
Any files in that folder override the original files, and the game tries to get the originals back.
Nevermind. Those things in the webm were dogs right?
Coldsteel is an evil map for attackers, ypu lose 3/4 of your tickets on the first two objectives alone.
[vid]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/37308476/WebM/IJA.webm[/vid]
Can I please post that to YouTube?
Oh man I got 44 kills with the dp-28 on grain elevator as an attacker. I had the Germans pinned down on their flank as soon as they exited the main industrial building and they had no clue what was happening. When my team noticed the score board that started going "oh my god cotton you're tearing them up, we're going to win because of you!" We still lost and the 2nd best player on my team got 10 kills lol oh well. One of my best moments as an MG. Is it weird that playing Insurgency I'll only use the nagant with iron sights now??? I destroy with it because RO2 has made me play as a rifleman so effectively. CAN'T STOP WON'T STOP MOIST NUGGET
Just was playing a game on Rakowice. Dramaticly holding B point as axis while a tank just rolls up the side door. Naturally, while being an engineer I satcheld that bloody tank faster than it could turn its gun at the door. Boom, tank destroyed and I get friendly fire kicked. What ze frak. :v:

A single AT grenade on the engine cover will kill a T-34 much faster, and you can throw it from much further.
I usually throw away my AT grenades as soon as I spawn, because if there's no tanks around they're useless and just slow you down.
Killing someone with them is just too much of a novelty for me to pass up on.
I find AT grenades the most effective in honest.
AT nades are more effective against tanks but blowing a tank up with a satchel is way more satisfying
But what's the point? It takes much longer, leaving you vulnerable during that time, and if you miss and not know it you're in a very bad spot. And AT grenades are utterly useless against infantry unless you land it directly on top of their head, and by then they've most likely killed you already.
What about a satchel is faster? You need to be closer to the tank and there's a 10 second fuse. Priming one also takes longer.
That's what I said. Satchels take a while to toss and and even longer to blow up. If you miss slightly and the tank moves away, you won't know it until the explosion occurs away from the tank, making you run back and try again.
I did say nades are more effective but when you manage to blow up a tank with satchels it is way more satisfying
Satchels do make a manlier sound when they explode, but often times it's not worth the risk.
It also feels much more action movie-y to sneak up on a tonk with a satchel as well.
After a little hiatus, the Desert Rats are alive and kicking! Welcome to Africa gents! [t]http://puu.sh/hGNwi/ff25a6c4c7.png[/t][t]http://puu.sh/hGNAg/6e4b0771c1.png[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/hGNEn/ffeaad87cb.png[/t] It's very early alpha, map, models, and textures are all placeholders, but I should have a download up in a day or two. On the Topic of AT nades, I find that they kick up alot of smoke, so sometimes I like to throw them into a doorway or passage before blindfiring in the room with a PPSH. Sometimes I manage to get a kill like that or get the guy on the other side offguard
Does RO2 actually have character speed/weight changes? I've never noticed...
Yep. Easiest way to see it is if you spawn as AT infantry or MG, sprint with the MG a bit, then drop the MG and sprint with the pistol
On the topic of things we never noticed,
On the topic of things we never noticed,
I actually had noticed that. It explains why they don't remove the magazine to check the ammo count/weight, the thing on top shows how many shots are left.
I honestly thought it was because you could see how many bullets were left through the holes in the top. UE is still an absolute ass to mod, but I added the team select icons made by a contributor. [t]http://i.imgur.com/ifa9SLq.png[/t]
Question about UE modding; is cosmetic stuff like new models, textures, and sounds also a pain in the ass?
Incredibly. You see the thing is, replacing models/textures/sounds is very easy, but it only works offline on your computer. To make it work on servers you need to do a ton of coding. And if you want to make it work on ranked servers you need to ask the company for permission.
