never enough boolets :(
you need to learn how to shoot 2 filthy fascists with 1 boolet
I actually pulled that off once when I was shooting at a MG nest
glorious stalinium boolet went right through sandbags and 2 krauts

I wish you could put a scope on it
This is the only game I have to wear headphones playing because it literally sounds like hell even with the door closed. Probably doesn't help my playlist playing Adagio for Strings every now and again too. My god who did they pay to make these noises, I can just imagine the director trying to organize this "Right bob, your getting burned alive with a flamethrower, and action!"

You can hear the same screaming russian guy in Metro and Call of Duty.
Isn't one of the Nazi voice actors in Dying Light? The relatively "high pitched" voiced one?

And in Stalker. Sven gets around.
And in Stalker. Sven gets around.
I just now noticed that Sven and Yuri Lowenthal work on a lot of stuff together, that's nuts.
if you think those guys get around go look at jim cummings' list of work
yes that is his real name http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Cummings
So I got a brand new PC for Christmas and last week I finally got my graphics card for it. I can actually play RO2 on high settings at 60fps now! It's amazing.
I shot a Fritz and nicked his MP40. That let me kill a couple more. I still ended up having the least points on the team though, so I probably should have taken more risks. However, we did win the match, which I swear never fucking happens as Russians.
Imagine if tank loader can be controlled by players with a Surgeon Simulator mechanic

Crushes fingers with tank shell
Accidently throw it at the commander and kill him
Insert it backwards
Forget to lock the breech so everyone inside dies
Started playing RO2 again, third match on a campaing and I took anti-tank soldier and spawned right in front of a tank. Ended up headshotting the driver and instantly blowing the tank up in one shot.

That sense of satisfaction after constantly trying to kill a tank and then it just detonates with a final shot is fantastic.
it's interesting how many veterans play this game. there were 2-3 veterans in this server i was in and they were exchanging stories of their deployment in the middle east.
I really wish tank damage were more like Men of War, with lots of visual feedback on damage like impact marks, covers breaking off / flying open, tracks coming loose and death not always being a sudden and instantaneous ammo detonation.

You should do make "A Tribute to Destructibility" video in Men of War like you did with Garry's Mod.
You should do make "A Tribute to Destructibility" video in Men of War like you did with Garry's Mod.
I'd only do that if I included footage from hundreds of other games.
There's a tank I made in gmod that was designed to be used with WAC bullet penetration, and I made an accompanying AT rifle SWEP that you could use to destroy it by hitting key areas and activating effects / detonations by hitting emitters and explosives, breaking off parts and disabling its movement. It appears at 3:25

While it's commendable that Tripwire spent 6 months making a perfect visual recreation of both their tanks, the fact they play like crap shows their priorities were not in the right place.
Speaking of tanks, the broken leveling up applies for the Japanese tank as well.

I still wish they hadn't removed the leveling. Even if you didn't get any bonuses it'd still be great to level up as a tank class.
EDIT: And by the way, I finally got a playable alpha ready!
Alright, it's done! After almost a month delay the Type 95 Ha-Go alpha test is ready!
I added it to two maps: Hanto and Saipan. Also, the flamethrower is replaced with an Anti-Tank class due to the game crashing.
Unfortunately said class has nothing but an M1 Carbine, so I added an Engineer as well.
I don't know what else to do with it, so just download this and place the folders in "...\Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2\ROGame\Published\CookedPC\RSGame\Maps\".
Level 50 T-34 turns into a T-34/85
:)
Leveling gear is supposed to give you a slight advantage not make you invincible.

What exactly does it do to add immersion? Besides the new weapons I'm not seeing much difference from vanilla.
Recoil on the guns is something I noticed.
Just finished my first RS campaign and damn it was intense. Rolled back onto two territories as the Japanese, reason being partly Americans attacking on reverse maps and flamer spam. Tied turned when Iwo Jima came up, US didnt get past the first two caps, 6 consecutive wins later we won!
But bloody hell it was tricky.
What exactly does it do to add immersion? Besides the new weapons I'm not seeing much difference from vanilla.
There's a bunch of other stuff in his other videos - bullet crack sounds, headshot effects (helmet comes off + squishy giblet particles), bayonets can be attached/detached, the prolonged death screams and flailing ragdolls are re-enabled, and dying involves a slow fade to back and sound slowly fades out. It's lots of little things.
