Killing Floor v8 - Come Out, Come Out Little Pigs!

Yeah see that's what I'm thinking, in KF1 entire characters were jokes like the Commando Chicken or the Grim Reaper. Now it's like... you got this priest dude who's wearing a dinosaur head like... where'd that come from and why? That's TF2 if I ever saw it.
I think VS mode needs a server map time, that only changes map once the game ends preceeding a specific timestamp (20 minutes in or something), if not, then the players are automatically switched to the opposite team and a new game is played out in that same map.
Sometimes you have a full team wipe in wave 1 and then the map change, felt too short tbh
VS team refused to give me the 200 Dosh I needed to get the medic AR after carrying them both in healing and kills the first three waves. (Abruptly died at the end of wave 3 when they stopped paying attention and I got cornered by 4 player zeds.)
So when wave 4 came around, I might have used the "bug" to swap over to ZED team. They didn't even last 1/3rd of the way in. That was very satisfying, as much as I hope they fix said bug. :v:
Are you not allowed to put items on the marketplace if you unboxed them? My KF2 inventory is always stuck at the same old items I used to have rather than my new ones.
I think there might be a wait limit, like a week or something before you can put it on the market.
This game sucks so much balls, I cannot believe that they fucking played us like this; I asked for a Killing Floor 2 and what I got was a Killing Floor 1.1 with less content than the first and updates that take 4 months and to add to that we get a stupid ass PvP gamemode before the game is even finished with the content that we were promised from the start, WHAT THE FUCK

we all got pranked

You did it. You said what we've all been thinking.
Don't forget that with each update they improve a lot of things but those things aren't outweighed by the one thing they make worse--ala infinitely raging fleshpounds, auto-rage scrakes and demo death-nerf. That in itself is an example: they fixed the fleshpounds and scrakes but in exchange they fucked demo.
Normally I'd be one of the few people in the thread not complaining about everything Tripwire does with the game, but my god the versus mode is so fucking awful for so many reasons
If the survivors have a medic, they'll probably win, and if they have a level 25 medic, they'll almost definitely win
Other points are that I think what tripwire was going for was for this to be like Left 4 Dead versus, however, it cannot work because Killing Floor and Left 4 Dead are two completely different games in terms of enemies
In Killing Floor, enemies walk mindlessly towards you and don't employ any tactics besides the convenient siren that spawns with two fleshpounds to be her meatshield; in Left 4 Dead only the common infected, ie the horde run straight at you. The special infected on the other hand are a little bit sneakier than that. And not only are they smarter, but the Special infected in Left 4 Dead all employ some CC, examples:
Hunter: pounces a single survivor and attacks them until they're pushed off or killed
Smoker: grabs a survivor from long range and slowly pulls them towards you
Boomer: blocks vision, attracts horde
Spitter: AoE damage
Jockey: pulls single survivor away from group
Charger: grabs survivor and pounds them into ground
Tank: punches people and sends them flying
All of them have crowd control, coupled with the fact that there are only 4 survivors rather than 6, as well as health kits in L4D are limited, are what make versus in L4D actually decent and non-shit.
Meanwhile, in Killing Floor:
Clot has a grab
Bloat and Siren have some screen fuckage
Siren has that vacuum thing
that's it
Also, in killing floor all the survivors are infinite healing machines
tl;dr versus is shit, rant over
[editline]9th April 2016[/editline]
Also, wish they hadn't wasted their time with this versus shit and just gave us sharpshooter instead
I feel like with PVP you can tell they're running out of money. Like they just heard that PVP is the most popular thing in the industry right now and threw it together in hopes that it'd rake in the dough.
Which, truth be told, doesn't really work well if PVP is shit in the first minute of playing it.
you can't refund steam games that are over 6 months old so there's no way out
can't really do much but wait at this moment. They're working on RO: Vietnam at the moment too.
Is it just me or did the prices of the skins just spiked up?
My Stories of War M1014 is now $1.38 when I bought it for only 10 cents

