Resident Evil Megathread: COMPLETE GLOBAL SATURATION!

The most important question remains for me, does RE7 have that guy that says the title before you start the game?
So is there any real use for psychostimulants? It says they make it easier to find items, but that doesn't really seem like something you'd need since you just need to check every drawer and every interactable thing and that's where all the items will be. Or does it somehow show items that you can't even see otherwise?
this game is good as hell

it's the most tense thing i've played in a while. this would be fucked on madhouse
Enjoying it so far, I like how you're not just a walking camera that can't defend itself. Also the game looks to be better optimized then the demo. I'm able to play it at higher setting on the GPD win.
Anyone know how to exit the game? Only option i see on the main menu is to continue.
Watching someone play through this now, and jesus fuck, [sp]that part in the old house where the bugs repeatedly attack you seems incredibly frustrating.[/sp]

[sp]Until you get the flamethrower and then burning those little fuckers is one of the most satisfying things ever in a game.[/sp]
Second boss spoilers [sp]Spider-Maguerite was fucking horrifying.[/sp]
just bought the game- i was too late to preorder. that said, i would love to play on madhouse difficulty for my first playthrough, but sadly i'll need to beat the game to unlock it now. if someone finds a way to activate it through an .ini edit or what-not, i'd love to know how.

No

I would say just play it on hard now if you really want it to be as difficult as possible, madhouse sounds like it does some stuff that severely fucks up a lot of the pacing and overall design of the game, it really seems like it shouldn't be the way you do your first playthrough.
How's the PC port?

Apparently really well optimized.

The menu scrolls.

Madhouse isn't really made to be played on your first run from what I gather. It's like Arrange mode from the first game. Item positions and enemy placement change and some cutscenes aren't shown like they would be on normal. I don't get why they made it a preorder bonus because it seems like the kind of difficulty mode that was designed to be played second after you beat the game once already.
What do you mean? I tried the demo, and it was like normal sitting VR with head tracking.
The Demo's VR is different from the real game. The headtracking is there in the full game but the gun/weapon is on your screen at all times. You can't look away from your in-game arms is what I'm saying. It'll always be in front of you.

From what I can tell really really good. I'm playing it at max settings at 1080p at 144fps.
So be careful if you're playing on steam. I just got a trading card that spoiled a character in the game for me :v:
Fuck me this game runs good it runs 140fps on 1440p with a titan xp on water and i7 5280k with 1.2 resolution scale.
Game is tense as hell. This is definetly one of my favorite horror games even thought it ain't that scary.
Do I need to have played the previous re games to enjoy the story of 7?
anyone else getting some really frequent micro stutters? the [sp]guest house[/sp] section ran like butter but now I'm in the main house and it's really noticeable
(Mild spoilers) I can't believe Jack [sp]quotes Evil Dead 2 during the chainsaw fight.[/sp]
It runs good on a $1,500 GPU? You don't say :v:
Yeah felt like making excaggerated joke on a system that nobody haves. but really any recent AAA game even on titan xp will not run at 1440p 144fps only very very rarely. So that tells me this game is optimized very well.
Man, RE7 runs well, but it turns my GPU into an oven. Even at 100% fan speeds it's getting into the high 60's low 70's.

:speechless:
Mate it's a titan, your GPU is more expensive than my whole case.
Endgame spoilers:
[sp]Okay so I figured that Mia worked for Umbrella and so did Ethan..? I think? "Cavalry" arriving at the end, are those guys "Umbrella Corps" (and not BSAA) from the game with the same name? Well if so what Chris Redfield are doing with them?? (after all credits explicitly name him as Chris Redfield)[/sp]

"Oven" "High 60s Low 70s"
My GPU runs in the 80s on almost all newer games :v:
Specs?
What will a 760 and an i5-4670 get me?
GTX 980ti, i7 4790k.
Yeah I know my system is high end compared to others but most newer games run less than ideal even with this hardware. Even Skyrim (both old and remastered) can't even run above 100fps on max settings for me.

Oh, shit. I was under the impression anything over 60 was really hot. I get super paranoid and try to turn things down or stop playing games if it's hitting the mid 60's and staying there for too long.
Guess I should just forget about those temps and get back to shitting my pants then :v:

As long as it's not hitting 90s+ you're fine. 60s is actually pretty low AFAIK, 70s is average.
While playing i came across a reference from outbreak, I knew the name stood out.
If the fans sound like a wind turbine, then you know its too hot.
I thought newer cards required the fan speed to be past 70% to keep the clock speed from being throttled by the heat?
I knew it was a problem in the founders edition of the 1080's. Dunno about other cards.
My gtx970 usually sits at around 50% fan speed and 50-60c when in game.
Out of game fan speeds are 32% and 24c.
I think somethings wrong...
