What is the update for today, the ~400mb one?
why are they balancing the game around the fucking pvp mode
They've clearly been afflicted by some horrible disease that affects the Brain, maybe they're trying to send us a message, but we're just reading it the wrong way, maybe they need help but we're not seeing that and are instead worsening their conditions.

As far as I know player zeds =/= pve zeds in that they have different stats and shit so ????
Apparently giving zeds resistances so you have to have a balanced team and not 4 zerkers and a medic is balancing around pvp now.

What I mean is that the player zeds already scale based on player perk level, so I don't see how the resistances have anything to do with "balancing the game around pvp".
I just don't know anymore man I just wanna kill zeds and shit why must everything be so complicated :(

If you love kf1 by all means play it. Kf2 is still basically an hd upgrade, it plays great, good gun feel, and a solid class base now with sharpshooter. I found plenty of people playing now with the recent update, so population isn't an issue until all goes quiet at tripwire. I like it over kf1 because I enjoy the look of the new one and the bosses. Hanz is way more fun to play against now, the railgun is nuts, and the m14 feels super great.

I daresay that you should play both. They diverge largely in how they feel through gameplay mechanics and content. KF2 will never capture the magnificence of the earth-shaking boom of a KF1 pipebomb, but KF1 won't have the tight hitboxes and modern graphics of KF2.

husks are the biggest problem with the game at the moment imo. they fuck up everything and ruin the fun. here's a list of shit they absolutely need to change:
1. the fucking flamethrower attack
this would be fine if it were a punishment for running up to a husk and trying to take it on at close range, encouraging players to take them on at range while dodging the fireball shots, but the fact that it can get aggro and sprint up to the player is fucking ridiculous. if husks are supposed to be the ranged zed, they should actively avoid getting close to the player and take pot shots at them.
2. the fucking stupid fucking self destruct attack
the fact that this move exists makes the berzerker's job fucking impossible, how are you supposed to kill something with melee when it can, with no notice at all, give up on life and take you down with it. there isn't enough of a window to predict when it will do this and there's no way to prevent it. it will kill you from full health if you don't have any armour (which is pretty much a given by the end of the wave) and since husks are often the last zed left this can fucking ruin your day when you're about to finish off a wave. whoever thought this was a good idea needs to go to rehab.
3. why the fuck are they so damage spongey
Husks aren't supposed to be bloats, make them quick and evasive. They should be the only zed that tries to run away from you. Design them to use cover to their advantage and stay hidden. For some reason they take like a billion hits from pretty much everything (maybe there's a perk that fucks them up easily but I know it's not sharpshooter, berzerker, gunslinger, firebug or commando) when they should really be about as durable as a siren at best.
From what I know, they only explode if you hit the tanks on their back, if you're playing as Berserker then chances are you're hitting them.

No, Husks always had a suicide attack in KF2.
I get that having the husk suicide is a way to punish overextending zerkers, but it should have a more noticeable audio cue so you have a chance to gain some distance. It's also really silly that it's a one hit kill.

when I'm playing solo zerk trying to get to a level where i won't be a drain on my team in a public game, i deserve to be punished for trying to kill an enemy with the tools available for me. dumb fucking mechanic
I remember the first time I got killed by the Husk's suicide. I blasted him with a Pulverizer round, and he immediately crouched and exploded.

those death explosions doesn't hurt players, only zeds.
he's talking about when the husk puts his rocket launcher into the ground and fires.
on that note, I find husks to be fine
I find Husks to be weak, but I play on Hard so that may not hold true on HoE.

I think I've been killed by everything in the game except a Husk, excluding suicide bomb.
a husk flamethrower on hoe tears you to shreds instantly with no armor. you just need to know what to prioritize

As soon as you go into Suicidal, the threat level of a Husk shoots WAY UP because of the flammenwerfer. It seems to deal even more damage at the edge of its spray as of this update.
Also, is the crossbow worth anything now? The M14 works just fine when it comes to taking down Scrakes.
Somebody said that resistances should only apply to shots that hit anywhere besides weak points, while shots to the head and weakpoints go without any sort of resistances.
That's what I'd prefer right now compared to this sudden choice to make the various zeds inexplicably more spongey to certain weapons. It would still cause resistances to have a purpose, and it would continue to encourage and reward skilled play.
The new maps are really unpolished.
One of them has no ambient sound and the other has lots of visually dodgy areas. I understand wanting to get more content out but I think they should have focussed on one map instead of giving us two half baked ones.
They are community maps, blame whoever guys made them.
The space station one or whatever is literally a corridor shooter

Is it weird when i commando or sharpshooter i have no problem with them?
Once they turn to the side to fire their GREAT BALL OF FIRE.
I shoot 'em in the tank and take 4-7 zeds with him.
I believe the most broken thing in the game is easily The Husk's flamethrower spray he gains on suicidal and above.
I'm fairly certain that thing can shred players quicker than an enraged scrake or fleshpound.
