IIRC there is also an exclusion zone around the forests / mountains in case of stray T-virus infected creatures too.
IIRC there is also an exclusion zone around the forests / mountains in case of stray T-virus infected creatures too.
I mean that's the logical thing, and the virus didn't spread, so yeah that's probably the case.

Plus it had a nuke flash. [editline]23rd February 2017[/editline] And cause I'm bored I decided to overlay the map of Raccoon City over the crater, neat shit. I liked that the end of Outbreak File 2 implied that the craters were now a research site being used by Umbrella or some other party. Wouldn't mind revisiting that place.
Oh shit I thought that cutscene was a fever dream, I forgot about that
And cause I'm bored I decided to overlay the map of Raccoon City over the crater, neat shit.
Hm. Reminds me, it feels like a population of 100,000 is a little low for a city like that.
Idk, RC honestly looks just as big as my town and we are ~30k.
Idk, RC honestly looks just as big as my town and we are ~30k.
Depends on the depiction i suppose.
Hm. Reminds me, it feels like a population of 100,000 is a little low for a city like that.
Unfortunate effects of urban rot and foreign exporting of industry may have caused many to move to suburban areas, lowering the middle class population and raising poverty rates, and therefore increasing gang violence, causing even more people to flee the city for white picket suburbia. Or it's just a mid-sized, mid-western city. That's probably more likely.
At least it isn't Silent hill which has two separate hospitals, a hospital dedicated for mental health issues -and- an asylum, two resort towns, enough greenspace to both be covered in forest and surrounded completely by mountains. In a town of 30k.

The closest you get to that in Resident Evil is the usual "can't be assed to think of logical details" stuff. Like Jill being Delta Force at 23, which either meant she was some sort of illogically absurd prodigy that gave the middle finger to gender rules in the military or she served in the army beneath legal age. Or Simmons' entire disregard for the law of conservation of mass as he transforms into a centaur, a zombie t-rex, a giant bug, and all the while back to his humanoid form constantly.
or she served in the army beneath legal age.
That'd be fitting since even her face models have been beneath legal age multiple times :v:.
Don't forget the bigass shopping mall!
also the bat-shit crazy cult.

Fuck me how did the guys who made Homecoming and Downpour ever get the license? Imagine if we got a Resident Evil game where Birkin was back for no reason, taking place in Raccoon City South, which has never existed before. Then at the end of the game not only was it not a virus. But also not in your head either. Holy fuck Downpour's story makes no sense.

It looks like Capcom (kind of?) confirmed that Redfield is actually Chris. Although I suppose if the other theory is true, it could just be Capcom using the "codename" or whatever. http://www.pcgamer.com/resident-evil-7-not-a-hero-dlc-will-star-chris-redfield-this-spring/ Still up in the air, I suppose, but those new screenshots are pretty nice. And still no release date.
The "who or what is he chasing?" part makes me immediately think [sp]it's about going after Lucas.[/sp]
The "who or what is he chasing?" part makes me immediately think [sp]it's about going after Lucas.[/sp]
[sp]Would really make the most sense, considering how he's the only loose end the game has.[/sp]
[sp]Would really make the most sense, considering how he's the only loose end the game has.[/sp]
[sp]Honestly, I feel like that final Jack fight was meant to actually be Lucas's last trick he had up his sleeve, the one he wouldn't do spoilers on, but they decided to cut that, replace him with Jack, and continue him into DLC[/sp]

Like, where did Lucas even go? He really had nowhere to run other than the docks. I think there may be more to Lucas, though, Wasn't he sending and receiving e-mails from a third party?[/sp]

Either way, it seems somehow he probably ran off to the salt mines or something on his own given how the radio was active and other tech as well.[/sp]

[sp]Lucas pretty much definitely worked with Tensu who made Eveline. The lab you find has the information on their creation and such, and they already knew how she worked to be able to free Lucas. It definitely wasn't Umbrella Corps as you hear Redfield talking about him communicating with a third party over the radio in the shack outside the mine.[/sp]
