still no endless waves mode :l
still no endless waves mode :l
Having a leaderboard would be pointless, that kind of thing inevitably ends up broken with people having impossible times pretty much straight away. Like when L4D did it.
still no endless waves mode :l
Twice a glitch had occurred to me that during trader time, small trash like clots were still spawning for some reason. One dude had to shoot them while everyone else traded and switch turns. That was really exciting.
And immediately cheaters will be at the top with some impossibly high score.
I did that in l4d2 once because special infected are still considered players so you can kick them so I was kicking tanks and smokers and jockeys it gets really boring after a while as with all cheats that make everything too easy

A mode like this would test the true skills of even the most veteran player/players.
and yeah leaderboards would be mostly useless
Any of the Call of Duty leader boards come to mind. Countless pages of people with e+28.95568999 score with names like xXLOSTPROPH3TXx
Any of the Call of Duty leader boards come to mind. Countless pages of people with e+28.95568999 score with names like xXLOSTPROPH3TXx
tbh I don't really care what's on the leaderboards I just want an endless wave mode like what does it mean to be on the top of a leaderboard nowadays exactly what you've all been saying--you're a cheater--but they have to have it for survival games cheaters can enjoy being #1 on the leaderboard while the rest of us can enjoy endless waves
Someone will make an endless wave mod then.
It really pains me to see the comments for the most recent update in the tripwire forums there's like 1 guy who's thankful for the update, everyone else is being impatient as fuck and being like "ok but the game still sucks tho rebalance patch and sharpshooter when? this game is taking too long to come out so can you just finish it already? i have no idea what it takes to make video-games"
im just glad to see tripwire taking extra steps and starting the year off right
anything you guys would like to change from kf1 sharpshooter to the upcoming kf2 sharpshooter?
AFAIK, there's bullet penetration on pretty much all Sharpshooter weapons, and the weapons will generally be slower-firing, heavy-hitting (pretty much the opposite of Commando).
anything you guys would like to change from kf1 sharpshooter to the upcoming kf2 sharpshooter?
Give him a WW2 era bolt action rifle. I want a Moist Nugget with a bayonet included.
anything you guys would like to change from kf1 sharpshooter to the upcoming kf2 sharpshooter?
hopefully there'll be more rifles since gunslinger is an actual perk now so all the pistols that belonged to sharp in the first game free up room for more rifles in the second game
Well, it is a month after the month they had planned to be done with the game.
Jesus christ, just stop game [t]http://i.imgur.com/pG8Gewz.jpg[/t]
Remember when they said they couldn't fix Demolition because they didn't have enough time?
anything you guys would like to change from kf1 sharpshooter to the upcoming kf2 sharpshooter?
Start him off with the Crossbow, then have him move up to the Lever-Action -> M14 EBR -> M99 AMR. I know people would hate that though, they sure loved their Crossbow. But I just never understood how a low velocity crossbow > any firearm, let alone one of the strongest in the game.
Jesus christ, just stop game [t]http://i.imgur.com/pG8Gewz.jpg[/t]
Too bad crates aren't worth 4 dollars anymore.

I say you're more likely to survive a crossbow bolt than a bullet.
I say you're more likely to survive a crossbow bolt than a bullet.
These days if you get shot in head with immediate medical attention you have quite chance to live. A bolt on other hand won't go through that nicely and will highly a likely take bunch of grey matter with it.
Man I really want to play this game, but I don't feel comfortable with it still stuck (correct me if I'm wrong here) on EA status for the longest time. Probably old, but this gameplay vid is pretty cool. [hd]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sKKbTFfRdw[/hd]

I think the video game logic is that the crossbow bolts are longer than any bullet and are therefor better. That's what I always took it as, but I never really take video game logistics as anything more than the superficial. Bigger is better, louder is better, etc.
I actually argued with a guy on the official forums that kept trying to tell me that the MP5 was better than the MP7 because the 9mm is bigger than 4.6mm, and he ignored every other characteristic. His logic:
MP7: 20 rounds per mag, low damage (lower than 9mm, because he uses 4,7 mm rounds), high rate of fire. The only good thing about MP7 is its size and weight, which means nothing in KF world. MP5: 30 rounds per mag, normal damage (20, like ar-15 rifle), moderate rate of fire. Versitile powerfull weapon, like L85 for commando. P90: 50 rounds per mag, normal damage (about 20 again, as it uses 5,7 mm rounds, not very powerfull ones, but with longer barrel then mp7), high rate of fire. Vector: 33 rounds per mag, high damage (about 50< because of .45 ACP ammo), high rate of fire, very stable (special recoil compensating system which made Vector popular in the first place).
:glare:
These days if you get shot in head with immediate medical attention you have quite chance to live.
It depends on what you're shot with. The ballistics on some bullets are just downright nasty.

His logic: :glare: It depends on what you're shot with. The ballistics on some bullets are just downright nasty.
Tell the guy to look up firearms and actually understand how they work instead of looking at a single factor. Looking at a bullet's size alone is like comparing computers by their clock speed, sure you'll get a rough idea of how fast they'll be but you'll never get the real comparison. And crossbow bolts can be more damaging than bullets since bolts are made to pierce and stick to the target, not pierce through it. The best comparison to a bolt would be hollow point bullets, but there's been many cases where hollow points bullets to a person's head didn't kill them, compared to the ones about crossbow bolts successfully killing the person.
There are other places to hit someone other than their head, you know. Bullets tend to froth and tear up the area they hit, bolts and arrows just go *THUNK* and leave a hole, even being a little generous and plugging up the wound it caused.
I feel like the China Lake would have been better than the M97 for KF2. It'd solve the problem of it being too slow, but it wouldn't be as crazy as the M32. [editline]31st January 2016[/editline] I was thinking about the M320 but then I realized the Grenade Pistol model already fits that role.
Demo needs to be completely rebuilt, it's tied with commando for being the most useless class at the moment. Tripwire has gone full Tony Romo on this ball-droppery
