I dunno man, on other games I've seen <18 year old kids that made okay admins

I was an admin for a few CoD:UO servers when I was 14 ._.
I think I did okay. I only banned blatant hackers (headshotting with PPSh's across the map) and trolls.
I wonder if RS2 will be compatible with Linux or OSX.

Not likely I'd wager

You might want to try next month.
I usually check here: http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/forumdisplay.php?f=219
Or on Steam if you follow the group.
To start off this week I want to highlight an upcoming event: The PC Gamer Weekender being hosted in London (http://weekender.pcgamer.com/). For those of you based in the UK, show up and talk to us - we will be there! For those who aren’t going to make it to London, fear not - everything will be streamed by PC Gamer. Watch this space (and theirs) for all the details!
With that out of the way I want to start talking about asymmetric gameplay and how we are bringing that forward into Rising Storm 2. The South Vietnamese forces, backed and equipped by the US and allied militaries brought the latest and greatest military hardware to the field. North Vietnam, backed by China and Russia was working with a mix of WWII hardware as well as some variants of the more modern Russian weapon platforms.
This will play out both in the more obvious differences in the weapons the factions will have available, as well as the mechanics of the factions. We’re currently prototyping gameplay that highlights how much more nimble around the battlefield the North Vietnamese forces might be, as well as better abilities to move (and spawn) undetected and unexpected.
Beyond that we are also working on the commander abilities for each side that will reflect the strengths of the factions - particularly in supporting arms. Fans may get a first look at some of these in the near future (http://weekender.pcgamer.com/ - hint hint)!
But I do want to show off one example of weapon asymmetry today and that comes in the M79 - known to many of the troops as the “thumper” or “bloop-tube” due to its distinct sound. As always, just remember that what you are about to see are Works In Progress and may contain placeholders and may not always be fully representative of the final product. With that in mind, I present to you the M79:

A mysterious new screenshot from In Country: Vietnam was posted on twitter by a a guy named "bosch". The In Country twitter account was deleted two hours later so I have no idea what is going on with them. You can clearly see the Pop Smoke Games logo on the side of the M16

The americans have the same VA from Rising Storm 1.
Still, pretty cool trailer
....I see a lack of NVA regulars
looks pretty good though, i haven't been this amped for a nam game since bc2
Is that some sort of braced hipfire I see at 0:53?
i want it now
Seems they're still working on the voices, considering those are all just handpicked lines from RS1.
Hope they make them sound good.

There's some other interesting tidbits from a guy who works for Anti-Matter Games in that thread.
Man, I hate how so many Vietnam games aren't asymmetrical. Hopefully this Vietnam game is.
Kinda wish they went to Korea but whatever.
insurgency is asymmetrical and squad is asymmetrical sometimes and they work perfectly i think
with red orchestra's formula they'd stay pretty balanced i think. rising storm was pretty balanced aside from the flamethrowers which really were a little too OP imo. i know you have to use your brain to get around them but most players just don't
Vietnam games kinda require alot of vehicles. Vietnam without overwhelming air superiority is just not appealing to me.

I bet the commander can call in a lot of napalm and helicopters based off the trailers.

As much as I'd like to see Korea, wasn't that war fought with human wave tactics by the Chinese and massive armor engagements? I don't see how that'd fit well into a Red Orchestra game.
gimmiegimmiegimmiegimmie!

Yeah why have fair balance at all.

It better have Reb Brown for my authentic Vietnam experience
So i see they put in the M3 submachine gun which is pretty cool. I hope it makes it to RS1 as well in a future update.

tunnels
tunnels
toss a grenade or use the flamethrower on an open tunnel hatch
they'll come running out
