and the japs
lmfao those people are hilarious, yeah there was an order that let officers do that but no one did it and it was taken back basically. Just idiots who watched enemy at the gates too many times.
enemy at the gates is the most inaccurate film when it comes to the eastern front
the russians didn't make use of blocking detachments at stalingrad as by then they had their shit together, plus munitions and supply were in fine order, no one man with a mosin, another with the bullets

Yeah it's just the WW2 equivalent of the Spartan circlejerk from 300, legit just search on the tripwire forums and you'll have a big number of threads of people actually asking for shooting your team mates as an officer to be a feature in the game its hilarious. I swear one guy wanted a feature too where you had a chance to spawn with no rifle and had to scavenge off of dead teamates lmfao.
Just as the saying goes "Those who don't know history are doomed to shitpost about it"
Go commander on grain elevator, gets teamkilled by a fucking asshole for calling recon. Fuck people like that
huh?
what's even the reasoning behind that
Tank battle is boring when you are alone, is real damn fun to grab two friends and drive a tank arround.
The only problem with tanks vs tank is there is only one map and it always ends in pixel sniping one t-34 at the edge of the map, combined arms is fun but since most people dont defend you as you blow up the points before they rush things are bound to get real annoying.

The rifleman is already a scavenger class really. Since they aren't specialized in anything they are the best class for dropping that mosin and picking up their dead commander's ppsh.

It's unrealistic but is is funny and satisfying to blow some cocksucker rifleman teammate's brains out with a Nagant revolver because he's being a dick or trying to pixel-snipe instead of moving up.

Is that 3 different servers or the name of the same one.
Its even better when (and this just happened) a player gets angry with your SL being right of the cap on defense and not in it and you get to watch him stab your SL in the back as the spawn timer hits 0:00.
Being a commander:
"Calling in recon, squad leaders mark arty"
Nobody says or does anything
"Mark targets"
I have to run out and mark it myself
"Stay away from b, artillery coming"
Of fucking course everyone decides to push objective B and half get blasted to bits along with the enemy.
immediately switch to flamethrower cause fuck responsibility
Time to get back into this. I remember Rising Storm offering something fresh to RO2 and hopefully there's some good custom maps.

3 different servers mang
Which server do FPers rock on?
no clue, but if you're ever on any of them, i go by the name lufty
smashing game of myshkova then
spent the whole match hugging the wall at b with my svt gunning down all axis that came running out of the trees
In the previous thread I kept shitting all over the singleplayer, but I played it again a bit today on Normal difficulty and for some reason I didn't encounter any of the bullshit or even bugs/glitches I found while playing on Hero. Odd.
Okay, nevermind, it's as garbage as ever. I completed the German campaign more or less okay, but the third Soviet mission is literally impossible on any difficulty. The whole mission is just trying to kill as many as possible while they all bumrush the point. And even then you can't, they cap it anyway because your idiot teammates avoid the capture zone like the plague.
Why would you even play singleplayer?
Just for fun. The defense missions may be godawful like I said, but the attacking ones are alright.
Plus the maps have the same layout but the objectives and teams are tweaked slightly. It's also a quick way to swap Axis and Allies on a map without sitting through a multiplayer campaign.
I really hate how your character will sometimes eat weapons.
Like you press the button, hear the pickup sound, see "You got X", but then you open your inventory and it's not in there.
game is definitely a buggy piece of shit
the majority of them should have been fixed before barashka, halftracks/unicarriers, mg42, pz.iii, etc.

I thought that happens when that particular gun has no ammunition, happens all the time when I pick up knee mortars.
I've died way too often trying to pick up a mkb or mp40 thanks to the game not actually picking that shit up

It's not that bad but it definitely needs a ton of improvement.
WHat's worse?
A team that doesn't want to be ordered
or
a team that constantly fuck ups orders?
I'd say a team that doesn't want to be ordered
At the very least, a team that constantly fucks up their orders is trying to function as a cohesive team, trying counts for a lot in my book
WHat's worse?

Depends how good the leader is, in my opinion.
If both teams have a good leader, the first team won't follow his instructions and make their own which could result in a a 50/50 outcome. The second team obviously will fuck up that order from the good leader and die.
If both teams have a bad leader, the first team again won't follow his instructions and make their own which results in a 50/50 outcome. The second team will fuck up that leader's decision which could save their life.
Either way, I think it's both equal. You'd have to know the leaders qualities first.
sniping infantry with anti-material rifle is satisfying holy shit

I feel guilty whenever I toss a PTRS-41 for an AT grenade run because it's so much fun to snipe with the PTRS-41.

Do you like that it tears their limbs come off?
