No? This shit didn't happen until a good way into KF1's life (and actually stayed pretty true to the game for the longest time, look how grungy the chicken and santa are.) KF2 didn't have any of this shit until the abrupt Chivalry crossover. The knight was kind of weird, but if fit well enough. But a massive, super-colorful dino mask slapped onto any ol' character is goofy and dumb. [sp]Who really cares though. If it bothers you, don't play with those kind of people.[/sp]
KF1 was destined to be a meme game when every single character had funny voices and all sounded the same. They kind of did it to themselves there.
KF2's VA at least know how to balance sillyness with serious depending on the situation they are facing It goes from joking about the zeds or the places they're in, to screaming bloody murder as they get pulverized

It's not really far-fetched that real people in a scenario like this wouldn't use cheesy humor to alleviate the situation, the characters still snap back to reality and panic when near death. And AFAIK voice actors are paid quite a bit of money for their work, it would have been kinda crazy to pour so much work and have many VAs for a project which started as a slightly better and more refined version of a mod, and that's besides Tripwire possibly not expecting the game to be such a success.

So VS is an actual gamemode or still a mutator? Also why they don't make an open beta before patching the update as official? Is way more easier
actual gamemode but I'm not sure what settings are good for it in the MMR I just know that it's 4 waves only
It's Normal / Short.
I miss being able to insult players, among other "orders". I know, is all automatic done by the characters, but I just miss spamming it.
Is gunslinger a good big zed killer? Feel like I'm using it ineffectively. And I'm 25 on it right now :I
Is gunslinger a good big zed killer? Feel like I'm using it ineffectively. And I'm 25 on it right now :I
Use Rack Em' Up and don't miss. You should be able to take down Scrakes just with Dual Deagles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TGLCgTwRZA There are also new techniques for soloing large zeds with the XBow in combination... but I haven't personally tried those yet.
All the new game mode needs is a sprint meter for zeds and suddenly everything is a lot less terrible. Also heavy attacks should root you in place. On a more precise note there are things that need a tweak, for example the Alpha clot's rally has a stupid low cool down and makes all AI zeds sprint, it's super bullshit, if you get alpha clot just spam rally at all times.
How do you get item drops? I got 1 crap skin ages ago and nothing since

Had trouble landing headshots on a Bloat that was spinning and juking me last night because he was going Sanic fast. Goddamn absurd sight to see even if it's KF2.

For example, give the syringe a much longer cooldown so you cant just spam healing, which is something that makes killing off a survivor take too much effort for the zed team. Give the zeds a sprint meter is a bad idea, since as a survivor you can just pick a perk with movement speed passive such as gunslinger, outrun zeds and win every time.
Firebug is broken too because he can just spray his flamethrower around and stun-lock any player Zeds that aren't giants. Husk's flamethrower also feels impressively weak, I flamed a guy for 5 seconds and didn't notice his health drop at all.
Tripwire can't even balance the actual game, classes/perks, or waves - I don't see Versus getting any good balance passes any time soon. I've seen victories and losses though, so it's better than raw sweeps always for one team. But typically if survivors have decent coordination (aka 2-3 friends) and/or a smart Level 20+ Medic, you're not going to win. Patriarch's bugged HP gauge results in a lot of premature victories too and winds up being the most boring part of the whole match as every single Player Pattycake I've fought has played excessively cautious/campy/snipey. (Can't blame them too much, but on my run I took out two players quickly before abruptly dying at 25% HP or so.)
How do you get item drops? I got 1 crap skin ages ago and nothing since
Once a week you get one, not sure when the thing resets.
"Leaked" sharpshooter skills, I guess. Take this with a big grain of salt: http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=117190
I hope these are temporal before finish the perk, because they are boring.
I hope these are temporal before finish the perk, because they are boring.
there aren't many non-boring skills in the game anyways. not to mention they still dont know how to make ones that really make you stop and think 'which one should I get' since for the most part theres only one skill in each choosing that makes any sense.
Wish bugsplat would just fuck off and die. It's been closing my game in the midst of good matches and closing SDK on startup.
The only skill that i absolutely find the least boring is the Tactical Reload skill Come on it's so cool to look at, especially for Gunslinger [editline]11th April 2016[/editline] It's a shame that firebug's faster reloading goes to the trend they wanted to avoid with tactical reload, being it's just the same animation sped up

I rationalize it as the Firebug just being in peak physical condition, he just can push himself faster. Whereas the Commando is skilled, he isn't performing that move faster, he's performing a new move that is itself faster.
well i mean for the firebug I can understand why they didn't make a tactical reload animation, like... there's no "tactical" or faster way to put a canister in a flamethrower
I remember when the game first released the flamethrower had a tactical reload that was a decent bit faster. No idea if there's anything there for the other weapons though.
I honestly prefer most of the non-tactical reloads, especially for commando, which is a shame since its basically one of the needed perks for higher difficulties.
I was expecting the tactical reloads to be noticeablely more skilled looking, but to me they just have more flailing.
