Helicopters are stupid hard to drive, they're so damn stiff.
Helicopters are stupid hard to drive, they're so damn stiff.
They're easier to control when they're flying in the air :v:
So what are the differences between the game modes? Because I cannot find any info at all
They're easier to control when they're flying in the air :v:
Oh you! Anyway, I'd love to get into the role of transporting troops around the field but I find it so difficult to control altitude and speed, most of the time I end up landing like a godamn plane either falling too short, over shooting or just lose speed so rapidly on descent and kill the crew on impact but the chopper is fine.
So what are the differences between the game modes? Because I cannot find any info at all
Territories Good old Red Orchestra. Capture the points in each sector to work your way to your opponent's home base Supremacy Supremacy somewhat works like Conquest from Battlefield. The only way to score is capturing adjacent objectives, in order to establish a chain link - cutting your enemy's chain by capturing their home base is a totally valid strat! Skirmish Close quarters, low playercount game mode. Capture the objective to refresh your team's spawn timer. You lose when your whole team dies after running out of spawn time, or when the opposing team holds all the objectives on the map for a certain amount of time
Did defenders have tickets in RO2 Territories? I don't remember that. We just lost a match because we actually lost so many people while defending. [editline]11th May 2017[/editline] Also the radioman class seems kind of pointless. I keep running with the commander but he was constantly near a radio anyway.
man this game is a lot of fun
I'm having some fun so far, but it doesn't really have that same, epic feel RO2 and RS1 had for me. Feels almost...slower? It's hard to describe.
Squad pinned behind a rock I got this. Throw smoke to cover them. It wasnt smoke it was a willy pete Autokicked for team damage :v:
The weapon handling in this is so nice
I think it's rather dumb the pointman can't collapse the stock on his grease gun and use it in tunnels. I figured that was the whole point of that ability.
Game defiantly feels like an improvement over RO2 and RS1. Kind of wish they would port them to the new engine.
Anyone else encountering a few little bugs here and there? Such as, If you put away your folding stock on a weapon it will fuck your ironsights and your ability to aim in general. The cover system still needs some fixes, a lot of times it will look like I have my rifle on top of a rock or something, I'll shoot, and it'll impact the rock about half a foot below me. And lastly if anyone uses a emplaced weapon they become some sort of hidious monstrosity of polys that are missing large chucks of their head, arms, and body. Aside from getting salty from shooting someone, hitting my cover instead, then getting brained I've really been loving the game so far.
I just had my first "awww fuck" moment. Laying in grass, bandaging by a brick wall. Marine walks to cover and doesn't see me behind him. I fire off 2 rounds, and of course I forgot to reload before bandaging so I'm sitting there shitting my pants, and the guy still had no idea where I was. I was literally 5 feet away. Proceed to reload my mag, blow his head off and then peek around the brick wall. GI's completely have no idea that I'm on their flank and I got about 6 kills before being blown up with artillery. This game is fuckin' dope. [editline]12th May 2017[/editline]
Did defenders have tickets in RO2 Territories? I don't remember that.
If you put away your folding stock on a weapon it will fuck your ironsights and your ability to aim in general.
I think that's intentional to prevent people from accurately using weapons with a folded stock at mid/long range [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/vrhbhr.webm[/vid] everything in this game is satisfying
You know who else has two smokes? The point man. Also he has claymores
Sweet. I haven't played until this beta so I'm still getting the hang of things. I got the weapon mechanics down pretty good so far, just gotta get used to the new controls a little bit
I fucking nuked two of my teammates with a flamethrower and cost us the game. Fucking shit. It's that city map, Point C. I'm approaching from the right side across the river. There's a Vietcong standing there firing over the wall, unaware of my presence. He's positioned roughly in the middle of the T, where the l part is the tunnel. So I flame him down before he could notice me, although he seemed tunnel visioned enough. So after torching him, I round the corner spewing flames down the tunnel hoping to burn out any VC's before they could react. Instead I torched two of my teammates who were standing in the tunnel, just feet from where Charlie was standing? God damnit! I thought if Charlie was standing there facing away, then there must be no American GI's nearby, but I was wrong! Turns out Charlie and the GI's were barely 10 feet from each other and in full view if any one of them had taken a moment to look around, yet amazingly neither noticed the other was there. My assumption that an enemy standing in front of Point C means Point C is clear of allies cost us the game.
I hate having to yell at people in Text chat for not being able to use their binoculars. They want want mortars, gunships, napalm, etc, but don't want to PULL OUT A LITERAL DESIGNATIOR for it. It's rediculous
Rising Storm 2 is awesome. Glad I preordered it. I hope they add the XM177 to the US team as an M16A1 variant or something like that. I'd love to use that since I play as squad leader all the time.
I'm surprised they don't have the BAR in RS2 considering that there were a lot of people who carried them over the early M16s.
I'm surprised they don't have the BAR in RS2 considering that there were a lot of people who carried them over the early M16s.
Pretty much every gun in RO2/RS1 would fit in RS2.
If/when they add the ARVN I could imagine they'd give them Thompsons, BARs, Garands, etc
ARVN and ANZAC forces are all but confirmed as post-release content. That being said I'll be very salty if they add the ANZACs before the ARVN. I'm cool with Aussies, but that's like adding the Americans before the French in a WW1 game.
There are things in RO2 that I like more but RS2 is still good, just different in a good way. I really enjoyed RO2 battles since there are obvious battle lines but RS2 has me running around like Battlefield.
With everyone else on my PROUD, STRONG, VIETNAMESE team killed, there was only one thing left to do. Spout propaganda towards the Evil GI while taking down as many as I can, I set up an RPD and start firing at a few Marines trying to enter the compound, as I'm doing that, some guy runs at me sanic speed and bashes me over the head.
How is the performance so far in the game? I know i asked this some weeks ago, but it's a major point i need to know.
How is the performance so far in the game? I know i asked this some weeks ago, but it's a major point i need to know.
8GB of RAM is barely enough, that's all I have to say.
How is the performance so far in the game? I know i asked this some weeks ago, but it's a major point i need to know.
Runs great on high, I think Ultra still needs optimizing. I have an rx 480 8gb and i7-7700
Runs great on high, I think Ultra still needs optimizing. I have an rx 480 8gb and i7-7700
I had 0 problems running on ultra with a gtx 970, 8gb, and a i5-4670k. Smooth as butter for me.
