Ah man, I finally got to this thread on time to potentially get a key, but I'm out of town at the moment damn
You know 5 minutes from now would be a fantastic time for more keys to be posted
You know 5 minutes from now would be a fantastic time for more keys to be posted
I PM'd you one.
Man, that Space Usurper game in Approval is really nice.
I PM'd you one.
You LIAR
You LIAR
Dude what are you talking about, check your mailbox.
Space Usurper Holy shit, this game is tough as balls. I have a love/hate relationship with the "orbit" mechanic that sucks your ship into the enemy core because in the final form stage it was super fucking hard to break more than a few turrets without dying a bullshit death. Eventually I broke enough and dodged enough bullets to deal heavy damage to the core. This can be a really good full fledged game, and I'm also really glad that you have infinite lives. I found it difficult to know where my shots are landing at times where I had to dodge tons of bullets at the same time. Maybe a directional indicator on your ship towards where you're aiming combined with the existing target reticule would make it easier to dodge and shoot similtaneously. edit: I just realized what I suggested above already exists (it's a small blue line coming out of the spaceship) If Super Meat Boy taught me one thing about very hard games, it's that they should have a very good soundtrack. The song that loops while playing hyped me up a lot and helped me keep going, and I liked the little "rewind" effect that played on the music when you died.

Eventually I broke enough and dodged enough bullets to deal heavy damage to the core. This can be a really good full fledged game, and I'm also really glad that you have infinite lives. It should be a little easier for the player to know where his shots are landing when they are trying to dodge bullets at the same time because sometimes the bullets don't land where you want them and as you're trying to dodge the rain of hell you're shooting space void which doesn't help much.
wait, you can shoot down the turrets ? oh i might have made that final fight harder on myself
You can destroy them, but instead of shooting the turrets themselves, you have to shoot the blocks around them
Fuck, i always miss these giveaways. I'll suck your dick for a key.
Fuck, i always miss these giveaways. I'll suck your dick for a key.
Would a TF2 key be okay?
Would a TF2 key be okay?
yes
Is it just me or does Deuce not have keyboard support?
Dude what are you talking about, check your mailbox.
I can 100% assure you there is no key m8
I don't really play video games lately except some arcade titles where I can drop in/out for 5 min at a time. I could give some feedback as a casual.
please key many thanks from america
You can destroy them, but instead of shooting the turrets themselves, you have to shoot the blocks around them
Well, time to play the game again
I've just added my arcade tennis game, Deuce, to the prototypes. If you've got access to the prototypes it would be great to get some feedback. You can do this directly from inside the game.
Really fun game! Played it for an hour or two. At first I was getting quite frustrated because I wasn't entirely sure how the analog stick controlled the shot, but now I'm at the point where every serve ends up being a rally of around 30-40 hits. Won against each character so far. Is it possible to unlock the two greyed out characters or are they still WIP?
Well, time to play the game again
Actually finished the final form this time Didn't realise that removing all connections to the core would remove the blocks/turrets game is a lot easier this time
Transposer I really like this puzzle mechanic as an idea but it can get disorienting very fast Revolver From what I understand, holding space (chambering the bullet) will make you go faster, passing by the green circles while chambered gives you ammo and shooting the invisible/slowly revealing targets gives you score. You lose when the yellow targets become very very visible. I can see this being a fun little mobile game.
I'd be down to try out some "fetal" projects. One of the most interesting aspects I find of game development is when devs try to find what's fun and what's not. I feel like devs tend to gloss over the "what's not", and that's honestly what gets me more curious.
[t]http://sharex.moe/i/2015/10/15-10-26_15-16-08.gif[/t] :v: Game controls pretty poorly for me, it's different to other tennis games I've played

Seems like you have to press the button 3 seconds before the ball hits the racket.
Just played a match of Deuce on the swamp map with the jetpack-girl character. I found her kind of difficult to control, might take some getting used to, but I felt she moved too sharply. I didn't have a chance to try any of the other characters yet, maybe they're the same. I was also diving a lot when the ball was in easy hitting range, causing me to miss, that again might be because it'll take some getting used to though. The swamp map looked great, however the orange things dangling from the ceiling blocked my view of the ball when it went high sometimes, so that's either a camera issue or a map issue. Other than that though I had no issues with it. Overall though, I think this game has huge potential, and it'll fill an (AFAIK) empty niche that is PC Tennis Games. I remember playing and enjoying Top Spin on the 360 about 10 years ago, and that was the last Tennis game I played, so I look forward to again playing a tennis game when this is finished.
I really do enjoy Space Usurper But the limited amount of content really means I can't continue enjoying the small game Something that may be interesting to do is incorperate user created ships, Like scan a folder of xml like files, each referencing an image, and data on the behaviour of turrets :>
Oooh. Any possible chance I can use x360CE with Deuce?
as long as it's xinput just looked over the dlls
Messing with stuff is great fun, how do you rotate thins though?
Just pushed a fix for this, and added some basic instructions. Might take a while for the new build to appear.
I should probably mention that if your on mobile, there is no redeem function, you need to be on a computer to do that.
Does Deuce have options? It works kinda slow for me.
Space Usurper sounds pretty fun; I would love to give it a try if/when I can get my hands on a key.