They cashed in on the money before the game was released, and almost 1 year in the game is still in EA and they've barely created diddly dicks worth of content. If you can tell me seriously that Tripwire may be running out of money I'd laugh in your face and call you naive, or maybe they really are running out of money because all this time they've been burning big piles of cash while chanting to the code god for the game to complete itself. Their structure is an absolute mess and they keep showing everyone that they have no clue what they're doing.
PvP isn't an attempt at trying to make the game sell more, its a result of piss-poor management and having the attention span of a rock when it comes to priorities ("we had to hold back on sharpshooter because of last-minute tweaks, by the way we didn't actually do shit about sharpshooter and we're saying that so you'd get off our backs").
I dunno, I like PvP. As stupidly imbalanced as it is and the fact there are no length/difficulty options.
It was just a shit thing to focus on and Tripwire has shown that it's clearly horrible at managing funds. If they were any worse I'd almost say it's money laundering or some shit. v:v:v
I like Killing Floor 2.
I like Killing Floor 2.
How DARE you.
You'll be hearing from my lawyer.
I'm just gonna pretend PVP doesn't exist and go back to playing this once every week or so when my crew gets bored of Payday or [flavor of the month game].
I called this nearly a year ago when I said it was a guarantee they were going to go into micro transactions because they work so slow that purchases will dry up and they'll need alternative revenue streams. Nobody cares about cosmetics in co-op games, the Portal 2 store and Payday 2 attest to that. People must not have been buying enough cosmetics, because shocker, most people bought this game to play the game, not play Barbie dress up.
That's why we now have PVP. Not because the original player base wanted it, but because they need to make money, and a competitive environment lends itself to people wanting to be "better" than their opponents. Buying hats to make yourself look richer and fancier than opponents accomplishes that.
They're trying to get a new player base, full of people who waste money on cosmetics. Eventually KF2 is going to go F2P or at the very least as cheap as $1-5 because nobody will be buying the game that doesn't have it and they'll need to get the people who never buy games but can't control their gambling to buy into the pie. As soon as a developer puts in a crate system you know things are fucked because it's clear as day it's only there to exploit people with gambling issues into becoming whales and dropping $100 for the chance to have a golden gun or burning hat to fill whatever void they have in their lives. I mean, if it wasn't because of that, it'd just be a cash shop, where you buy things directly, and not a fucking Skinner Box mechanic designed with variable ratio reinforcement.
In the future, expect most of their updates to go towards things that will make them the most money, like cosmetics, PVP and a push for e-sports, and a lack of focus on gameplay issues that only affect the "hardcore audience", like perk balance, HOE tuning, etc. Yeah they're a corporation and they need to profit, duh, but they're supposed to be indie, their games are supposed to be a labor of love, and the way they treat the game makes it feel like a means to an end.
There's probably a few developers left in Tripwire who are trying to make a great game but if the team would just mobilize, ask their fucking community to do the testing (because they obviously suck at testing their own game, let alone playing it), drop the whole "polish" bullshit because this latest update shows it's not polish holding things back, and stop treating legitimate player complaints with "git gud" responses maybe they can keep their original player base instead of only having F2P whales, little kids and idiots playing the game.
I'm so disappointed with Tripwire. Such a wasted opportunity with this game. I have little hope they'll turn it around and make this game a great improvement to KF1 because right now there are outstanding issues not being addressed and only small bug fixes and tiny buffs/major demo nerfs being pushed out.
tl;dr It's TF2 all over again.

Pretty much everything has gone up in price since the update dropped. My headbands where 0.03 and now they're like 10 cents.

Most likely people mass buying stuff to use for crafting
7gb update what the fuck is going on
7gb update what the fuck is going on
They finally finished the game and the game is coming out of EA.
[sp]joke[/sp]
Wait is that shit 7gb of cosmetics cause all the changelog says is like some bugfixes
2 weapons versus and a new map. Also the game conductor and live update systems.
I find it hilarious when people are like "wow only cosmetics wtf is this shit" when the first thing in the patch notes is the new additions. It's like when they announced the prison map and most comments were WTF NO NEW MAPS TWI
how is that worth 7gb
Unreal engine games always have giant patches. And yes the cosmetics probably make 1/4 of that.
it's almost 8gb
how do you get 8gb from 1 map, 2 weapons, PvP mode and 70 hats?
if it's anything like other games that do this it's because it's overwriting entire sections of the game files, not just adding new stuff
Well shit. Still I guess it's something.
I don't like how changing the graphical settings restarts the fucking game...
