I hope Merchant comes back one day.
Merchant would have fit in RE7 just fine, I think. If they stuck to antique coins as a currency I think it'd work waaay better than the upgrade cages. I like to imagine he'd appear at windows, similar to how the cop did. At first, Ethan pleas desperately to him to help him escape, only being met with ramblings about sales and guns. Each encounter the frustration fades and by the end of the game, you're just apathetic to his existence and cracking Ethan-esque weak one-liners about him. [editline]10th February 2017[/editline]
[sp]Eveline, cant control him. And for comedic value she's afraid of the Merchant for the fact she can't control or infect him[/sp]
Adding to this, [sp] Ethan himself never truly understands who the merchant is, just assuming he's part of the family. Just like in Resi4 with his weird implied infection thing, the true backstory of the merchant is never explained. [/sp] Resident Evil is one of the only series' that could get away with this.
There's always hope for RE8.
Holy shit, madhouse is how you do a hard-mode. So much is different.
Clearly that dude in RE: Vendetta is actually the Merchant trying to get revenge on Leon for shooting him in the dick 12 times every time he stopped by, Chris does call him a "Merchant of Death" after all [sp]/s[/sp]
We almost had the merchant back in RE6 as an alternative outfit for Leon:
We almost had the merchant back in RE6 as an alternative outfit for Leon:
God dammit.
We almost had the merchant back in RE6 as an alternative outfit for Leon:
and instead they went with random pirate Leon (????)
We almost had the merchant back in RE6 as an alternative outfit for Leon:
That would've improved RE6 tenfold.

The Merchant was such a favorite to everybody, I don't know why they didn't bring him back. And his complete lack of explanation at all aside from just being there means he honestly could be anywhere. Maybe he's part of some other neutral group that frankly doesn't give a shit, or he's secretly part of [sp]The Umbrella "Redfield" works for in RE7, sorta like Drebin in MGS4.[/sp] Just bring the strange bastard back really.

The Merchant is actually Big Wesker, the greatest Biologist of the 20th century.
In case anyone needed to brighten their day, just remember that at the end of RE5 Chris punches a fucking boulder into submission. Leon's such a wimp. He runs away from boulders, Chris beats the shit out of them.

The merchant is into blond twinks.

It's nothing like the boulder, but Chris does manage to perform another super human feat by holding a fucking huge ass hydraulic door overheard long enough for an ally to pass.

Got tired of bio weapon shit and decided to hulk the fuck out and manhandle them to death.
So, for the "walk it off" achievement, do herbs, steroids, and stabilizers also count, or is it just the first aid bottles?
The only thing that doesn't count is the roids (stabilizers don't but they don't give you health anyway so why would they) I think there's about 4 steroids in the game so if you just space out their usage you good. Or just don't get hit [editline]11th February 2017[/editline] Re: the merchant, I like to think he is infected with las plagas, but his insatiable appetite for a good sale is just much, much stronger. That's it
Are there a lot of hidden things in RE7? I found the model shotgun and toy axe and looked up what to do with them and I try to explore but if the base game and demo are any indication, the house has a lot of hidden passageways and levers
Leons saving up his sexual energy for when the going gets tough.
When Leon finally has sex with Ada he's going to make her whole body pregnant. Seriously why is Resident Evil this weirdly sexless universe where everyone wants to bone but no one does

I'm just imagining the zombie birth scene from the Dawn of the Dead remake.
Leon and Ashley probably wouldn't have issues post-RE4. They did remove the parasites from their bodies, after all.
No way fag.
No way fag.
I think Ashley just wasn't Leon's type or he was just way too professional since he really showed no romantic or sexual interest in her at all throughout the entire game. He did go after Hunnigan right after
yo so i've been playin resident evil 7 and it's absolutely fantastic, but i'm havin some performance issues that seem a bit out of place. my performance in the entire starting section was perfect, smooth 60 FPS with no drops at all, but as soon as i get to the next area I've been facing a lot of issues with the framerate dropping and skipping horribly when turning around or entering certain areas (the main hall and hallway outside of the dining room being the main examples). are there any settings or workarounds for issues like this anyone happens to know about? i've tried turning most settings down to low / off and it happens anyway. strikes me as being more reminiscent of a memory leak more than anything.

The game tries to subtly stream connecting areas near your position rather than have everything consistently loaded in at once, and when you're at that 'connector' both nearby locations are loaded (which is why Jack can chase you through some doors but getting enough distance temporarily despawns him until you go back). If you're getting severe issues with this, then your system or the installed drive are having trouble loading things.
Professionalism most likely, she is the president's daughter and I dunno how well the president would like one of his agents plowing his daughter.
I think he'd make an exception for the man who singlehandedly took on a whole village cult thing to rescue her in the first place.
yeah, better not risk it though. it is the fucking president.
