Thanks for the info. I may or may not be able to do the idea I've had for a while, so don't be expecting anything from me. But if it does happen I'll be right back here to tell you all the details. Good luck on your project!
Even if it doesn't happen tell us anyway. Who knows, maybe someone can help.

Wouldn't the tank classes just inherently have the ability to level up because they're classes?
They do, but the problem is that it's not saved. They all get reset to 0 after the map changes.
Just as i'm finally doing well, the game freezes :/
Godamn it's satisfying as fuck stabbing a banzai'ing Japanese.
On that note, I HATE the melee in this game! No matter how hard I try I just can't get over the fact that a smack to the chest kills instantly! I wouldn't mind it that much if all melee did equal damage. But no, you can get your entire chest slashed open, AND a bullet to the throat, then just calmly waltz over to your attacker and kill them instantly with a simple smack. This is all Realism mode. Realism my ass.
Godamn it's satisfying as fuck stabbing a banzai'ing Japanese.
Felt so damn good when i meleed to death a banzaing jap with my binoculars.
I'm working on a game about the theoretical invasion of Japan, which didn't happen because of what did on August sixth and ninth by the way. Not sure how long it'll take, models are the main issue. I've said that though I think.
I was playing a game on Hanto, we were playing the Campaign as the Japanese. Our team me I'm shit was not doing well at all, so at the last cap zone all squad leaders were instructed to shoot players outside of the capzone. On our own side as a kind of example. We lost that round.
Anyone know where I can get some sounds for the weapons in my game? Sorry if I'm getting off topic or anything. BTW, I'm thinking I'll add the Japanese M1 Garand copy to the game. I already have that really funny cartoon bomb looking grenade the Japanese made since they didn't have metal for grenades anymore.
Who needs Gmod when you have RO2 SDK? [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/541901912705995220/FAD3734BC57E340587D8C545DD379E0996D9AA7A/[/t]
Custom loading screens are officially a thing. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/541901912706304549/A2252DDD457030F1932567B7B9650D4209217770/[/t] [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/541901912706470195/10E13DE4255F47A66F3BE59397C324998EED0849/[/t]
So I recently had the opportunity to fire a Mosin Nagant, and I've got to say that is a fuckin hard gun to use. It's heavy, the sights are blurry no matter where you focus, and the recoil is so strong that firing it twice while prone had left a visible bruise near my collar bone. It is definitely a standing or bench-shooting weapon. When it fires, it is by far the loudest thing I think I've ever heard in my life, even with earpro. It throws a wave of heat in your face, and enough recoil into your shoulder to make the right half of your torso sore the following day. It has enough volume and oompf to demand the attention of anyone nearby, and it almost always startled me whenever someone else had fired it. Even from behind, the volume is intimidating. I don't want to know what it sounds like on the other end. I wish video games did a better job at showing just how insanely powerful these guns really sound. While shooting in the mountains, the reverberance alone lasts a good 5 seconds of it echoing back and forth between the trees and hills. I can't figure out the sights. They're so low that I had to push my head downwards so my eyes would align, which made it difficult to look down my glasses. Any lower and the recoil of the stock would knock my earmuff off. When you think they're lined up and you fire, and actually manage to not flinch, which is far harder than it sounds, you'd be surprised how the round would somehow manage to drift away and you'll miss your target completely. My guess is I didn't have the sights perfectly aligned, but they're so damn blurry that its really hard to tell. I had tried at ranges between 100-300 yards with minimal success, obviously getting worse the further out I went. Even just trying to picture one of these guns firing is hard to imagine, and I can't even begin to think how loud it is having 10 other people standing near you who are also shooting at the same time. WWII must have been one hell of a loud place to be in. So after a day of shooting guns like that, I went home sunburned, sore, tired, but most importantly: happy and satisfied. I'm considering applying for a firearms license and getting my own, because even though that gun kicked my ass, I can't help but feel drawn towards it for another go.
You know, shame I couldn't get over that candy colored terrain issue when I tried to make a map for Heroes of the West. I did have an idea for a map for RS; one of the Alaskan battles.
Would you guys say this game is worth buying right now?
Of course! Like I said it's got a bit of a learning curve but it's fun. (mostly)
I don't remember if I said in this thread or not if I had said I was making a game about the invasion of Japan. BUT! I have results; It's all WiP, models are still hard to find so I just used very generic placeholders. What do you all think?
So I had played some RO2 earlier and this happened to me.. I shouldn't even be alive and that Russian corpse holy shit that caught me by surprise I've no idea why there's a mouse cursor. I kinda recorded that with shadowplay [editline]14th June 2015[/editline] Was playing Iwo Jima as the Japanese and some guy on the American side started playing American death moans over the public channel. My whole team was just quiet listening to it, even my commander stopped giving orders. Too intense man
Bought the game for 9.99, anyone got a good beginner's guide?
trailer was just shown on the PCGamer stream, hopefully it's up on youtube soon
I'm gonna like, insta buy this. I have loads of hours into RO2 and RS already.

Any idead how much it's going to cost?
i don't care that's a day 1 preorder for me i fuckin love nam games, i will be playing the absolute shit out of that.
With how rocky RO2 was at launch/beta, I could give a shit about worrying if preordering will be worth the money. Tell me when papa trip!
Not to mention, if the launch sucks there is Steam Refunds...
Any idead how much it's going to cost?
It could cost $100 and I'd still probably get it Fuck it look's like the sequel to battlefield vietnam that I've always wanted
obligatory since we will all try to do it at one point or another
