I can't find anything on RE7 spreading around at the moment unfortunately, so I can't say if what I posted was accurate. It's the equivalent of 'big rumor with no proof' unless I catch that screenshot again by chance.
4chan usually has a nightly post that associates the old guy as a father figure with shitpost quotes like "ARE YOU WINNING SON" or something like that example from tonight (still up): http://boards.4chan.org/v/thread/364932494 [t]http://i.imgur.com/HAo4hxp.png[/t] thats when you know its a RE7 discussion thread full of spoilers n shit. 4chan is a magical place. feel free to verify the spoilers there as i havent peeked at any.

Literally ending spoilers here, don't click this if you don't want to get spoiled [sp]It seems that in the end this mysterious Redfield saves Ethan and extracts him on an Umbrella chopper (people are saying they're a mercenary group called Umbrella Corps, after the shitty spinoff game). Not getting into the details of the family itself, I guess the 'Not A Hero' DLC is going to be a side-story detailing the new Umbrella's stake in these matters and whoever the hell this seemingly new Redfield is. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a clone or some shit.[/sp]
Anyone know of all the weapons we can get? Seems like there's going to be more of a focus on melee.
I played the game early thanks to my country that loves to break street dates [sp]you start with a handgun and a shitty pocket knife, a downgrade from the axe. Later you'll get the shotgun, that's all I can tell[/sp]
I've seen the list of weapons [sp]Apparently there are a fuckload[/sp] Also, in RE5, if I join someone's game, do I earn ingame money?
I've seen the list of weapons [sp]Apparently there are a fuckload[/sp] Also, in RE5, if I join someone's game, do I earn ingame money?
Ye you do, and iirc you also keep treasure
The final boss of RE5 is just fucked. Like, completely, it's a mess of design and gameplay, and barely works. Single player RE5 is sometimes a nightmare. Sheva will skip certain dialogue as her AI will run to a trigger than immediately leave because, well, what else is there to do? There are a bunch of jumps up ladders that can be misunderstood because she just jumps back down and doesn't tell you why, so much so that it looks like a bug.
Sheva can fight... alright. But legit anything else she is brain dead.
Does anyone else have PTSD from playing Shiva in RE5's last boss? I think it gave me carpal tunnel pressing that button so much.
Never played as her at all, but I've seen enough players die there to know that QTE is a total pain in the ass
Does anyone else have PTSD from playing Shiva in RE5's last boss? I think it gave me carpal tunnel pressing that button so much.
I literally gave up trying to beat RE5 because of this, even in coop (then again, RE5 is almost required to be played in coop since Sheva's AI is terrible), Sheva always dying on that QTE with the hanging from that ledge.
Sheva also has atrocious pathing. I was in the same room as her during the Wesker fight and instead of healing me, she tried to run around the entire map to go through the door behind me
I had to restart the final final battle with Wesker countless times because the mission has practically zero resources anywhere and all the ammo I had in my inventory was for the magnum and grenade launcher.

I've never once had AI Sheva die in that QTE in any scenario or difficulty.
Just curious if anyone here is going to play Madhouse difficulty first (either through pre-order or if anyone figures out how to unlock it immediately without having to beat the game first.) Gameplay/difficulty spoilers: [sp]As it has been confirmed by players who got the game early, Madhouse introduces a load of gameplay changes like limited saves, tougher enemies, no regenerating health and other stuff that emphasizes the survival horror gameplay. However Madhouse difficulty also features remixed and rearranged sets of items and enemies, as well as the ability to purchase key items earlier on the in-game shop due to the presence of more coins and upgrades available.[/sp] Madhouse seems to be the way to go since it is the closest in terms of gameplay to the first few classic Resident Evil games, and it really does sound like a fun challenge. But it seems like we'd be able to appreciate Madhouse's changes more, as well as potentially more replay value if one goes with a playthrough of Normal mode. I usually play games on the hardest difficulty available by default, but with this particular one being locked by default without pre-orders or beating the game normally once, and the details on its changes make it seem like the game is designed to be played through Normal mode first. So I'm kind of undecided still.
I don't know if I've ever played it on singleplayer except to farm golden eggs. Bad AI can leave a very bad taste on the game.
I don't think I've ever played it singleplayer, period. I started and finished the game with my uncle playing along with me, and I made full use of the game's online capabilities.

But yeah, my method is always normal/easy for the story first runthrough, and then the challenging shit if I replay with an eye for completionism.
I don't know if I want this game. the demo didn't speak super highly to me, and from the little i've seen, it seems to be kiting one enemy kinda deal? I need some advice here pals

It also doesn't shy away from gunplay, like the older RE games.

[T]https://pp.vk.me/c636725/v636725880/61ddf/kFsBsst2t64.jpg[/T] For those who wanted more RE6 it seems Season Pass got it covered. [editline]23rd January 2017[/editline] Although it says "free content" there was some info about this poster referring to new episodes or maybe it'll really be in "Not a Hero" idk
the only thing that really puts me off the game is the whole inmortal baker enemies, i completely understand the story / lore reasons behind it but boy i sure hate playing hide n seek with AI
https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/5pplrx/resident_evil_7_biohazard_review_thread/ Reviews are in. It's around the 8-9 range. Only got a 7 from IGN, so I guess this game is a failure.
As if IGN of all people's ratings matter.

Hoo boy finally real man's game for my PS VR Glad that I grabbed PS VR bundled with camera for $480 before RE7 tsunami came. Now it'll cost a fotune Relive this memory
itchy itchy scott came ugly face so killed him tasty
Just bought it off CDkeys, couldn't help myself lol preloading it now and I shall play it after work tomorrow, I genuinly have no idea what to expect in the game nor have I seen anything except the demo
This game looks like it's own contained story from what little I've seen of it, so does anyone know yet if I can get away with playing this without ever having played RE6? I'm pretty sure that's the only RE game I haven't played.

Hiring them to tell good games to publish from bad ones seems like suicide Hell, they gave RE6 7.9 score. What a bunch of imbecile
I just now realized that RE7 is also coming out on PC. Somehow I didn't notice that and thought it was only on consoles and I had preordered it on my PS4. Cancelling the PS4 preorder and getting it on PC.

That 30$ price tag is super tempting
