Anyone know if tripwire are doing anymore big updates for this? Seriously need Molotovs for the russians
Can somebody explain to me how the hell does overtime work??? I was playing on Saipan and we were defending the last two objectives. The japanese were attacking E while we were holding F. Suddenly, overtime. What the fuck? I've had several games where we were attacking the very last enemy objective, we were halfway trough and didn't get any overtime. I seriously dont understand how it gets triggered.

Not just that, but M3 for the Americans, and i can't believe they haven't added a Luger to the Germans already. I mean i suppose the M3 was more frequent on the western front, but the Luger and molotovs should have been included from the very beginning. Flamethrowers and G43s for the Germans would also be good... I'd also say FG42 but that hasn't seen any combat in Stalingrad.

They're probably busy as fuck with KF2

You're not supposed to be able to reload mid-clip, but the bug he's talking about is the one where you empty a clip fully and you need to drop it and pick it up again to be able to reload. It's really, really annoying, it's caused my death a number of times :v:
IIRC the problem goes away when you get the first unlock which is a magazine I think?

I wish they tweaked and brought back classic mode. Everybody being able to zoom with their weapons is fucking frustrating. I really loved classic when it was released. Went 55-0 with a Sniper because people couldn't out-snipe me with their magic eyeballs.
I'm usually on realism servers with focus disabled
I always catch myself being inches away from the display trying to eyeball helmets

Agreed, played on 40-1's classic server all the time when it was still alive, felt like RO1 again :v:
I think the zoom would work better if it zoomed only after you stood still and looked down the sights for a little bit. RO2's zoom is supposed to emulate how people focus on something in real life, so my method would work better for actually emulating that. As it works now, it's just the zoom command from Quake 2 and 3.
The reason why I went back to Darkest Hour was because all the RO2 classic servers disappeared. That game mode was so much better than the rest combined.
Oh, and huge tank battles. RO2 never really had that.
I think tank battles are over-rated. Go ahead and rate me dumb if you want, but there are games built around just driving tanks if you want one of those.

If you don't like it that's perfectly fine, but there's no need to act like such an ass about it.
If you just create a match with bots, turn off the HUD, and use the slomo command, you can take some pretty neat screenshots.

So, you guys remember the Heroes of the West mod? I might be doing some voice acting for it soon, if I'm up to their standards and all that.

This. Honestly, only tank maps are extremely boring, and tanks on combined arms maps are just imbalanced and lazily implemented.
For example: Bridges of druzhina
Either the guy who gets into tank commander stays back, steamrolls the enemy team from afar because they can't do anything due to the shitty AT weapons, and even if they do, the tank just respawns after a few seconds.
Or, by some miracle the tank completely sucks, keeps getting destroyed maybe because they have one veteran lvl 50 AT gunner, or maybe because the tank keeps going forward, rushing into the enemy, and then the team is unable to advance and they lose.

Glad to see a fellow FPer contribute to the mod! I also did my part (a tiny bit). I really hope to see the mod become feature complete soon
Tank only maps can be kind of neat if you got a good crew with mics. Nothing is more satisfying than frantically exchanging fire with a distance tank while trying to determine the gun range like a game of Battleship.
One time we got a really good gunner and we were just able to bolt across the snow and could fire while mobile. Nothing really is more satisfying than a tank kill.
I'll admit thought there is a very uneven ratio between the amount of fun and unfun tank only matches.

Please tell me which server that is. The server filter function is shit.
look for [40-1], TWB and 29th (?) Infantry Division Euro
Go commander on grain elevator, gets teamkilled by a fucking asshole for calling recon. Fuck people like that
Recently got a new SSD which has bumped up the storage space from 60gb to 225gb (The benefits of recently starting in IT) and I was wondering what would be the best way to transfer the game to the SSD from my HDD?
I only ask because of my levels and unlocks. I would happy just uninstall the game and reinstall it to the new location but I do not know if the stats would carry over through this method.

You have a sidearm, make an example of him when you respawn. Just do it often enough that he gets kicked for retaliation - he's already ahead by one kill.
I hate the people who actually commit TK with the reason of "no retreat" bullshit
I see two Japs sneaking around and was about to merge with our forces in the brush, I knew I had to do something or they'll really fuck shit up so I actually managed to sneak up on the both of them and stab them to death, that moment I took a bullet and started running away from the gunfire and started to bandage up just so a teammate comes up to me and stabs me to death with the reason of "don't turn your back to the enemy"
fuck off
it's only good if everyones onto it for realism and shit
if it's just a few players in the back pulling that shit, it's not fun
Why would you even do that as Americans anyway? Only makes sense for Russians and Germans.
