I can't pin down why but the Revelations series feel very lifeless, almost as if they're unimportant in the grand scheme of the Resident Evil universe. Not to say they aren't good games, but Revelations 2 has no long lasting flavour to it at all IMO. May have something to do with how heavily it relies on call backs and 'member berries.
Revelations 2 at least let us play as Barry. That's all I ever wanted.

If they both came out as full main-console/PC games I imagine I'd care a lot more. I've only launched Rev1 once and that was because I was bored at school but then it ran poorly on my laptop so I uninstalled it, and I haven't even purchased Rev2 past the first episode, which came in a Humble Bundle with other games. [editline]a[/editline] I'll play them eventually but my mind just doesn't register them as high priority.
Is there anybody who played this mainly on PS VR? Care to give your opinions?
Been taking a look at re7.. Loada of outcast and PT vibes. It looks amazing. Might get it soon, but season pass is leaving me on the fence.
I just got to the greenhouse. That shit is horrifying.
DONT LOOK UP
Been taking a look at re7.. Loada of outcast and PT vibes. It looks amazing. In fact, it's pretty much a classic resident evil game in first person and it works so well.
i really hope games like Outlast learn from RE7's example that survival horror can still have actual gameplay
i really hope games like Outlast learn from RE7's example that survival horror can still have actual gameplay
Outlast II is already on the way and looking to continue the first game's style of 'avoid enemies, use stealth', so, so much for that.
can we talk about the unlockables [sp]almost all guides i am seeing online say you get the walking shoes for beating it in under 4 hours. but i got them on a 9 hour playthrough??[/sp]
[sp]Pretty sure you get them from destroying every Mr Everywhere in the game, so maybe you did that?[/sp]
yes that is the thing i did. [sp]also i heard a speed runner say something like getting 2 saws if you beat it under 2 hours or something[/sp]
How close am I to the end? I just got to [sp]Jack in the boathouse.[/sp]
So this has been bugging me, is there actually a way to record on the tape players that we save at?
So this has been bugging me, is there actually a way to record on the tape players that we save at?
what do you mean by this
How close am I to the end? I just got to [sp]Jack in the boathouse.[/sp]
About an hour and a half to two hours left
what do you mean by this
I mean on the tape players there's a rewind, stop, play, fast forward, and eject button, but I don't see anywhere to record onto the tape. Typewriters produce a typed out piece of paper when used, so it makes sense that they can be used for recording data (saving the game) in the older games, but it looks like the tape players in RE7 are just that, tape players. On the main menu there's a microphone next to it but in-game there's just a lot of tape players without one.
Just beat it. Honestly one of the best RE games, if not one of the best survival horror games. [sp]Fucking what, being "saved" by umbrella in the end?[/sp]

In fact, it's pretty much a classic resident evil game in first person and it works so well.
OH the game pretty much sold itself on me straight away. The whole setting, whatever afflicts the Baker family, the tight quarters, the way its like the RE games of old but in FP like you said... It's begging me to buy it. I'm scared shitless of corners whenever I see bits and pieces of the game on YT, and yet, I still NEED this. The season pass is what aches me. Should I get it or not? Thats the question. It's a wee bit expensive if I buy the game plus the pass, and I don't want to skip out of any content if its really good, which I think it might be.
Wow apparently RE7 has been cracked already by CPY, I was not expecting that.
Wow apparently RE7 has been cracked already by CPY, I was not expecting that.
really? i've seen tons of games get cracked the day of release. does re7 have some extra special drm i'm not aware of?
really? i've seen tons of games get cracked the day of release. does re7 have some extra special drm i'm not aware of?
It apparently has Denuvo, according to a quick google search and reading the titles of the results. Which I guess would make this pretty significant because Denuvo's got a pretty good history of keeping games secure for a while.
Does this mean capcom dont have to pay for denuvo? I thought they had a 2 week crack free guarantee.
Is there anybody who played this mainly on PS VR? Care to give your opinions?
I played it entirely on PSVR, and while it didn't look as nice as it would have on my computer, it made the experience infinitely more amazing. I typically like to let myself get immersed in games, books, and movies, so I can better experience all the emotions the creators are trying to get across (my fancy way of saying I get into scary games and they scare the crap out of me). Playing in VR made it so much easier to immerse myself and just have the shit scared out of me. I fucking hated/loved every time the game scared me.
Does this mean capcom dont have to pay for denuvo? I thought they had a 2 week crack free guarantee.
I'm not 100% sure, but they may have to first remove Denuvo from the title with an update before getting money back. I know a couple of other games had to do that recently - but I think they lasted for more than 2 weeks.
The intro sequence of my game had no sound effects and I thought it was suppose to be an immersion thing or something till I realized it was broke
How rare are the tapes on madhouse difficulty? I don't have much time to play games during the week so I don't want to keep repeating parts of the game if I'm not able to find a tape to save.
just got a 109 mb update, wonder what's in it. [editline]29th January 2017[/editline] Never mind, it was just some bug fixing from two days ago that I missed.
Fixed an issue where saving game progress was no longer possible if the player deleted the local save file while Steam Cloud has been turned off. Fixed an issue where HDR mode is turned back to ON upon app launch if the player quits the prior game session in full screen mode and with HDR set to OFF.
Each new typewriter either gives you 3 or 1, which is enough. [editline]30th January 2017[/editline] And there's a handful to find out and about too
