You shoot people and don't miss. Are you good at shooting the rifle with only iron-sights? If you can shoot people with iron-sights without missing then you know your rifle well enough to hit things with the scope. When you take aim, really fucking concentrate on your target and do what you need to do to put a hole through them. If I can't afford to miss a target such as a machinegunner, I focus even more on killing them with only one bullet. Just remember if you miss you give your position away, so just concentrate and kill. also expose less of your body, and don't stick your gun out of windows and shit
Be all sneaky n shit. Flank the fuck out of the opposing team wherever possible, don't stay in one place too long. [editline]3rd September 2015[/editline] If you manage to nab a sniper rifle from the opposing team, use that instead, helps prevent your being located via sound.
How are you supposed to git gud at sniping? Practicing against AI is fine and all for learning how to actually hit targets, but they don't act even remotely human so that's about all you can use them for. But if you go on a server, select sniper and you're not the reincarnation of Vasily Zaytsev the first time you take sniper, you're bad and should go back to rifleman.
the further they are, the higher you aim
Are you good at shooting the rifle with only iron-sights? I have a question: why is it that in every single server that I've tried to play in automatically adds like 30 extra ping to my normal ping? (ie. the server ping in the server browser is 70 it turns to 100 when I get ingame)
I think mine does that depending on the player count. If it's a packed server my ping will jump higher compared to that of a 32 player server.
Well. I can safely say that I enjoy RO2 far more than Verdun.
A friend and I tried Verdun since we both enjoyed cleansing the battlefield of allied dogs on RS but we couldn't stand it. Now, I don't mind 2006 era textures and awkward animations if both the gameplay is solid but the mechanics simply don't work. Hitboxes and aiming mechanics are off, I find it moronic how you only get a few seconds to pull back to your own line (which can sometimes be too far away) before you get autokilled for leaving boundaries and the matchmaking is really inconvenient, making it hard to play with friends. On a slightly lesser note it's also way too easy for squad leaders to camp in a tight spot and spawn half the team in the enemy's trench but that isn't as big of an issue as the others. It's a shame because it captures the atmosphere of the First World War pretty well and I get it's in alpha but it needs some serious polishing before I start playing again.
I get it's in alpha but it needs some serious polishing before I start playing again.
Verdun's been out of Early Access for a few months. :v:
Well again I am working on my WWII game which might not have the best models and textures as I'm doing it all myself. Speaking of which soon I may have a M4 Sherman model soon. Sergeant Joe did you want it? I think I may also make a Type 11 LMG model in-game if you think you may be interested in that. I almost have the M2 Carbine model done as well.
Remind me again what theater your game will encompass?
It's about the planned invasion of Japan which didn't happen due to the A-Bombs. It's named after the same operation. I almost have the M2 Carbine done.
I tried out tanking for the first time with some friends to act as a crew. How the hell did a game primarily focused on infantry combat manage to nail tank combat better than 'actual tank simulators' like War Thunder?
RO2 is just unique because of interiors, the actual tanking is pretty crap. Like for example, I've had times that a tank shell hit my front, magically phased through the entire tank leaving everything in front unharmed, but destroying my engine way in the back. Wat.
It was better in ro1, being on an actual long range tanking map in that was amazing. The interiors mostly just glitch things up.
Well my only real experience is RO2, and the interiors do a lot to immerse myself into the game. So far in, I've had a blast playing tanking with no real weird glitches or oddities.
The tanks in RO2 are a far stretch from how good they were in RO1. I'm not sure exactly why though.
Man... Anyone else port over to RO2 from Resistance and Liberation? Seems like no one talks about that mod anymore, but it was really good. [dare I say better?]
Man... Anyone else port over to RO2 from Resistance and Liberation? Seems like no one talks about that mod anymore, but it was really good. [dare I say better?]
I never got to really play it, because I could never find any servers, and there were very few maps where the bots could do anything. All I could do is drive around in all the silly little British and Italian light tanks and wish something would shoot back at me. Nvm: I'm being retarded and thinking of an entirely different game.
So I'm still working on stuff for my game. I added textures to the Lunge mine today for one; [t]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CO0J1C7WwAEQYBJ.png:large[/t]
I made an Ōkami music mod just for fun. Thoughts, Y/N?
'steam is required to play the game' what the fuck
You can't just click the exe to run it, you need to launch it through Steam. Kinda obnoxious, but no other way.
You can't just click the exe to run it, you need to launch it through Steam. Kinda obnoxious, but no other way.
Yeah thats what I was doing. Anyway apparently the fix was to run steam in admin mode

It would draw a lot more attention As a programmer you can get a prototype done by yourself, that'd be tbe best time to draw some attention

Completely remade one of my very first mods.
Yessss
Neat. Did you make the model yourself? For the wand?
The entire model is just an edit of the M2.
I had a feeling. Wouldn't have hurt to ask though I had figured.
