Wasn't that [sp]Clancy?[/sp]
So far what I really like about this game is how desperate it feels. If I could describe this game as a feeling, it's either a bad nightmare or that feeling when you grab a chair to put it in between yourself and a scary dog and you're both circling around it as you try not to get bit
Wasn't that [sp]Clancy?[/sp]
[sp]Yeah, but Pete had character. He was an anchor, you know.[/sp]
[sp]Weekend sub, not anchor.[/sp]
So, I'm speedrunning the game on easy right now, and I'm currently at the [sp]wrecked ship[/sp]. My time is at 2:06:05. Am I in good shape for beating the game in under four hours? I'm worried about this area in particular since it's pretty much one big puzzle, and is easy to get lost in.

[sp]You're like 3/4 of the way in, you should be good if you rush through and mostly know what you're doing.[/sp]

I was at 3:30 at that part when I did my <4 hours run and I still beat it. You have plenty of time.
So, is it worth it spending your Strong Chem Fluid for Neuro Rounds? Flame Rounds and Super Healing Spray seem just so much more useful.
Neuro rounds are garbage.
Neuro rounds feel like they're designed for weakening an enemy with, and finishing them with something else.
If you use your grenades sparingly, you can get just enough Flame rounds (outside of Madhouse) to do some real damage end-game, and mostly save space and overall ammo by not bothering with Neuro rounds.
I wish there were acid and freeze rounds like the other RE games.
Neuro rounds are good on the [sp]fatties[/sp] on madhouse difficulty. They will slow down enemies, so it's great for stopping their running attack.
I have to say, I'm not liking the Old House area that much, especially after the glorious [sp]final confrontation with Jack Baker[/sp].
More specifically, I either consume a lot of shotgun ammo on thos fucking hives or I die, and the roaming enemy of the area summons damaging bugs constantly. Is there any other solution? Should I look for the flamethrower I saw in the tape before going on with the area?

Flamethrower is pretty much required there.
It's so weird seeing how different is 7 is to the last few entries in the series. It makes 6 seem like even more a black sheep, and I find myself wanting to go back to it again despite having uninstalled it recently.
Resident Evil 7 has blown me away completely. I'm amazed at how well it's managed to salvage the franchise without doing a hard reboot, and the game makes me so happy in that it's more or less a first person classic survival horror game.
Despite being a first person shooter, the fear and tension the gameplay mechanics generate are more or less the exact same as the classic resident evils. It feels so bizarre that such a streamlined, big budget AAA game plays so closely to a classic resident evil game. I'm honestly in love with it, and I wouldn't be bothered if this is the gameplay style they retain for sequels to come.

Also I love the game for using the classic RE UI sounds for that one keypad.

Bring on the re-remake of resident evil 1 in this gameplay style. I'm gushing so hard about how it plays because it feels like the natural progression the series would have taken if it didn't take a nosedive into action shooter territory.
Will there ever be a way for me to increase the size of my inventory or am I just supposed to plan carefully and make use of the stashes?
Just got to the old house and I am enjoying the game so far.
[SP]I was going through the guest house to grab some supplies and Jack came through a wall like the Kool-Aid man and it scared the shit out of me [/SP]

[sp]Yes. A few times.[/sp]
I get the feeling that having chosen the .44 Magnum over the other coins rewards will fuck me over during the long run due to how scarce the ammo for that weapon is (at the point I am in the game, at the very least, after defeating the second family member)
[editline]Today[/editline]
Also, if I really need to find one single thing to complain about, many scripted events borders between extremely clunky and totally ludricrous and very hard to believe
So, real question:
Wesker dyes his hair right? He's totally rocking frosted tips like 50% of the time.
I forgot how much of a gauntlet the last section of RE5 is. I've been playing through it with a friend and it goes right from [sp]the Excella fucking-huge-Uroboros-monster-made-out-of-a-pile-of-corpses fight[/sp] to a section with an enemy horde that includes two of those mantis fuckers and fat minigun dudes, to the [sp]Wesker fight that involves shooting rockets and shit at him[/sp], and if I'm remembering right, it goes right from there to the final my-name's-chris-and-I-punch-boulders section with maybe some enemies before it.
Like damn can I get a breather area that I can stock up on ammo at?
[sp]I miss my PS3 save that had infinite ammo on everything and had all the medallions taken care of ;_;[/sp]

I wanna know what fucking product he's using to keep his hair in that constantly slicked back state while moving at the speed of light.

Healing spray. Its multifaceted.

Someone needs to get DC Douglas away from SFM, i was browsing his youtube and the guys made a couple of videos with a naked Wesker model to promote a convention panel where he reads erotic Resident Evil fanfiction.

There are backpack upgrades, just keep playing and they're pretty hard to miss.
How do you get the walking shoes? I beat the game in well under four hours and I just got the x-ray glasses and circular saw.

Try taking out every single bobblehead in the game. I only missed two on my first playthrough.
Unfortunately Walking Shoes only increase your base walk speed while taking an inventory slot, they don't change your sprint speed or anything else.
I haven't unlocked the shoes even though I have beat the game under 4 hours and I destroyed every bobble head. Idk if it's bugged or something.
Finally getting the minigun in RE5 was so satisfying. It felt good to play through again as an untouchable walking juggernaut of destruction.

I should replay through RE5 coop again someday. Sure it may not be the best Resident Evil game but it does coop right. Not many games can get 2 player coop perfectly like it does.
[Resident Evil 7: Biohazard] So, I can only assume I'm at the last level of the game, [sp]the ship where all this damned mess started[/sp] and that I'm an hour or so away from the ending. I'll be sure to finish it tomorrow.
I had to look up on the web two plot-related issues that kept troubling me:
1) At first I assumed that [sp]the monstrous boss you fight[/sp] at the end of the Lucas' level was [sp]Lucas himself[/sp]. Apparently he's [sp]Jack Baker, while Lucas is implied to just flee the scene[/sp]. I don't know how I missed this, maybe it was [sp]THE SUDDEN APPARITION OF A FUCKING BIG ABOMINATION MAKING ME LOSE MY COOL[/sp]
2) The very choice that determines your final ending. [sp] So apparently if you act a bit egoistical and give the serum to Mia both her and Zoe, at the very least, don't die due to the events of the game. If you give it to Zoe, instead, they both die.[/sp] I can't really see where the writers wanted to go with this and, for the record, [sp]I gave it to Mia even if I wanted to give it to Zoe. BADLY.[/sp]
