man all this panic about updates really just wants to just play KF1
[editline]23rd October 2015[/editline]
I mean I might.
That game was sick
I'm a fan of the guns but not the weird style features, I'd honestly prefer more Horzine stylization to the printed weapons
GG killing floor 2 wave 10/10 on suicidal on the last 50 zeds and we're expected to be able to kill 2 flesh pounds and 5 scrakes.
more like 2 flespounds and 2 scrakes followed by 3 scrakes but still. It's absurd.
All of the weapons so far in kf2 are cool... even the new pistols. What I dont like however, is that tripwire is trying to make them all '~xXuniqueXx~'
eg.: Pump shotgun has that flash reducer thing on the end, the aa12 has digital camo, the m1911 has pearl grips, the m79 has tiger strip paint.(the list goes on and on)
I'd much rather prefer standard issue weapons tbh, with no fancy attachments/camo/paint.

Yeah, this would also better convey that you're getting them from a 3d printer which should be using mass produced basic designs.
It's implied in the AK-12's description that the TRADER gets designs by scanning real life models. So apparently some joker at Horzine Biotech is stuffing his 1337 tacticool mall ninja tile-pattern camo gear into the scanner for us to use.

p much
It's possible that the uniqueness of the weapons is because they're scanned of off personal weapons and they keep them that way in case one of the squaddies breaks his favourite m79 or something
That's a good point. Maybe Tom Banner made the guys scan his personal zweihander so he could use the copies and not damage his original one.
The deagle looks extremely worn out damn

Long games should have the same ramp up as medium games, just over a longer period of time. Right now it's like long games are a separate difficulty level.

it's not what I meant, it's that the game threw 2 fps and 2 scrakes at us and then spawned 3 scrakes after that.

I know, I'm just saying that shit only happens in long games due to the messed up ramp up.

It could be worse.
Like getting down to the last ten zeds and having 2 Fleshpounds, 3 Scrakes and 5 Sirens left.
Needless to say, that went to shit very quickly. Yes, this too was Sui Wave 10/10.

Yeah I can't help but notice that the ammo in this game is stupid-low
weapons seem weaker so you have no choice but to spend a lot of ammo but then they put the bullet sponges at the end so I guess they want you to die
Eh, that heat stain on the Deagle throws me off, but atleast there's a good chance that the animations will still be good.
Deagles always get the best animations.

I'll be okay with the heat staining if the deagle's muzzleflash is MASSIVE.
So i haven't played since Demolition and Firebug were added
Has anything been added during this time at all?
Literally ANYTHING?
I want to play this again but i know i'll just end up playing one round until i get bored

Nope, but the amount of hidden achievements imply that there will be something planned for "soon".

I'm telling you, Halloween
I'm telling you, Halloween
I hope that it's not gonna be something i'll spend less than an hour on before being done
tbh when gunslinger comes out no doubt there'll be level 0s on HOE trying to kill fleshpounds
EDIT: Not that that's any different from the current situation but still

Not that Killing Floor has ever had a solid lore (it really hasn't), but I keep this as headcanon as to why the weapons are they way they are in Killing Floor 2. And why you have a jury-rigged double caulk gun turned flamethrower and a future-tech microwave gun in the same category.
Just like Borderlands, they probably bring it somewhere to be scanned into a system that can replicate them later. You can write off cost as cost of materials. I like to think the future-guns (MVG and Medic Stuff) was stolen from Horzine labs.
The trader pod literally prints weapons, so that theory is not too far off
Also we work for Horzine, so we got these weapons supplied to us, more than stolen
Also we work for Horzine, so we got these weapins supplied to us, more than stolen
We're the clean-up crew, though. I think they like to keep the good stuff under wraps until someone stumbles across it, otherwise, why aren't we all drowning in future guns and that advanced body armor Wilkes/Thorne had?
It's not always best to look into it though, because the lore seems to think that the Zeds overthrew most of the world when even the worst militaries could easily handle a horde of unarmored bodies. :v:

Perhaps they save the space guns for the best of the clean-up crew?
I like to think that you start out with whatever is accessible, like a home-made flamethrower or a survival tool, something that you've survived with maybe even before being employed by Horzine. Then as you prove your worth, you use company credit/dosh to get weapons that are harder/more expensive to produce, like the microwave gun.
The futuristic medic guns kinda screw with that theory though. I wish we had more home-made weapons, something that just works and doesn't look ~fancy~
What about the player character's just being a bunch of nutjob wankers who go "No, I don't want a company flamethrower. Gimme that caulk n' burn! Yeah, that gets me loins nickerin'!"
I mean, does that really seem out of character for them?
I really hope that either sharpshooter or gunslinger gets leveled up by using the default pistol. There really is no reason to use your pistol outside of having no ammo for your other perk weapons. At the very least I should be able to use it for wave 1 or quiet scenarios where you rather save your ammo for big boys and just clear some far off trash. Otherwise killing the zeds with it is a waste of potential xp.

You already do level up every perk with starting pistol, getting full xp for whichever you currently are.

Getting that Back Up perk with Commando lets you be a pretend Gunslinger since it makes the 9mm just as strong as the Medic's 101. (IE one shot to pop trash heads.)
How about we make KF2 a channel in slack.facepunch.com?
I play quite a lot in the weekends, but i only have one friend to play with or i play with complete randoms.
Can't figure out how to make one though.
[editline]25th October 2015[/editline]
Need +9 people to start one.
I just hope the 1911 can benefit from the reload perk of Commando and such
I might main Gunslinger but would hope to keep my favourite handgun as a sidearm
