Pain and suffering is having a US commander who thinks he is the NVA. I mean my god I've been killed more by bad commanders doing stuff with marks than any other game of RO
Probably a shitty comparison but if I loved battlefield vietnam to bits will I like this? I played RO2 a bit but for some reason it just never really clicked for me
it's RO2 but in vietnam only thing this and BFV have in common is the setting
I would pay fat stacks for some more weapons to use. Like I want to beat someone to death with a entrenchment shovel.
I would pay fat stacks for some more weapons to use. Like I want to beat someone to death with a entrenchment shovel.
You can though. Play vietnamese and use the punji stick shovel
speaking of im not 100% happy with the melee in this. Seems like you have to get up in people's butts for it to work.
it kinda annoys me that grunts don't get sidearms
Why would they? In most if not all militaries, the pistol is a weapon reserved for officers and specialized classes. Besides, I just pick one up every time a grenadier, RPG man, machine gunner, or sniper is killed.
I think the game needs more color correction, right now it feels slightly grey and washed out. For some reason SweetFX don't work for me.
Is anyone able to tell me where the soundtrack bonus is located? Can't seem to find it
it kinda annoys me that grunts don't get sidearms
They used to, I have no idea why they were removed
it's RO2 but in vietnam
It's quicker than RO2. The typical engagement distance is tiny due to the dense cover and general lack of open spaces, easily under 100 meters while RO2 tends toward protracted 100-200 meter firefights. Also, is it just me, or do the helmets occasionally deflect bullets? There were three or four times that I shot somebody in the head and heard a *ping*, but didn't actually kill them.
I don't understand this game. Sometimes I play and get so many kills that the only person who has a bigger score is the squad leader, other times - 0 kills in 20 minutes of gameplay.
With how shitty it is to aim the Loach's minigun, it might as well not have one lol. One kill with it in the entire beta up to now
Really depends on the map, I got like 30 kills on hills because it's WAY easier to spot people there. I'd say use range to your advantage, up close the Loach is rubbish. [editline]31st May 2017[/editline] In any case, what I love the most about this game compared to the other Red Orchestra games is definitely the asymmetry. Makes every match refreshing when you switch sides.
fix the bipods already for fucks sake. Bipods were annoying at times in RO2 but atleast they worked most of the time.
is there any negatives to have the bayonet mounted at all times?
is there any negatives to have the bayonet mounted at all times?
The tutorial says it increases sway
is there any negatives to have the bayonet mounted at all times?
less stability while aiming
Cool detail, in the Loach or Huey if the main pilot gets killed your perspective switches to the copilot.
Cool detail, in the Loach or Huey if the main pilot gets killed your perspective switches to the copilot.
Yeah, you're actually possessing the co-pilot pawn. Pretty cool stuff
Sapper is the best Vietnamese class. The PPSh is too good and you can get pretty cheeky with the mines.
one of my favourite strategies is booby trapping the staircases on Hue's B so many kills <3
I love Sapper, the feeling when you hear a "THUUM" sound in the distance and then realize you've taken out a few soldiers with a trap is great.
I think the game needs more color correction, right now it feels slightly grey and washed out. For some reason SweetFX don't work for me.
They have a pretty vibrant post processing setting called Woodstock, you could try that.
Friendly reminder that the RPG-7's primary use is NOT anti-air ;)
fix the bipods already for fucks sake. Bipods were annoying at times in RO2 but atleast they worked most of the time.
Yea.. It's necessary to fold them up every single time you spawn with them.
I find it weird how you don't get any extra points for shooting down helos considering how damaging they can be. [editline]31st May 2017[/editline] Are helos worth extra tickets? What's the incentive to handle them with care? I'm pretty sure in the real Vietnam war they didn't throw them away like nothing. [editline]31st May 2017[/editline] Love the dynamic radio chatter when you're piloting one though, makes it really immersive.
Friendly reminder that the RPG-7's primary use is NOT anti-air ;)
This One of the loading screens says RPG's can defeat cover like bunkers, so I tried it on one of the wooden houses in A on Hill. Easiest 6 kills of my life.
I played Scout for the first time and got 27 kills on Hue, the PPSH is a bit ridiculous. I don't think it's a fair match to the Greasegun at all.
The helmet impacts when you die are fucking terrifying

That and the Izmash are my young, summer children that I hold closely and sing lullabies to them as they turn yankees into hamburger meat
sooo if you be the grenadier and only use the smoke rounds, you can infinitely keep resupplying smoke rounds. Anything like reloading a pistol or using up anything else that can be resupplied will cause the resupply cooldown to take place. I spent whole matches just standing at supply points and shoot smoke rounds all over the map. It was pretty dank.
