God don't get me started about being commander, telling people 10 times to move away from incoming artillery and there's deaf idiots that still won't move away. I can manage the score penalty but there's NO fucking reason for the respawn delay. It just gimps your team.

I've played commander a few times, I will just aim away from my team and try to make the best of shitty angles because I know there will be dumbfucks that are on the edge of the firing line and will run in as it comes down. So far I've not had any massive clusters of teamkills, still get one or two though because either they're nowhere near an obj and deserve to die anyway or just cuz running into arty is pro strats
Is RS2 worth getting or is there anything that makes it worth waiting to get it? I'm hyped as fuck for it but I recall RO2 being buggy as shit on release.

RO2 was, RS1 was solid and so far RS2 is pretty solid as well. Some people have been getting rubber banding or connection issues though I haven't experienced anything like that myself. The worst I've really experienced is some sort of delay or desync where I'll shoot a guy repeatedly, get all the hit registration stuff, for him to shoot me instead and just waltz off afterwards.
All in all I think its pretty great. I've got 36 hours into since the last closed beta round and I'm still having fun. Still can't figure out how to fly helicopters though.

It's a buy then, I need more 'Nam in my life.
There needs to be more supremacy maps ASAP

reminder to everyone who hasn't done it already to check advanced flight model in gameplay options for a not-terrible flying experience
Holy shit, the bayonet melee-ing feels even worse than the one in RO2 and RS1. The added damage/range is almost non-existent that I'm not gonna bother with it now that I got the 5 bayonet kills achievement.
I'm surprised every single /K/ server are DOA already and the game barely officially dropped not even a couple days ago. I guess everyone burnt themselves out on the beta or are just working at this time still?
I hope they add a multiplayer campaign like they did for RO2. That was my favorite mode, easily.
My current experience with RS2 is pretty great, and compared to RO2 it feels like it has a stronger launch.

What does it actually change? As far as I can tell it just lets you fine tune collective.
You guys have probably said it before, but HOT DAMN the IZH-43 Hunting Shotgun is absolutely amazing, especially with an ammo loadout of 16 buckshot, 16 slugs.
The M37 Trenchgun feels wholly inadequate to it somehow.
Is it me, or does the advanced flight model seem to change how binocs worked? I used to be able to spot perfectly with them, but now I have to use B + RMB.

default to semi auto and changing fire modes mess with the binoc

The duckbill is king indoors. Enter a room, click once, kill everything.

it's literally just that (as far as I can tell), which is still a massive improvement over the "simple" collective
The double barrel spread is sooo tiny that I actually do terrible with it in CQC since I keep missing my shots up close like a retard.
I got kicked once because an entire squad jumped out of my sideways Huey and got turned to mincemeat against the rotor
Welp, finally got kicked due to excessive TK. US Commander on Hue City, it's nigh-impossible to not get friendly casualties even if you warn everyone 10 times.

Gotta love those 2 minute respawn times as well.
The game is so fun. This was kinda tense :v:

Question, do any of you have issues recording RS2 with Shadowplay? It keeps telling me it's trying to record desktop instead of actual game footage.
So satisfying. Also love the random explosion when he flies away that kills his three remaining teammates.

TT-33 is love, TT-33 is life. I got a 66m headshot with it in beta.

My game defaulted to borderless windowed and I was getting the same message, check that first. But also, the folder it creates in my Shadowplay folder is "Win64" so I'm not quite sure whats up.

Games runs windowed by default.

It puts my recordings into the Desktop folder, I think it's because the game is in borderless window mode? I'm not sure.
Three answers within seconds of each other. T-t-thanks.
I'll check my windowed/fullscreened settings. I don't want to have to enable desktop recording just for this game.

That happened to me too. I was on the Vietnamese team and took it upon myself to play commander for the first time ever because nobody else wanted to. People said I did a good job as commander because we were pretty much getting rolled until I took the slot, as in, we lost A, B and C within 10 minutes. Went to be commander when we switched to US, said I was calling arty on the tower at C and then what does everyone do, rush C and get me kicked for excessive TK. I did kill a shitload of VCs with the strike at least.
As a fan of Realistic/MilSim shooters like arma 3 and squad, and longs for a current generation Battlefield Vietnam, would this game meet my expectations?
did you enjoy RO2/RS1? Y: get the game N: don't
