claymores have deceptively long range, I use them on that one hillside map when going to C/D by planting a pair towards the uphill trenches and then blowing them up, sometimes lands kills from like 30-50m away, it's ridiculous also, the vietcong scout's double-barreled shotgun is amazing, slugs are amazing, everything is amazing, 10/10
YES, that double-barreled shotgun is absolute joy~ Even the buckshot has a nice pattern at <100m it's beautiful.
RS2's recommendation of 6 GB RAM is misleading. With 8 GB, I can't play for more than half an hour at most before I run into memory usage warnings or a crash, because >95% of my RAM is being used at one time. As much as I enjoyed the beta, I don't think I'm going to buy the game until it's better optimized or when I upgrade my rig -- whichever comes first.

I personally started getting hitchng and audio loss as well
I'm under the impression claymores are like shotguns when it comes to video games.
Essentially, that's exactly what they are.
So is the game pretty much shut down now until release? I was under the impression if you preordered it you got early access until release.
Aren't real life claymores effective to around 20m to kill, while everything else is "fuck your face and skin"
claymores have a ideal range of 50m and a wounding range of about 100m the claymores represented in most video games are a joke compared to how deadly and destructive they are in IRL.
That was a developer. AMG staff get camouflage for NVA/VC, and Tiger Stripe for US. [t]http://puu.sh/vY39T/82757656b7.jpg[/t][t]http://puu.sh/vY31C/05bbd2a4ab.jpg[/t] The game checks your Steam account to see if you're on an approved list, so there's no way to get it without modding.
damn, that's too bad. i'd love to have tiger stripe camo as americans.
damn, that's too bad. i'd love to have tiger stripe camo as americans.
There's a tiger stripe undershirt that's available to anyone, but it's a really high level unlock. Also I'm planning to make a MACV SOG mod, I'll definitely use an edited version of the dev model for that.
The cosmetic progression really feels like an afterthought. Can't believe that 3 of the US unlocks in a row are different pants, and 2 of those barely even differ.
The cosmetic progression really feels like an afterthought.
The cosmetic progression really feels like an afterthought. Can't believe that 3 of the US unlocks in a row are different pants, and 2 of those barely even differ.
It's imo not that bad. The earlier betas where everything was unlocked caused too many people to run around looking ridiculous which caused way too much friendly fire.
Bring back Advanced Rifleman for US, give them M16A1 with 30 round magazine, and the CAR-15 with a 30 round magazine.
Stoner 63 too!
When you get knee mortared or artillery'ed eight lives in a row and it makes you realize war is awful #justredorchestrathings
Stoner 63 too!
Would be neat to have a mode where the US team is a bunch of SEALs and they have to clear objectives while the NLF go after them. Limited lives while the SEALs get their fun gadgets
Caved and bought RS2. Eagerly awaiting release.

Its down until launch now. I dunno about g2g but its 25% off right now on steam at $22.49 instead of $30.
My biggest beef that I have with the game is the colors of objectives/teams. Yes I understand the idea is Blue=Friend, Red=Bad, and that's been an industry standard for decades. But for the past, what, 3 incarnations of Red Orchestra (RS included) colors have been assigned to teams? Axis=Blue, Red=Allies, or in the case of RS, Axis=Red, Green=Allies. It's just somewhat jarring and a tad confusing when you're bumrushing a blue position as the NLF to then remember "Oh wait yeah this is ours oops", or to see a bunch of red in the killfeed and start cheering on your teammates.
You can set it so that the team colours work like that somewhere in the options menu.
It's one of the options on the first timing playing setup screen as well
Yes but is it in the options menu I don't think someone told me yet

For some reason it was also made a default, so your best bet is going in the options menu and switching it off. They also made the default color of squad members be green, instead of yellow
I got 17 hours in for the open and the last closed beta. I'm having trouble wanting to play anything until it comes out. I need my Heuy hot dropping fix, I love flying in this game

Reinstalling RO2 to fill that need until then, is there anyone playing it tho? Last time I tried it was dead
