I always use the knife for the first wave no matter the perk. Another bonus is that each perks' knife gives xp towards that perk so if you change to berserker you keep the knife and can level with an offperk weapon that also gets berserker bonuses. I've leveled demolitionist a bit in solo that way.
I rarely use the 9mm on the other hand.
Good thing you local strings will be synchronized with people in your lobby and they can see it.

What also get's me is the music
In KF1, each level had a set playlist for a certain amount of waves, then switches to another for the next, and some songs could never play on certain levels
It made it feel a bit more unique to have them in there, and the themes also felt a bit more like they had something going
KF2's tracks play anytime and everywhere except for Hans' theme, and (To me) all just sounds like generic metal
I'd play with Lyrics but it's mostly just yelling :v:

? I don't think the songs in KF1 were specific.
Also some songs in KF2 are actual songs, not just ones they made for KF1.
Oh well it's moddable anyway so I guess find or make a mod that replaces all the music in KF2 with the KF1 ones.

If you had the choice you probably wouldn't play KF1 with lyrics then.

Ofcourse most of the tracks are by zYnthetic so most are instrumental only.
KF2 also supports selective soundtracks for each map but I think the official maps use all tracks.

They want Killing Floor 2 to be like the first Killing Floor but so far it's just Killing Floor with tanky as fuck enemies (despite them saying they won't generically up the HP values lol) and lack of viable perks

The songs are specific or were, when more maps were released they started using the same music as from previous maps but I might be wrong. The only thing I can think of is the very first maps released in the base KF game which all had some unique tracks (hunger only playing in farm for example)

I use bleed honestly instead of health regen because I always have to be the one run around 1 hour to solo Hans.

it's 3 extra points of damage at best. Not that regen is any better, but knowing I could suddenly outheal the critical damage treshold is good enough for me to keep that perk around

I used a music mod to make it really noticable, and on certain waves of certain levels, there always was a definitive set of music playing
the game in its current state becomes nonfun very quickly, and that's very sad to me.
I hope when GS comes out it brings back my second favorite pastime of carrying as many pistols as possible and shooting them all off and reloading them all during downtime.
Just thinking about it, gunslinger's max magazine capacity will be what, 8 rounds? The perk better come with some slick-ass quick reloads, I don't want to spend half my time just playing a reload simulator.

The knife can kill all wave 1 zeds with one horizontal slash (clot, gorefast, bloat). It saves ammo and therefore money, so why wouldn't you use it?

I actually only use my knife for the first 3 waves as Berserker until I can get the Zweihander. The only time I use the shovel for Husk smashing if there are no other zeds around it, otherwise two heavy swings to the head takes care of it.
That's only granted because I get a damage bonus as Berseker, but knife headshot pokes as non-Berserker do decent enough damage and pushback if you go with kiting the early waves. Saves quite a bit of dosh, even more so if you're in the habit of donating money to your Medic so he can give you free armor.

Actually I think he's talking more about the unique perk design rather than how they actually perform. They have to design 10 different small blades for every perk which we won't look at again past early waves.
I think I'd whip them out for trash more if it didn't take so long to equip with that damned finger flip animation.
Are we going to have to wait a few more months for even another balancing pass? You can't just release demo in this state and go "lol done"

Desert eagle and 1911 are both 7+1
.500 is generally 5 rounds
M92FS is 15 rounds

Yep, the glitched perks showed the Desert Eagle being the .50AE version (rather than .357Mag or .44mag)

You're right, for some reason I thought the 1911 had an 8 round mag. That makes the situation even worse, max 7 rounds per mag for the gunslinger.
I don't count the beretta because it's considered an all-perk weapon in KF2, so it probably won't receive any gunslinger specific bonuses, making its usefulness very limited.

7+1 is 8 for you to shoot, though the game does not account for chambered rounds when reloading (unless I'm blind). So either we're getting 7 rounds on the Deagle and 8 on the 1911, or 8 / 7 on both

The Van Albert's stuff is cool and actually makes me want to play him. The Skull set should die. Flight gear is neat. Criminally insane is mediocre. Front Row Protection is exceptionally mediocre. Boxing Headgear is surprisingly different. Every single skin set should die. The individual skins are alright.

I don't like the super colorful weapon skins, but some are nice, the UN varmint and m79 are neato.
