[sp]The "Redfield is HUNK" theory, while I want to see more of the character, was so blatantly incorrect but its the one I see the most. There is a picture from the end of the Fourth Survivor Campaign in RE2 that shows him. He looks relatively old in that, which was in 1998. 19 years later he'd look like ancient compared to everyone else.[/sp]
Oh wow, I watched the Daughters DLC [sp]That could easily be slotted in after Zoe gets taken in her ending.[/sp] In fact, a lot of the DLC that has actual story content could be actually placed somewhere in the main campaign

But they were probably taken out (and turned into paid DLC by Capcom) because they just would've ruined the flow of the story. That's my rationale, anyway, given that both sets of DLC were released within mere weeks after the game's launch, an entire season pass released in such a short timeframe that it just seems insane.

[sp]He could also just be blonde in that and a little dirty, then dyed his hair or something. Looking at the photo he doesnt look particularly old, just shaggy[/sp]

Why would Zoe be recording a video during her relatively normal life.

The player from Umbrella Corps. is referenced as "The New Grim Reaper" and i think there are text boxes where some dudes wonder if he's actually Hunk, but other than that, poof.

So is it still canon that Chris went into a PTSD fueled rage while on a date and ambiguously murdered a random woman he wanted to bang after RE5? [editline]20th February 2017[/editline]

I think the reason RE is so sexless is because if you look hard enough, everyones actually a weird ass sex fiend. Wesker is a poon hound with priapism, Chris' murdered a woman in a blind PTSD roid rage while on the cusp of getting frisky, Leon has the most hardcore case of yellow fever known to man, Ashley got horny off europeans being blown apart, that one chick from Revelations who wants to hop on Chris while he's being eaten by monster dog things. They're just keeping it a secret from eachother.
Don't forget that one questionable novelization where Wesker asks to Chris' face about whether he could go see Claire for some action, before claiming he has the biggest hard-on while thinking about it just to fuck with his top time rival. (yes this actually exists)
It's easy to assume Jake isn't Wesker's only child. Dude went around banging everyone

And then the game came out and it was just action shootbang funtimes. I really miss Wesker's smart-ass voice. So many memorable quotes.
So i'm fairly new to Resident Evil, having only watched a playthrough of 7. I know the basic story of the series, but i'd like to play them myself for the first time. What would be the best way to play the RE games? Maybe which games to play, where to play them, stuff like that.

RE1, or REmake if you prefer but it may spoil you a bit in terms of quality, RE2, RE3, Code Veronica is optional for some people as is RE0, and then RE4 through 7. Revelations are fun but budget side titles you should probably reserve for post-RE5. But all things considered, with how disjointed fans can be about the series, there's no 'bad' starting point except RE5 and 6 if you just feel like playing whatever. Hell, I started with Revelations 2. From a non-purist perspective, the most efficient ways for the classics is Playstation Network or tracking them down for physical copies, but unfortunately that means you'd need a PS3. REmake HD and 0 HD are on Steam as well as PS4 and XBO if that's more your style; some hardcore fans would tell you to play the Gamecube version of REmake, but the only way to reliably do that is either hunt down an old copy or emulation. All those games emulate well but that's a bit of a moral quandary I can't really promote [sp]despite that being my method of playing the old games.[/sp]
If you do have to use PSN classics for the old games, use the REmake HD version anyway for RE1. Apparently the version of RE1 on the store is the dual shock version with the awful soundtrack, at least on the US store.

How did that get into a video game. It genuinely sounds like me farting into a trombone
How did that get into a video game. It genuinely sounds like me farting into a trombone
It was the 90s.
How did that get into a video game. It genuinely sounds like me farting into a trombone
It was 'composed' by a rather famous musician, Mamoru Samuragochi, that was supposedly deaf but got to do this and Onimusha 1's soundtrack, as well as compose music that eventually even got used in the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. Turns out he was mostly (though not entirely) faking it the entire time and he had a ghost writer actually doing all the work for him. Presumably this was shortly after he was considered deaf seeing as his compositions in Onimusha certainly don't suck ass in comparison.
