If anyone has a spare key I'd love a PM, always have been a huge fan of these games
levelling honour takes stupid long. I'm at 35,000 out of 5,000 for rifleman in RS but 62/80 on honour in RS :v:
Anyone else keep getting the "Authentication Timeout 1/2" thing with RS2?
Dear tripwire please allow me to rebind flight controls
Anyone else keep getting the "Authentication Timeout 1/2" thing with RS2?
yes, it's a very well known bug, althought I'm not sure what causes it
yes, it's a very well known bug, althought I'm not sure what causes it
I've tried all the fixes and it still keeps happening. Really sucks since I want to play
They will be deploying a hotfix shortly apparently
Damn, missed the keys. Oh well, by the way, to you people that have got them, i'd like to ask how good was the optimization in the game.

Others have reported the opposite though. I get constant 60fps on ultra with the occasional dip to 40 when there's a lot of particle effects on screen. Last wave I couldn't hit 60 regardless of my settings. Hue City runs worse for me and a lot of others this wave and generally turns the only populated Aussie server into a ghost town before it even gets to round 2. There seems to be these huge server wide performance spikes where everyone's framerate tanks for a minute or so. That aside, i'm loving the game thus far and am really looking forward to seeing how it improves from here.

I remeber Red Orchestra 2 launch had some problems with that( among some others). Well good luck to me if i ever get the key, and have fun to you guys that got it.
Am I the only one who actually had Hue City running better this wave?

Been a big RO fan when the retail version came out in 2006 (my first game on steam). Anyone have a RS:2 key they could share with me? Thanks in advance.
I tried making a funny video
The 'authentication timeout' has been fixed, but now I'm plagued with horrendous rubberbanding and "Invalid Packet". I've managed to get about 3 hours in this game since getting into the 2nd-3rd Alpha wave
It ran perfectly fine for me but was a shitshow for my friend I was playing with and he has a similarly powerful computer. Also I killed a loach with an RPG at 300m, then shadowplay did its red cross thing when I tried to save the recording :(
One of my favorite things right now is how people try to get in character as the vietcong or US army, even if it's something like putting on stereotypical accents while shitting up voice comms :v:

I missed the key flood ;_; where my gook brothers at?

FOR THE FATHERLAND.

Its funny once or twice, but when literally all you hear is some dumb highschool kid yelling GO HOME GI repeatedly it quickly slips from kinda funny to incredibly annoying.

Imagine getting charged by that dumb kid shouting into his mic.. and then perforating the fool.

Can't be that hard to implement if so many games have it.
I think everyone's been wanting that since RO2, i honestly don't know why they haven't done it yet.
It is a heavy CPU load on a game that is already under heavy CPU load. That is why we haven't done it so far.
Really ? There are bigger games with 3d voip and a source mod too so there's nothing pointing to it being either intensive nor complex. If you have a more in-depth explanation i'd like to hear it, because it sounds too simple to be that cpu-intensive. I looked through the tripwire forums and all i could find was a gameplay-related excuse and not a single thing about performance. Edit: I'm guessing this is the post. I'll take his word for it, but i still don't really buy it. Before the RS2 announcement it seems like the tripwire response was just straight-up "no" because people "wouldn't use it" or whatever. Maybe they never gave it a serious try until now, or the excuse is not entirely truthful.
