The character cares about his wife but that might not always translate over to the player.

So quick question about the demo and the full version: [sp]I remember everyone making a big fuss over the demo featuring mannequins that moved and some puzzle that involved a celluloid hand and a mannequin's finger, finding a valve to pull a gun out of the bloody toilet, etc. I played through the entirety of the full game and I saw neither of these things. Was that just something whipped up for the demo?[/sp]

The valve in the same puzzle, and the gun being a broken one in the final game that can be found and repaired as soon as you leave the main house.[/sp] The final game just didn't do any of the kind of shit the demo did in terms of strange and overly-elaborate puzzles.
