Killing Floor v8 - Come Out, Come Out Little Pigs!

I have crap Internet and reading the update notes isn't worth leaving my laptop on all day to play this, it's just taking up space on my HD.
Guess it's time for me to quit KF2 till the next big update.
Demo is busted, Hans is even more broken than before and VS mode got old after 4 games.
It's like i'm back in the days of early patches of BF3/BF4.
So uh, can someone fill me on how this game conductor thing works?
Demo can't stun anymore, it's so bad it's hilarious. Yet xbow can stunlock SC. A goddamn weapon has more utility than a whole perk. Amazing
the game conductor is only good if you're new to the game or a not so good player. there've been reports of the game spawning in scrakes at round 3, fleshpounds+scrakes at round 4, not to mention the bosses doing insane damage if you're doing well, though thats probably a bug. so basically it heavily punishes people for playing on lower difficulties if they're actually good at the game. it needs a lot of work, like literally everything in kf2, and its gonna be awful for when im playing with my less experienced friends and it fucks the game up for them because im there.
according to some people it can change zed spawn rate, movement speed, attack rate, and attack damage.

Before, we literally could not win Hard with 2 level 21s. We had played at least 15 Hard games and never won one. Now, it's not consistently beatable, but it's definitely doable. We've won 3 out of about 7 games or so.
why exactly? do you die on scrake/fp rounds, or do you just get overwhelmed? for scrakes you want to leave them for last pretty much all the time, and be sure to set up a 'killzone' for them, depending on the perks you're using. hard scrakes take a lot of damage to enrage, you can pump them with like 7 or so scar headshots, reload, back away to get a good position, than engage and kill them off with shit accuracy before it even reaches you.
Just hit level 25 as the most boring class: Commando.
Bright side you don't have to worry about playing as it no more.

Honestly only spawn rates and squad spawns should be changed by that, having damage and health values just magically change mid-game is a pretty shitty thing (though I want to see someone get eaten by turbocrawlers 10 seconds into a wave). At least with zed types you know what you're dealing with just by looking at them even if the game spawns more of them, but how can you tell if something will just randomly hit you for x2 damage or soak up extra bullets in the face?

I sorta feel like most boring class should go to Firebug (in terms of difficulty and mechanics at least).
At least with Commando, you at least make an attempt to land headshots on large Zeds and run the fuck away if you run out of ammo. But as Firebug, just aim anywhere near the general vicinity of Zeds, set them on fire, and watch them all explode because of Shrapnel. Firebug was the second perk I maxed out (after Berserker) just because I could sit at a doorway and burn everything walked through; not to mention that the MWG did insane amounts of damage for low effort.
Bit more fun in KF1 as weapons like the Husk Cannon were pretty hard to use properly and the Flamethrower had that ridiculous recoil.
Apparently the Winchester doesn't give experience points yet. Could have sworn those other no-class weapons do though. Also, it doesn't seem to show up in the list with the Top Weapons you used after a match. Might be wrong on the latter though, but I've used one for almost an entire match, yet it didn't show up afterwards in that list.

The only other non-class weapon that wouldn't give you XP is the Katana for Martial Artist. Things like the Medical Syringe (melee bash) and Dual 9mm's give you your current perk XP.
Starter knife is by far the most fun weapon in the game, but essentially useless all the way through.
I wish there was more to it.
Is it just me or is the set input command not working?
Finally got to try Patriarch only to find out that there's a bug where you just abruptly die with 25% of your HP remaining. :suicide:
Tripwire really needs to open-beta-opt in this shit because they clearly don't fucking test half of it.

but that's what their 4 months of in-house QA testing is for... :)

