Killing Floor v8 - Come Out, Come Out Little Pigs!

I'm feeling as if my mouse sensitivity changes based on some unknown factor. The distance my crosshair moves doesn't uniformly match the distance on mouse mat and it's really jarring.
In zed time in particular sens seems to skyrocket sometimes, and slow down in high mayhem, so it might be an fps thing. I'm playing borderless windowed with v-sync off.

I believe mouse acceleration is on by default and you have to change it in the config files. I forgot where in this thread but someone posted a link about how to change it, that or just google mouse acceleration kf2.

I've had this issue too and I'm one of the few that's mentioned it. I did turn mouse acceleration off but I haven't played since I've done that, so I can't confirm it's fixed. It's also semi-rare and varies by how jarring it is, at worst it completely hinders my ability to play, and I end up doing badly. I haven't played lately because my mouse is acting up and I can't consistently stay aimed or to a lesser extent fire automatically, and I don't know when I'm getting a new one or even what model (sadly my G9x is out of production now, and leftovers are going for $300...)

Sounds eeriely familiar. The unpredictability makes it the worst.
I knew there was something off about my aiming. I just couldn't explain what it was.
Wasn't there also another thing - different values for vertical and horizontal sensitivities?

Yes, those are in the ini too. I've assumed those are for when you're using gamepad or keyboard for looking, but I might as well test it now.
You gotta turn mouse acceleration off after every update, or set your cfg to read only

bViewAccelerationEnabled=false

LookUpScale=-0
I have no idea why so many devs have it on as default, I can't imagine why anyone would want their sensitivity to change based on how fast they move their mouse
So I did some testing

Have no bearing on mouse at all. Tested by setting to insane values and nothing changed. Would've tried with gamepad but didn't find the option to enable XInput so I didn't bother to.

Puzzlingly, I'm not detecting much difference when changing these settings around, at least not in brief offline testing.
Setting smoothing to true on purpose doesn't make it true in the settings menu in game, but that doesn't seem to make a difference.
Furthermore, enabling acceleration doesn't seem to get you any acceleration at all, so disabling it might not do much good either.

new patch notes 'a wip changelog'
AA-12 buff, thats good, and the weapon switching speed is really really nice. also glad that fps/scrakes won't insta enrage when they're the last few alive. shame they couldn't do any other balance changes though...
Is the LAR using the shotgun animation as a placeholder? There's no emphasis on working the lever.

-Except Hans
I didn't expect versus so soon
-Except Hans
not until they redesign his fight, if they do, due to how he heals up
-Fleshpound will no longer perma-rage, and Scrake will no longer insta-rage when they are among the last few remaining Zeds.
-Possible fix for trader not filling ammo when you only need a few bullets.

Good update, and if the VS gamemode holds (lets gonna be honest, it looks pretty cool) and the new update system allows them to update the game faster, it will be an excelent update.
Help, I've been holding my breath for so long I forgot how to breathe

I dunno, I remember the acceleration was pretty bad when I left those on, especially in zed time as someone else pointed out
Am i missing something because flex is still in my game in the current patch. I don't know if that will change with the new update but currently I still have the ability to use it.

Afaik, flex fluids are not supposed to work for now.

I think they only locked out the highest setting
FleX gibs should be working
Fluids won't
So, how much is the suit Foster? Also fucking hell, i keep getting cases and usbs non stop
$5 I think? I like it, it looks pretty spiffy. Makes Foster look a little less buff than his leather coat though.
Anniversary soon, fellow floor-killers. How sad is that?
Not at all because the game's playable and relatively bug free.

It's easy to have few bugs when your game doesn't do anything.
With.. what? Two Measurable content updates within a year?
During an unfortunate event where the last 4 zeds were 2 permarage FPs and 2 SCs, I managed to stunlock an FP for 10 whole seconds with my knife because it was the only thing I could do before going down. Quite proud but everyone still died.
What is everyone's opinion on KF2?
What is everyone's opinion on KF2?
A lesson that thought me that no matter how convincing "dev diaries" are and how much devs seem to care about their game, everything can still go tits up and they could end up having only 2 reasonably sized updates to their greenlight game in almost a year now.
While I did fall for it and made the mistake of buying a greenlight game, their entire development process is just pathetic and laughable and I hope this will serve as an example to other developers so they know the consequences of putting a game on greenlight before having any sort of planning and development structure.
