I just hate it when I'm commanding and I say "Hey, Napalm strike at [coordinate]. DO NOT RUN TOWARDS THAT CAPTURE POINT, STAY AWAY." and repeat this, about 3 times... And about 10 seconds later... I have 1:50 TK penalty... Thanks, guys.
While the phantom pilot can be kind of an asshole and drop napalm half on your guys, half on the enemy, the perfect counter to this is making sure you set your mark as far back as you can incase the pilot swings in with a stupid angle.
Otherwise with how spread out and brutal support is in this game it's kind of a shitshow either way.

Well don't be feel too bad, I had a commander who wiped out the entire team defending the wall on one of the city maps with the barrage as VC.
The worst part about it was that we could've held the other team off there if he hadn't done that although he didn't get to see us lose because he got auto-kicked for too many TKs.
They really need to get rid of teamkill respawn penalties, it's fucking retarded.

And cut down on the impact of FF from artillery/air strikes. It's always an enormous pain in the ass when a good TL is kicked because dumbfucks ran into the artillery
Squad leaders should be able to assign combat pilots ala transport pilots and designate airstrikes/strafing runs with the binoculars.
When you get out of a firefight, and meet up with some squad-mate and go bounding cover to cover together, and clean tunnels and crawl through the jungle together, probably getting 20+ combined kills saving each-other multiple times over the course of like 10 minutes never using text or voice chat, just a mutual understanding of teamwork and it's like you two versus the world.
And then at an ammo dump he stands up and gets his brains blown out while glancing over at you, and you just stare at his collapsed body, frozen in shock, until it disappears.
I fucking love this game.
I got around to playing this for an hour or so yesterday on Supremacy. The guns feel amazing, at one point I went on a 12 kill streak with an M60, alone at the edge of a clearing. Enemies kept popping up around me, scary as hell.
I just wish I could read the HUD at all, it's such a mess, I have a hard time trying to think of another game's HUD that was as bad at conveying information as this one is.
The announcers' dialogue delivery is also incredibly dry, they feel like placeholders. And even on ultra settings the LOD transitions are incredibly jarring, not to mention that the only AA solution in a foliage heavy game is FXAA?
It's a fun game, but eh, it has some weird stuff in it. I also don't like how dying in a helicopter you get instantly booted to spectator with 0 feedback (other than the usual kill message).

I swear this happens all the time. Earlier I had a game where the Commander gave 5 warnings, starting about a minute before he dropped the shells. Five warnings over 40 - 60 seconds. And yes, he did get a teamkill. It's unavoidable, no matter how good the Commander is, he can't make up for other's inability to follow instructions. I could understand if it's new players not knowing to look at the map to check if they're danger close, but they could just press T and have a nice handy blast icon right where it's gonna land.
Am I an ass for thinking that certain classes (MG, RPG, Grenadier, sniper, etc) should be locked for players until a certain level?
I'm sick of new cunts taking those classes and then proceeding to essentially waste them
Lock'em up

They should add the Mk18 Honeywell.
Haven't tried the latest beta, but have they decreased the sprinting speed etc? I want it to be like the previous games.
Also, the soundtrack from Pulp Fiction is nice for this

Roles like Scout even though are hugely important since the smoke grenades can make or break a run on maps like Hamburger Hill.
Also how long will Digital Deluxe be on sale because I've been meaning to buy it, but won't be getting more cash for at least a month.
You can vote kick people out of roles. In my experience it usually works. People see the vote thingy and just hit f1 to get it to go away.
why is every territory server always hue city

people have some morbid love for it and I can't really understand why

It's like the Nuketown of RS2 at this point.
Anyone else suddenly find their exe missing when they try starting the game?

Before you say it I've already checked and it isn't my antivirus software.

oh fuck it is cause the wave is over
Yeah. the wave ended something like 10 minutes ago.
Are all the files gone? I was gonna backup the upks to rip with umodel and forgot to.

Lanes of attack and defense are exceptionally clear and so are enemy targets.
Also surveys are up remember!

I took 1-7, but barely used helicopters so skipped 8.

Don't think they are
To me the Huey is the only enjoyable helicopter to fly. It has to most freedom and doesn't constantly fight you.
So what's the verdict? I played RO1 for hundreds of hours but could never get into RO2. RS2 worth getting?

I mean it depends.
Do you like tough but fast paced combat? Can you handle 20+ year old fatbois screaming at you because you dropped a mortar on them even though you warned them twice? Can you deal with some racism in both Voice and Text chats? Can you fly the bathtub that is the huey?
Personally I love the game, it was probably one of the better uses of 23 bucks, but I think it may turn off some.

I don't care about any of that, i play dota2, lol. Are the maps tiny like ro2 again? Proper combined arms maps again?

It depends on the maps. A few are big maps but some are small.
Hamburger hill is definitely the bad map though. It's either a stomp or a slow slugfest against snails.
The Hill map is the only map I consistently had subpar games on. The rest are solid.
