I remember when we were playing as the Germans on Rakowice and we were attacking but couldn't get past B. We ran out of tickets and fell back to a bunker where we held out for a good 5-10minutes as the Russians including their T34 kept trying to get in from both sides. Eventually it was just me left with an MG42. I heard them coming from behind and killed one as i ran into the room next to me and hid behind the opposite door while spraying with my MG killing two russians with PPHSs who came in behind me. Immedietly after that a grenade killed me and the round ended. People were cheering me and laughing afterwards. That was a pretty epic moment.

It is strange how it is 2016 now and there hasn't really been anything major announced about RS2. Hopefully it'll be out before 2017.

I was reading the Killing Floor 2 thread and someone from the dev team said (either on twitter or the TWI forums, can't remember) that we can expect RS2 stuff this week (as well as KF2 things, but that's not related to this thread I suppose).

I do hope they give us more screenshots, especially of the NVA. Because in the trailer they literally looked like reskinned Japanese.

Bet you $10 they are. Knowing Tripwire's quality of service they probably haven't even started work on RS2 and have just diddled with some models before some moneygrubbing bigwig at Tripwire came down and said "Let's hype this shit up so they give us more money"

Speaking about Vietnamese Cities in games, Black Ops I had a mission taking place in Hue during the Tet Offensive. But yeah the South Vietnamese Army doesn't appear in a lot of games, last game I remember the ARVN being in was Battlefield: Vietnam.

Can't say I have high hopes for RS2 but who knows, maybe tripwire will finally get their heads out of their asses.
Sorry for being uninformed. But isn't it called Red Orchestra 2: Vietnam? Or was Rising Storm made by an entirely new developer so they saw it fit to call it Rising Storm 2?
I also want urban Vietnam, like most of the combat scenes in Full Metal Jacket.
I think 1 Urban map in Hue would be great, worked well for Rising Storm.

It's the exact same style of shit we got when RO2 first came out and what currently inhabits the loading screen. A bunch of pictures which aren't close to what we'll get.
I'm glad we know that it's mainly Antimatter working on this. Was a bit worried Tripwire was juggling this and KF2, which would've made both worse.
Whats with the 30 round mags in the M16s?
30-rounders were actually developed fairly early on, but they had problems with feeding since the design was still fairly new. As I recall by the end of the war they were relatively common, but earlier on they were mostly distributed to important units, but they did get around over time. In gameplay terms it might be to balance things out, considering the AK has a 30-rounder as standard. Hopefully it'll be like weapon levels in RO2 and Rising Storm, and you'll start off with a 20-round mag and eventually unlock 30-rounders by going up weapon levels. I also wonder if the M14 will be an option, considering the M16 wasn't officially standardised until '69.

Calling it now: they'll only be seen as off-map reinforcements like RO2's recon planes.
I HIGHLY doubt we'll get to actually pilot them. The maps will have to be huge for that, which will kinda mess with the series' gameplay style.
They might be stuck on a fixed navigation path with a player gunner like Call of Duty kill streak air support.
