toss a grenade or use the flamethrower on an open tunnel hatch they'll come running out
You have no idea of the extent of the VC tunnel network. A grenade could do some damage, but in the grand scheme of things it'd be meaningless

If they use historically accurate tunnels it'll be a pain to move through them as americans. Source: went to Cu Chi tunnels, widened for capitalist pigs
I bet the commander can call in a lot of napalm and helicopters based off the trailers. As much as I'd like to see Korea, wasn't that war fought with human wave tactics by the Chinese and massive armor engagements? I don't see how that'd fit well into a Red Orchestra game.
Red Orchestra is all about throwing waves of players at each other, so really it would fit perfectly.

"Hey want to use Springfields, K98s, Mosins, Enfields, Krags, Carcanos and just about everything in between?"

"Hey want to use Springfields, K98s, Mosins, Enfields, Krags, Carcanos and just about everything in between?"
Was there actually any major difference between any of the bolt-action rifles used by the major nations at that time besides manufacturer and the cartridges they used? Because most games I played usually show all bolt-action rifles being similar to each other.
Red Orchestra is all about throwing waves of players at each other, so really it would fit perfectly.
There's a difference between sending waves of reinforcements and massive infantry charge across open ground.
Red Orchestra is all about throwing waves of players at each other, so really it would fit perfectly.
That is not what he meant. A human wave is a tactic when you literally have hundreds if not thousands of soldiers rushing an enemy position at once like this:

Not to mention that there's just the option to have the variety of different players with the amount of militia. [editline]6th March 2016[/editline] You could have Basques, Catalans, Fascists, Republicans and even Condor League/American Legion, etc.
There's a difference between sending waves of reinforcements and massive infantry charge across open ground.
I've read that Human Wave attacks in Korea were often exaggerated by the media and by Chinese propaganda.
The term "human wave attack" was often misused to describe the Chinese short attack — a combination of infiltration and the shock tactics employed by the PLA during the Korean War. According to some accounts, Marshal Peng Dehuai—the overall commander of the Chinese forces in Korea—is said to have invented this tactic. A typical Chinese short attack was carried out at night by small fireteams on a narrow front against the weakest point in enemy defenses. The Chinese assault team would crawl undetected within grenade range, then launch surprise attacks against the defenders in order to breach the defenses by relying on maximum shock and confusion. If the initial shock failed to breach the defenses, additional fireteams would press on behind them and attack the same point until a breach was created. Once penetration was achieved, the bulk of the Chinese forces would move into the enemy rear and attack from behind. During the attacks, the Chinese assault teams would disperse while masking themselves using the terrain, and this made it difficult for UN defenders to target numerous Chinese troops. Attacks by the successive Chinese fireteams were also carefully timed to minimize casualties. Due to primitive communication systems and tight political controls within the Chinese army, short attacks were often repeated indefinitely until either the defenses were penetrated or the attacker's ammunition supply were exhausted, regardless of the chances of success or the human cost. This persistent attack pattern left a strong impression on UN forces that fought in Korea, giving birth to the description of "human wave." U.S. Army historian Roy Edgar Appleman observed that the term "human wave" was later used by journalists and military officials to convey the image that the American soldiers were assaulted by overwhelming numbers of Chinese on a broad front, which is inaccurate when compared with the normal Chinese practice of sending successive series of five men teams against a narrow portion of the line. S.L.A. Marshall also commented that the word "mass" was indiscriminately used by the media to describe Chinese infantry tactics, and it is rare for the Chinese to actually use densely concentrated infantry formations to absorb enemy firepower. In response to the media's stereotype of Chinese assault troops deployed in vast "human seas", a joke circulated among the US servicemen was "How many hordes are there in a Chinese platoon?"
[URL="https://books.google.com/books?id=l_6pCQAAQBAJ&pg=PA160&lpg=PA160&dq=U.S.+Army+historian+Roy+Edgar+Appleman+observed+that+the+term+%22human+wave%22+was+later+used+by+journalists+and+military+officials+to+convey+the+image+th&source=bl&ots=qkh8ZCHR0-&sig=Ez7mtGccdRVAj1Cf_XSnUMuOkWE&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi6hOvPza3LAhVImIMKHZQmDG8Q6AEIJDAB#v=onepage&q=U.S.%20Army%20historian%20Roy%20Edgar%20Appleman%20observed%20that%20the%20term%20%22human%20wave%22%20was%20later%20used%20by%20journalists%20and%20military%20officials%20to%20convey%20the%20image%20th&f=false"]Source

So have a mediocre release that's a whole week late and with crappy hastily-taken screenshots.

Now many of you have been picking apart what was seen in the trailer and I want to go ahead and confirm those items. Weapons that haven’t been seen before include: Grease Gun M60 SKS MAT 49 M14 XM21 We’ve confirmed the RPG 7 as well. You can check out some more of these items on the updated Steam store page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/418460/ Also shown off was a new feature - stock folding on Grease Gun (as well as the MAT 49) which allows players to choose to fold in their stock for tighter fights and aim down the gun instead of the sights. ...
M14 and XM21 I like how they're sticking with the real thing
i need a calico GOOKKILLER 9000 dlc

Are there any decent forms of AA that isn't any of the options ingame? MSAA and FXAA seem to make the game look really blurry and forcing AA makes the menus glitch out
Are there any decent forms of AA that isn't any of the options ingame? UE3 never really had good AA solutions
I recently played a few hours over the weekend and oh my god I forgot how awesome the BAR is. Managed to get top of the scoreboard (Overall, not just team) AND I got top kill points. I was amazed because usually top spots go to commanders or SL1 (due to all the respawn points). Fuck me that BAR is amazing to use. Has awesome range as well, love popping people at long range.

I made the lunge mine model that was used.

Can I uninstall the workshop version now and not fuck up the mod if I have it installed via official?
Can I uninstall the workshop version now and not fuck up the mod if I have it installed via official?
I unsubbed everything on the workshop and it told me I had some conflicting files on launch (as I didn't relaunch the game to refresh my workshop stuff). Just click the option to remove the old files and continue.
First 10 minutes in HOTW was intense. Blew a half track with a satchel SQL's have a riveting conversation: "They will not choose where we lose" "Shut the fuck up" x10 Game immediately crashes the minute it changes to Omaha
A german approaches me and yells "Ivan!" and then he shot me, and with my dying breath I said "Tojo".
Lee Enfield is the best rifle in the game
Lee Enfield is the best rifle in the game
This. So much. Garand is maybe a bit better, only because of semi-automatic fire.