I honestly dont think they test anything and their in house QA shit is a lie. they just play it for a few games and make sure it works, then hand it off to pcgamer or whatever for bigger updates.
There's only one type of versus mode that I want, and that is a queue system that lets you join an end game as the finale boss.
Versus mode will become plenty more fun when objective mode and objective versus mode come.
Just hit level 25 as the most boring class: Commando.
I like Commando... To me Firebug is the most boring class. W + M1 everywhere. If you see a large mob, S + G.
I guess that's why Firebug is Level 5 for me.
what's the funnest class?
so maybe I'm wrong on this but did anybody actually want a pvp mode? especially over finishing the co-op aspect of their game?
like these fuckers can't even finish or balance their co-op part of the game yet, why would they add an entire pvp mode?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/CFdJBOU.jpg[/t]
jesus fucking christ, disgusting.
what's the funnest class?
depends on what you find fun, really. I'd wager support and zerker are the most 'fun' because the shotguns feel nice and with berserker you're going toe to toe with everything, and the pulverizer is really satisfying to use. however, if you like popping heads, commando/gunslinger (one for rifles, one for pistols), if you played pyro in tf2 you'll probably like firebug, if you're a healslut its medic.
if you like explosions, play medic and buy a grenade launcher or something, you'll be more useful than a demo.
what's the funnest class?
Medic means you can carry even some of the most shittest teams to victory. At high levels you can also just sprint away from everything forever.
Zerker has a high skill ceiling, but that doesn't stop you from spamming moves on the Zwei or Pulverizer.
Firebug is both visually fun and actually good. The worst thing you'll have to do is toss up between the flamethrower (better for spam), and microwave gun (better for big stuff.)
Support gets shotguns, big carry weight if you desire, and other fun shootbang stuff.
Demolitionist (at not Level 25), Commando, and Sharpshooter are all kinda just eh. Nothing against Commando and Sharp, but you're better off in one of the above classes for your team. If the team is already gud, go ahead though.
Demo is just :why:
so maybe I'm wrong on this but did anybody actually want a pvp mode? especially over finishing the co-op aspect of their game?
I'm not opposed to a PvP mode for Killing Floor 2. Hell I think there were a decent amount of people that wanted one in Killing Floor. That said, I really wish they would get their priorities in order and finish the core game first and then add on the extra stuff.
like these fuckers can't even finish or balance their co-op part of the game yet, why would they add an entire pvp mode?
The illusion of progress? I'm not really sure what they're planning on doing anymore, and quite frankly I'm starting to doubt whether they actually have a development plan.
Honestly I'm confused as to how this update got pushed out at all. The PvP, cosmetics, and weapons seem to be the only things they actually put effort into. They made Demo even more useless which, quite frankly, is an amazing accomplishment on their part. Hans is even more broken than before and the new map feels incomplete or lacking. Here's hoping they actually put that new patch system to use and start putting out bug fixes instead of making people wait half a year for the simple shit.

I think you mean amazing.
that dino helmet is fucking badass, why would you think it's disgusting?
because its tf2-tier memeshit. if you like it, thats fine, but it feels like some f2p item. I wish they stuck to their artstyle for more than a few months after the game was released, but they didnt, so oh well.
I love how people still act like KF2 is gonna change from KF1 with it's slight sillyness
KF2's art style is really similar to Dead Rising's. Goofy situations in a serious environment; shit like the dino hat is fine.
Bring back Commando Chicken 2k16
tf2-tier memeshit
Stop.
KF2's art style is really similar to Dead Rising's.
No?
This shit didn't happen until a good way into KF1's life (and actually stayed pretty true to the game for the longest time, look how grungy the chicken and santa are.)
KF2 didn't have any of this shit until the abrupt Chivalry crossover. The knight was kind of weird, but if fit well enough. But a massive, super-colorful dino mask slapped onto any ol' character is goofy and dumb.
[sp]Who really cares though. If it bothers you, don't play with those kind of people.[/sp]
it's no more insulting than the chickenator, and it doesn't break the art style at all. It's consistent with all the other assets in terms of its actual model and texturing. In-universe it's just some silly costume hat you could buy from a costume store or something. What you mean to say is it conflicts with its tone, not art style. To which, KF1 had that worse than KF2 does at the moment. Steampunk and holiday shit everywhere.
KF2 also has a player skin that is literally a medieval LARPer pretending to be a gallant knight as he survives what is described in the plot of the game as a life or death situation, so it's not like this game is trying to build up to be any more subdued than its predecessor.
also how is a silly hat a "meme?" I thought a meme had to be, yknow, memetic. Not just kinda wacky.
right and the chickenator is a dumb character as well, but it is its own character. kf1/kf2 is partially a joke game, but the general tone of the game (yes, I mixed it up) was at least partially serious based around the character that you played. you had your serious characters like axton, and briar, and foster, and the joke ones, like the japanese actor trying to be a samurai, or the larping knight, and they worked in tandem, but now thats out of the damn window with shit like this, because you can slap it on anyone. you can make all the more serious characters look like complete jokes.
Stop.
stop? nah. its not really much of an argument because I dont really play in pub servers much anyways so I won't see it much, but tf2 felt like a much better game without tons of trashy cosmetics polluting it up, same with dota, and the same with this. eventually characters will just become mostly unrecognizable with clown masks, rainbow helmets, and all sorts of other dumb crap that'll make the game look like a total joke.
